I found you just in time, tonight on Fox. I was starting to believe what I was seeing and hearing on the news. I’d become so discouraged with the abstract “reporting” of killings. Killings without context.

It’s a downward spiral. I see all this televised hell, I listen less and less, become desensitised, begin believing that Iraq will forever be a cesspool of death and terror, and tune out. I peek through my fingers to see the daily body count, no context, no facts, just death. Avoidance turns me into an intellectual vegetable. I drool and mutter, “war is bad”. Back to MTV. Back to the Food Channel.

What I’ve been needing is context. Reliable, unfiltered, unimagined, and first-hand reality. Tonight, you’ve given me a little impetus to find my spine, dig for details, and learn. There’s hope in that.

Don’t know if Red Eye was your first TV show that has allowed you to speak for your unique point of view. Hearing a voice of someone who spent time with our troops, rather then just repeating the same trash they all report from the green zone is something I look forward to reading. Want to see you on H&C, the Spin Zone maybe another network. Will anyone else let you on the tube? I hope so. Be carefully THEY will have to ruin you. Good luck, new fan.

Dear Pat,
I am anything but young, but I did happen upon you on Red Eye the other night and immediately bookmarked your web site. I am surrounded by left of lefties and am so happy to find someone besides Oliver North who can speak of Iraq without bias. Thank you. That said, can you answer me this… where do the fatality numbers that the likes of Penn, Fonda,et al come from? They blithely roll 650,000 deaths off their tongues like it can be verified.
I can’t begin to tell you how tired I am of all the rhetoric.

Great video work you have here and I hope someday soon you’ll be able to get the final documentary out. Probably not soon enough to counter the current naive coverage we’re getting from the media.

Regarding Hollywood and now the New York City media blacklisting, you are correct. I know in several cases where this was done to Gerald McRaney, Jameson Parker, and to a lesser degree, Tom Selleck. It’s a reflection of what happens to those of us that do not adhere to the totalitarian neo-liberal ideologies outside these circles of power. In certain cases, I would think some of this behavior may be subject to legal scrutiny.

I heard about you and your story last night, Friday the 16th on Los Angeles AM Radio station KFI 640, on the John Ziegler Show. John was correct, you are an American (my emphasis) Patriot.

As far as your Red Eye Tonight interview, disappointing. Did all the talking heads on that show not understand your story? You, and your immense story were pretty much trivialized on the show. Bummer.

Your story about The Real Truth In Iraq, about our beloved American men and women of The American Militaries, these HEROES, and what they are doing in Iraq (and their many and varied ‘Victories’), is more explosive then an atom bomb, yet RET turned it in to a RPG.

From the bottom of my heart, with all that is in me, “Thank-you Pat Dollard for having the guts, the grit and determination to go to Iraq, to do what journalists are supposed to do in the first place. To show and tell The Real Truth, no more, no less.”

So explane why we are there? You bitch about liberals what about the reason for being there. Was Iraq really a threat to our way of life? I cant stand the pussy peace only liberals but I feel like the right is blowing smoke up our arses just to make a buck.
