February 21st, 2007 at 6:25 pmUgh. I can’t say that I’m excited about your choice, Mr. Dollard. It will turn off the people that need to see it. Don’t you want to reach a wider audience? Why don’t you try public tv? Why not try as many venues as possible? Just a thought. I see Fox and I blow it off, you know? Just the way some of these guys would blow off PBS. So if you approach from all angles, maybe then we all get it…
February 26th, 2007 at 5:05 pmwinifred,
I’m sure he has tried the other networks and they have said no! This man has not received any publicity from liberal establishment media precisely because it refutes much of the message they have about iraq.
perhaps you could advocate for him at these other networks?
February 26th, 2007 at 6:45 pmAre you sure? Don’t forget that Vanity Fair (they are unabashedly liberal)did that huge article on him. That is what brought me to his site, even if it was harsh. Perhaps that kind of press will bring others, who knows. I would think that PBS would want it as unbiased as possible (politically) which would be his decision, of course. They probably wouldn’t want him to show his influence. It’s tough, I’m sure. He has such great footage, and I believe in the message–I’d advocate if he wanted. I guess it is the “jihadi killer” fundraising tshirt that I can’t really associate with or defend. You know? It makes it hard to make an intellectual argument for his work. Would it compromise the message of the soldiers to not include that facet so prominantly?
February 27th, 2007 at 11:05 amUnfortunately, winifred if we want to show the reality of any situation then we leave in all the harsh realities. Soldiers who are gung how about killing jihadis are the ones who will lead us to victory, because our enemy doesnt take prisoners! in fact they purposefully kill prisoners. yet our soldiers are criticised for not following the geneva conventions to the letter aganist an enemy that doesnt fall under the protections of the convention them selves, because they dont sevre a foreign nation nor do they wear identifiable uniforms. yet we still treat them well. (many are getting fat in gitmo as we speak.
Take out jihadi killers and you are doing what our media is want to do, take out anything that could be deemed unflattering.
I am encouraged in this war mostly by the kurds for 3 reasons, they support this mission, they have had virtually no violence in their region during this war, and they desire a non-religious form of government.
