God Bless you, man!! I did 20 years in the USAF and have a BA in Arabic. It’s about time someone spoke out about Clooney.
February 12th, 2007 at 7:28 pmHow much did he rake in for “three kings?”
February 13th, 2007 at 12:27 amwhat a jerk!
Pat, I can’t believe you said he wasn’t brave. I think he said it best in ‘Oh Brother Where Art Thou’ when he woke up from a nightmare shouting ‘my hair!’ I would guess that his bravery extends to not having his brand of hair pomade, or what have you.
February 13th, 2007 at 12:44 pmScrew Clooney and his liberal fag buddies. He’s about as brave as Cindy Sheehan.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:32 pm“Clooney actually goes around letting people say he was ‘brave’ for making those movies [’Syriana’ and ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’].
How specifically is Clooney “letting people say” that he was brave? Is he supposed to admonish each person in the U.S. not to say such things? You don’t have to agree with the guy but Amercian soldiers have spilled blood over the centuries to insure that he, like all of us, are allowed to speak their minds without fear. Don’t get all authoritarian on us.
February 13th, 2007 at 6:26 pmI did not know faggots could be considered brave. I don’t think Clooney is brave just because he can take a 12 inch dick up his ass.
February 13th, 2007 at 8:09 pmFucking A Pat! Keep up the good work.
February 13th, 2007 at 8:37 pmRaoul - you said “Amercian soldiers have spilled blood over the centuries to insure that he, like all of us, are allowed to speak their minds without fear.”
If you care so much about the American soldiers who died for free speech, then learn some respect, and don’t be a bitch like Clooney.
And maybe you should be a little more supportive of Pats right to call clooney a pompous jackass. Especially since it is truth.
February 13th, 2007 at 8:37 pmRaoul you dumb mother fucker. George “the cunt” clooney called himself brave you fucking idiot bitch.
February 13th, 2007 at 8:54 pmthat mother fucker, he needs to die. that hippie should get his fuckin F.A.G. then go to iraq and die.
February 13th, 2007 at 10:11 pmWhy are you guys getting so worked up over Clooney? He, and evry other “celebrity,” needs to reassure himself that he is actually a productive human being and brings something into the society. I mean actors, come on. What is productive about acting? They would be nothing without us, hard working people, buying their product. If you disagree with him/her don’t buy or watch their movies as I do. Intellectually they are at the level of a fetus pig, dismiss them.
February 14th, 2007 at 5:45 amThis quote makes me think of Clooney and other lib’s who like to rally in the protection of the US and denigrate the effort of those who allow them that right.
“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.” John Stuart Mill
February 14th, 2007 at 2:04 pmI agree with Brett. Fuck Clooney and the horse he rode in on!
February 16th, 2007 at 8:20 amWow,
Lots of measured, well thought out responses.
Remember, some of the beauty of this country is the push and pull of the left vs. the right and the thought that this push-pull keeps us centered.
February 17th, 2007 at 1:30 amWhat sucks is that Clooney owns the rights to “Gates of Fire”. I’m just waiting for him to destroy that story, with himself as Leonidas of course…
On topic. He’s an ass clown.
February 17th, 2007 at 3:29 amJarhead,
There is a movie coming out March 9th called “300.” It is about the Battle of Thermopylae and is based on Frank Miller’s interpretation of the history. It looks f’ing amazing. So I wouldn’t worry so much about that ass clown ruining anything. Plus, Frank Miller supports the troops.
Keep your head down bud.
February 17th, 2007 at 5:32 amFuck clooney!!!!!!!!!! what a fuckin tough guy!!!
February 17th, 2007 at 10:34 amI completley agree with everybody on here. This shit is getting old, I think we should give clooney a pair of boots and a m16 then lets see how fuckin brave he is. I think everyone should give the service a shot it helped me out a lot. FUCK THE LIBS
February 17th, 2007 at 3:03 pmZell Miller would jerk a knot in his ass
February 18th, 2007 at 4:56 amI agree with lefty vs righty guy. In a world where every one is a stud, how do we feel like men? It’s primas like George and Sean “Ain’t no WMD’s” Penn that make me realize that in the tug o’ war between money and manly, I’ll take manly.
Semper Fi
Oh yeah, Stephen Hunter’s “The Shooter” based on “Point of Impact” is gonna be GOOOOOD!!
February 21st, 2007 at 3:56 pmEmil M has got a good point. Clooney is a pretty boy who can act well(actors make a living pretending to be something they are not) clooney is only pretending to be brave, its an act! get it!
February 21st, 2007 at 5:25 pmAnyone in fro a boycott fo (C)Looney stuff?
February 25th, 2007 at 7:30 amHim and all the other hollywood asses (Pennand his crowd)should shut the hell up or go ride on a bus through bagdad and wait for our boyus to help when the get shuttled off and executed.
Pat
February 25th, 2007 at 9:02 amyou’re doing a great job with your documentary. I’m french. Not proud of it considering what Chirac, a fuckin fag, said about Irak at the time. When will we have the chance to see Young Americans ?
Cheers
Dave
I love when US citizens burn the flag in lawful protest, I love when US citizens run their mouth about things they know nothing about. I love when US citizens can say they are brave and maybe they are not. I love to see US citizens angry at their president because they think he makes poor choices. I love to see US citizens engage in lawful war protest marches. I love it when I see posts, by US citizens, about how much celebs are hated because of their opinions. I love it when Pat starts these conversations.
This is exactly why I became a Marine. To defend the Constitution against all enemies foriegn and domestic.
I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
So help me God.
Keep talkin Clooney. You only add support to our Constitution and everything our country was built on… even if you are a Dumb ASS!!
February 25th, 2007 at 2:19 pmFuck Clooney, he’s a Hollyweird bitch. And Dr. Cod is right; Zell Miller would kick his ass in a southern second! (I know, I live in Georgia… )
February 26th, 2007 at 8:53 amP.S. Pat, I just found your site. Damn, I love it! And what a great post to have made about the Looney.. and right on my birthday! THANK YOU!
February 26th, 2007 at 8:55 amGreat quote about Clooney’s so-called “bravery”. Another brave statement: Clooney recently admitted to having his eyes cosmetically altered, which won him kudos from the press for his honesty. However, he conveniently forgot to mention the fact that he has hairplugs, a nose job, and fake teeth. (George’s hairplugs are better than Al Gores, though)
February 26th, 2007 at 7:59 pmClooney can join forces with that “brave” son of a bitch Sean Penn and every other worthless “celebrity” and march their asses out of MY country. Target practice anyone? Nevermind… waste of ammo… the truly “BRAVE” are the Americans willing to fight and die to protect our freedoms (like freedom of speech) even for those who don’t deserve such freedoms… Semper Fi!
February 27th, 2007 at 7:35 amI would like to thank all our service members for their sacrifice. And especially Semper Fi. He posted the oath i took before a lot of you were born or maybe even finsihed shitting yellow. The oath we all took to defend the Consititution! It brought tears to my eyes. As I have gotten older and hopefully wiser that simple oath has such deep meaning I couldnt fathom as a raw 18 yo joining the Navy during Viet Nam. It’s amazing to read it now almost 40 years after taking it. It’s important to realize that we defended more that just the people walking the land, but a way of life. A way of life that lets people reach their full potential in any way they choose. But the left doesnt want that. They want a society dependant on them, massive underachievers. Example George Looney, Sean Pennis, and so forth. The real problem is the “leaders” who speak such vile about a sitting President. One that saw a need and answered it. Those people have no respect, no loyality. Let them take the oath we took, pull on boots and go fight with what they graciously allow us to fight with. Yes the tug-o-war between left and right is good, but when it gets so one side has the support of a lieing media the balance is lost. In the arena of ideas the guys on the left loose 100% of the time. In the arena of lies, they are porlific. So when they say they support the troops but not the war they are totally out of phase. So you guys in the trenches now, keep your heads down your ammo dry and your faith up. The real Americans hear you and support you not the media, the left wing politicians or our fine Hollywood pretenders. Carry on!!!
March 1st, 2007 at 3:34 amHappy Birthday, Lady Cop
March 3rd, 2007 at 5:57 pmBunch of bullshit whining. He’s the deal. Get our fucking kids home and in one piece or go whole hog in Iraq, install a regime that WE control, get a foothold over there that’s PERMANENT and be prepared to do whatever it takes to defend it. Just know this. The fucking Brits tried this shit for hundreds of years and having NOTHING left of that empire. India, Africa, GONE. They tried to spead imperialism far and wide and got their teeth kicked in. It’s obvious the middle east is going to be a problem for the U.S. to come but it’s HOW WE DO IT that matters. Get that fucking horrible administration out of there, kick Bush’s inept ass back to Crawford and put some motherfuckers in there who CAN RUN THAT WAR! AND STOP GETTING OUR FUCKING MEN AND WOMEN KILLED! Rumsfeld should be dragged to the Hague and strung up! Cheney only cares about lining the pockets of douchebag constituents! That piece of shit holds a record FIVE FUCKING DEFERMENTS in Vietnam!! AND HE’S MAKING WAR POLICY!? WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF BIZARRO, BACKWARD-ASS UNIVERSE IS THIS!?
Get it right, go hard or pull or kids out. I got an even better solution. Get the women and children out of Iraq and Afghanistan, mass exodus for the innocent and then turn both those fucking god forsaken countries into parking lots. Show of force, real force, like WW2, or fuck off and be prepared to watch our people die over there for another ten to fifteen years.
You want Democracy? Get the minds involved that can implement that because the shithead leading the charge doesn’t know his ass from a mortar attack. How we haven’t impeached Bush and blown the entire cabinet to shreds continues to shock and amaze…GET ON THE FUCKING STICK!
DOLLARD! I dig what you’re doing but don’t turn into one of these scattershot, asswipe right-wingers. Use your ‘indoctrinated liberal’ upbringing to separate partisan bullshit from the real thing. You’ve done something nobody in the contemporary media has done. You’ve BEEN THERE. You’ve seen this up-close.
March 4th, 2007 at 12:33 pmPlease don’t allow ego or the promise of becoming the right’s ‘Hunter S. Thompson’ foil you, or fuck you up. You’re obviously highly intelligent and you know the difference. There’s a way to do it. Watching ‘Young Americans’ breaks my heart. You’ve got more to say just be careful how you say it and the message doesn’t get lost in this idiotic, endless fucking pissing match with Liberalism.
joe, you said it. Left, Right, it’s a big ego trip for everyone involved. Some people want to prove their intelligence, others want to prove their manliness, but it’s all ego. We could all benefit from not thinking about ourselves for five fucking minutes- like service men and women, as well as folks down at the soup kitchen, do when they volunteer. We don’t all have to agree on this war (we shouldn’t, it’s a goddamn democracy), but we do all need to be honest, and not self serving. Let’s stop the endless rounds of name calling and do something helpful, folks!
Pat, I want to believe some good is coming out of the great bravery and sacrifice of my brothers and sisters over there in the face of such a deeply cowardly enemy, but the clips you’ve released so far have done nothing but deepen my sense of despair. I was in the gulf between the wars, when it was all beers and barbeque. I had it easy and got lucky, but it could have been me, give or take 8-9 years. I want those guys to get a chance live the life they are fighting for- it beats the hell out of death and despair. They are making sacrafices to give a better life to Iraqis, but we have to seriously analyze whether or not that is possible.
What if the war really is intractable? What if joe’s point about the age of imperialism has merit? Are these possibilities we can afford to discount out of hand? We shouldn’t prolong the suffering of our troops if the war is really un-winnable (not that I’d know, not having first hand experience), anymore than we should hamstring them if it is winnable. Finding a way to analyze that question objectively (without personal, political, or religous agenda) should be the major mission of every intellectual and warrior in the country right now, instead of flexing oiled up brains and biceps like a bunch of self obsessed Venice Beach freaks.
March 6th, 2007 at 2:27 amCome on guys, lighten up!!!!!!!! Clooney is sooooooo brave. Didn’t you catch his death defying interview by Miss Julia Roberts that took place at his ied laden home???????? Did you catch him at the Oscars? Poor guy had to brave the sniper sited stage!!!!!! Let’s hope he’s safe giving more interviews on his opinion of the war, Darfur, which hair products are best from the discomforts of his Hollywood Hills home!!!!!!!! I haven’t had this good of a laugh in awhile. LMMFAO
March 6th, 2007 at 5:24 amHey Pat Im not being sarcastic have you met Clooney? I think I read he wanted to be invovlved with YAmericans but declined after. I grudgingly admit that if you committ to a business contract you must follow thru. Does sound like Clooney is a phoney. Then again actor / phoney is a redundant statement.
March 15th, 2007 at 4:38 amHowever I like Sean Penn because at least he has taken the time and went to Iraq and Iran to see for himself the political dynamics involved. Have you met Sean Penn?
I know you think Im an asshole but respond Id really like to hear.
By the way being liberal I agree that Republicans should not by descriminated agianst in hiring. Thats not the American way. PS I like Arnold as far as Republicans
hey paul, how long did sean penn go to iraq or iran, and who was he the guest of? please tell me how he was able to collect any real insight as to the situation on the ground? he collected as much insight as “hanoi” jane did on her visit to the vietcong. He is a traitor who went ot these places with an agenda for self promotion. amazing he went there against the war and came back with the same impression, what a surprise!
March 26th, 2007 at 11:33 pmSean Penn was in Iraq for four days.
March 27th, 2007 at 3:04 amI for one am a George Clooney fan, I will admit it, I truly enjoy his films, but I do disagree with him about his politics. I wish George wasn’t a lib, but he is and he is welcome to it. But for those who attacked Clooney for making Good night and good luck…well, it did happen didn’t it? A lot of innocent Americans got screwed and had their lives destroyed because of one man’s communist witch hunt.
I for one wish that musicians would just shut up and sing and actors would just act. I like what Alice Cooper said when he was asked about what he thought about some political issue, he reply was priceless….
“If you’re listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you’re a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we’re morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal.”
I think the same should be said for movie actors as well.
The same goes for the Dixie Chicks, they have a right to their opinion, but when they turn the stage into a town hall forum, then to me they have crossed the line. I am really amazed by the mindset of these people when they get called on the carpet for their actions. The Dixie Chicks gal shot her mouth off and what happened? People shut her off and tuned her out. What was the lead singers reaction to what president Bush said? Well, here is what Bush said…
”The Dixie Chicks are free to speak their mind, they shouldn’t have their feelings hurt just because some people don’t want to buy their records when they speak out. You know, freedom is a two-way street.”
What was their great retort?
”What a dumb f—.” She then looks into the camera, as if addressing Bush himself, and reiterates, ”You’re a dumb f—.”
See, use logic and all you get is insulted by the liberal elite. Freedom is a two way street, but these folks only want it going one way….their way.
March 30th, 2007 at 9:57 amDefine Dumb F***!:
A dixie chick who attacks the very people who normally make up their fan base!
April 2nd, 2007 at 11:28 pmClooney is nothing more than an act….and a jackass.
June 19th, 2007 at 3:00 pmSean Penn is a misguided individual who simply suffers emotionally. He performs the same act whether its katrina or Iraq or etc., an seems to be called upon for his performaces.
June 19th, 2007 at 3:11 pm
