Chuck Hagel, Jesus Is On Line One ( UPDATE )
I think it’s time for all of us to have a Come to Jesus Conversation with Chuck Hagel.
Please call, fax or email his D.C. office, and let him know how disappointed, enraged, whatever you are, that he has decided to endanger the lives of our troops by signaling our imminent surrender and thereby encouraging the enemy to keep up the fight. And the fact that he has betrayed his country in a myriad other ways with his vote. And the fact that enshrining a retreat date in the middle of a military campaign, an absolutely unprecedented act of strategic lunacy, may make domestic political sense, but makes absolutely no military sense.
And if you’d like, any individual or group can personally visit him or his staff at his office. Entry is simple, no special permits required.
Accountability, what a concept.
Office (202) 224-4224 Fax: 202 224-5213
248 Russel Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510
Here’s the link for the contact form for his email. Chuckie says he’s too busy to get simple direct email. He says he gets over 300 a day. I get more than that and I don’t need a fancy buffer, but whatever. But hey, he really wants to hear from you because Chuckie claims “Your input is very important to me.” So let’s give it to him.
UPDATE: CHUCKIE’S ON VACATION!!! While the wives and children of our troops, as well as the wounded needing medical care, are left without the funding they reportedly must have by April 15, Chuck Hagel and the rest of the anti-troop, pro-Jihadi Democrats of Congress, are taking two weeks off to luxuriate in self-indulgence. They could’ve stayed to make sure our troops were funded, but lets’ face it: the notion of a guillotin slamming down on the neck of the U.S. Military is a perennial Democrat favorite.
So, here’s a link to Chuck’s Nebraska offices. And he’s got several. Apparently he’s got a lot of money. As well as great chow and swell martinis. Unlike anyone serving in Iraq or Afghanistan.
By the way, who else besides the children of America and Congress, gets a two week Spring Break?
Cheers, Chuck!

March 30th, 2007 at 11:35 amHere’s my email to the Senator:
“Senator Hagel,
At what point did you decide to undercut our troops?
How much pork did it take?
Can we read into this that it goes beyond mere pork for your area?
How much is the life of one Soldier worth to you?
Do you actually hope for an American victory?
These patriots volunteered to do the job. Let them finish it! Allow them to claim a clear victory with a stable Iraq democracy in the Middle East.
Respectfully,

I guess I’m on some shit list now.
Pat, keep up the good work. I can’t wait to see/buy the video.

March 30th, 2007 at 11:39 amOpen Letter to Senator Hagel,
I am insulted by the link to the americasupportsyou.mil site your website. You do not support them, you are willing to put thier lives at greater risk for your selfish political gain.
Look in the morning mirror, and realize you have given your soul away, that you have put yourself above the needs of this country. You are not to be trusted nor depended on to be true to any cause greater than your own personal gain. You are a professional politician, you are not a patriot.
You voted for the authorization to use force. So in your world when the going gets tough you turn and run.
You will continue to lie to yourself, believing in your twisted logic you are doing good, but inside you know you are an empty shell for sell.

March 30th, 2007 at 12:21 pmMr. Hagel,
March 30th, 2007 at 12:40 pmI do not for one second think that you will pay any attention to this missive. I am simply sending it to let your staff person know that as a true American and a voter, I am convinced that you are a traitor to our service men and women which are serving this country. I know that you are self serving. I also know that you were elected to represent people like me. I am dissapointed that you chose to serve only your political wants and not our country. Shame on you! SHAME ON YOU! Your RINO vote sucks.
My letter to the esteemed Mr. Hagel:
*************************
I’ll be brief. I am a US expat currently working in Hungary.
I am simply appalled at your vote this week to set a deadline for troop withdrawal just as the surge is starting to work. The fact the bill was loaded with pork is another ugly fact, but of secondary importance to the utterly ill-advised withdrawal date.
I’m simply disappointed to have you tarnish the term “republican”. As a former member of the armed forces (the 142 MI BN) who did a stint in Tuzla, I’ve got active-duty friends and colleagues in “the Raq” that are loud and vocal about their feelings for you–and these are the men oin the front lines, putting their lives, honor, and our country’s protection on the line while you and your esteemed colleagues from across the aisle utterly, nakedly, undermine them, all the while braying about “supporting the troops. How empty. How vapid. How sad.
You may have made temporary friends by sucking up (I know no nicer term, my apologies) to the media, but you’ve certainly lost respect in the ranks and certainly among those of us in this party.
All men need to vote their conscience, but if this a reflection of yours, then I simply pity the dark hole inside your soul..
How unfortunate for the good people of Nebraska. I hope they eventually understand the cheaply purchased pork you provided simply isn’t worth the price paid. Good day sir. Should you grace the presidential race in 2008, you shall not have my vote. Mr. Palmer
March 30th, 2007 at 12:42 pmHagel will probably explain away that because I’m not part of his constituency (since I’m from Massachusetts), a peon like me has no business pestering him.
This is what Pelosi did when I emailed her about the spray-painted damage done to the Capitol by the anti-war fuckheads.
I can’t stand Hagel. The darker half of me would probably go ballistic.
March 30th, 2007 at 12:56 pmWhen contacting him, I recommend that you refer to the senator’s own words, as mentioned by Gramps above and reported over at the Crimson Blog ( http://www.thecrimsonblog.com/2007/03/29/visionaries-or-spineless-weasels-or-both/ )
Talk about some serious back-tracking!!
March 30th, 2007 at 1:01 pmChuck Hagel soon to be known as the Jane Fonda of the War on Terror.
March 30th, 2007 at 1:06 pmI sent this to Monsieur Hagel under the Flag Request category:
After 25 years of military service I am writing to ensure Flag Requests are treated with the proper decorum and sanctity.
When asked for a flag from the capital, please ensure Mr Hagel does not touch the flag at any time during processing.
The vast majority of military members would not want it given to them afterwards.
As far as your Presidential aspirations - the Democrat party already has enough candidates.
(I stole the last line from Point Five Blog.)
March 30th, 2007 at 2:36 pmHere is my letter to Senator Hagel:
Dear Senator Hagel,
I am absolutely horrified that you have fallen into the trap of supporting the ridiculous scheduled defeat military appropriations bill. What were you thinking? You have daily access to intelligence about the threats against our country, and you must realize the threat from radical Islam is real. Al Queda believes Iraq is the central front in this war we are in. Don’t you believe that too? How can you justify pulling out the rug from under our brave troops while they are in the field? If this bill goes to President Bush’s desk, he will of course veto it, because he really does believe he is responsible for all Americans’ safety. That will leave very little time to send him a clean bill without the planned defeat built into it. If you don’t stand up to those who hate our country and to those who have committed themselves to defeat for personal political gain, then there won’t be a clean bill before serious harm is done to our military. Am I not correct?
I would like to think of you as a misguided well-meaning man who was mislead by the poisoned atmosphere in Washington, and not a traitor who is endangering me and my family. Will you please stand up and act like a patriot?
———-
I did not add in the letter that most people in North Carolina don’t take kindly to playing games with the military’s funding, especially when it puts our young men and women at risk. Part of their understanding in going into the service is that they would have all the support and backing they need while putting their lives on the line to kill bad guys. This bill has to be a new low in American history, giving the enemy a date to hang onto, while demoralizing our own troops. How do we expect the enemy to take us seriously with this foolishness?
March 30th, 2007 at 3:02 pmIacobus - “This is what Pelosi did when I emailed her about the spray-painted damage done to the Capitol by the anti-war fuckheads.”
Yea, I got the same canned email response from her as well. Here is part of it, with another email address people can send to so it goes in the same trash can.
“Congressional courtesy prevents me from replying to emails if I cannot determine that you are a constituent of mine. If you are not a resident of California’s 8th Congressional District and are contacting me in regard to my role as Speaker, please email me at
Congressional courtesy? Please…
Hagel is on my list to send an email to as well.
March 30th, 2007 at 3:02 pmInstead of e-mailing Peelosi as a congressman, email her as Speaker of the House here. At least someone gets the mail that way.

March 30th, 2007 at 3:26 pmThis is entirely off topic, but this story is at the top of the page, so I figure the people who I want to read this might see it.
Bane, I owe you an apology. The only reason you stepped on my dick is because I put it out there for you to step on.
For people who are concerned about my shit, I’m getting plenty of fiber, protein, et cetera. I’ve been reinventing my metabolism, going from eating nothing but crap to eating healthy stuff, but I’ve dropped fifteen pounds in the last twenty-five days, I’m the most fit I’ve ever been in my life, and I’m putting on muscle. My recruiter is pleasantly surprised with my progress, and that matters to me because he’s the one who knows me and where I’m coming from.
I have nothing but the utmost respect for active duty and veteran armed service members, particularly Marines. My desire to join your ranks in the coming months goes deeper and harder than any desire I’ve ever had in my life.
I have not been genuinely discouraged by remarks suggesting I won’t be able to hack it, for whatever reason–perhaps temporarily pissed off, but I find it motivates me when I PT, so I suppose I should thank you for your help.
I refuse to entertain, however, the slightest possibility that I won’t hack it. It simply isn’t an option, and the thought will never enter my mind. Anyone would get pissed off if they were told such a thing by someone who had been there and done that, who had never met them.
If you knew me better (in the real world), you’d like me, and you’d understand that I’m excellent at adapting to where I’m at. I know that I need to shut-up; it’s a process, however, and I’ll be fine at keeping my mouth shut.
I like this site because I can learn something here, from Pat and from people who are serving or have served. Any advice you have for me on PT and bootcamp is welcome.
I am more than determined to become a Marine, no matter what it takes. I’ve come quite a ways since I’ve sworn in, and I’ve got a long ways to go. I hope you don’t mind if I post here in my free time.
March 30th, 2007 at 3:39 pmRummy,
March 30th, 2007 at 3:53 pmI did a hitch in the USAF before I enlisted in the suck. I was sort of a smart ass, and paid dearly for it. Just do as your told, and keep your mouth shut, and you’ll do fine.
I accept. It’s over.
March 30th, 2007 at 5:57 pmPat,
“Message to the Democratic Party Leadership”, from Cpl Mason
Cpl Chris Mason recorded this video message to the Democratic Party Leadership, before he was killed in action in Iraq. Chris was killed by Al Qaeda terrorist. He produced this video on November 12th 2006 at FOB Summerall. This video just recently worked its way to me (his dad) on March 23rd 2007, now I am posting it to the internet for him. It reflects his beliefs about the war in Iraq, the people of Iraq, freedom, why he joined the US military, what he expected after joining the military, and if the men and women already lost in the war will be lives wasted.
Cpl Mason was killed on November 28th, 2006 by Al-Qaeda Terrorist forces operating in Iraq. He was laid to rest December 12th 2006, exactly thirty days after making this video statement to the Democratic Party Leadership.

March 30th, 2007 at 7:15 pmWell, here’s my missive: “You jerk. You are a traitor to all the servicemen and women giving their lives for our country. Don’t you dare consider running for anything on the Republican ticket…ever. You and your crony whatsit from Oregon belong in the liberal socialist party”. I am so ANGRY that I can’t remember what else I wrote but rest assured, there was much more. What a jerk!

thanks for the link to black and right video. inspirational.!
March 30th, 2007 at 11:26 pmWhat I just said to Traitor Hagel via his web contact form — thanks for the direct link:
Mr Hagel,
You once served with honor. You now act traitorously. What has happened to you? Who turned you? Who of our enemies has touched you? Did you recently convert to some religion or other life management system that dictates that you betray your own soldiers? Between you and Pelosi, our country is doomed.
As of 20070331:
1755 Appeal for Redress signatures collected
1992 Appeal for Courage signatures collected – since 20070212
In Spanish there is a word for people like you: sinvergüenza
I thought that electing former military would ensure that the military would get taken care of. Apparently some former soldiers left their bravery behind when they took off the uniform.
Please ignore America’s Congresscreeps, they are fools… granted, dangerous fools, which I and many more like me are trying to rectify, as fast as we can.
But please know this: if Congress acts like it won’t fund the war anymore, then all hell will break loose over here. And if I have to, I’ll send a check to GEN Patreaus.
To all My Soldiers fighting in Afghanist and Iraq, you all make me so very proud. Keep killing the enemy without hesitation, come back as whole as you can, I will treasure you as you are, leave proud of your work and of your brethren.
March 31st, 2007 at 10:01 amNone of these guys read anything. They have staff to do it. If you write about an issue he is working on and his work co-incides with your desires, his staff will respond under his name. He doesn’t care, about us, about the troops, about anything but being temporarily popular.
March 31st, 2007 at 11:52 amI said a nasty thing in a later story correcting your grammar. I apologize, you are a real man to write that pots and godspeed to you in the core. You will excel with such a strong mind. Salute.
March 31st, 2007 at 12:29 pmSenator Hagel, just because he served in Vietnam does not make him an expert on all things military. He is the epitome of a RINO…Republican in Name Only! It is shocking what he and those of his ilk will do in order to attempt to discredit our Commander-in-Chief. Unlike our courageous President, I do question the patriotism of the majority party (to include Hagel, Smith and the House Republican traitors).
March 31st, 2007 at 7:31 pmMy recent letter to Hagel…….
Senator Hagel;
Although not a “direct” constituent of yours, I like many other registered voters are utterly amazed, confused and quite frankly disgusted by your recent actions when it comes to the war in Iraq. I write to you “a future presidential hopeful” as a concerned citizen of this great country. You and your cohorts in crime, have undermined the President and even more importanly have undermined our service men and women; not to mention indirectly supporting and embolding our enemies.
In December 2002, you co-wrote an op-ed “Iraq: The Decade After”. First and foremost, the title says all…. “Decade” or “The most challenging phase will likely be the day after — or, more accurately, the decade after — Saddam Hussein…
Once he is gone, expectations are high that coalition forces will remain in large numbers to stabilize Iraq and support a civilian administration. That presence will be necessary for several years, given the vacuum there, which a divided Iraqi opposition will have trouble filling and which some new Iraqi military strongman must not fill. Various experts have testified that as many as 75,000 troops may be necessary, at a cost of up to $ 20 billion a year. That does not include the cost of the war itself, or the effort to rebuild Iraq” When did a decade become just over 4 years? Do you and the other “leftists” really believe that rebuilding the Iraqi Army can be done in a few short years after we totally destroyed them? Especially with all the bombings and threats to their families. Do you really feel this can be a totally diplomatic effort? These radical “Islamic fascists” do not care about human life, and diplomacy means nothing to terrorists. If that were true, the world would be safe place, when in fact, we, by our own experience on 9/11 know better. Let’s not make the same mistake.
In addition, you rightly pointed out in the editorial that it would be a long but tough journey…
“Americans are largely unprepared for such an undertaking. President Bush must make clear to the American people the scale of the commitment.”
I think that speaks for itself……..
There has been “rhetoric” comparing Iraq to Vietnam. The only comparison that can accurately be made is the “politics” here in America. You, along with other conservative dissenters and the majority of the Democratic party, are politcally turning this into a Vietnam like war with such statements as:
“There will be no military solution in Iraq. That reality must guide our thinking. The status quo is unacceptable. We will vote for change.” (Kane, Paul, The Washington Post, March 30, 2007)
However, Sir, it’s not too late to “vote for a change”. After the President vetos this bill, you and the rest of Congress, can put a bill together (without all the “pork”) to support Iraq and more importantly support our troops without all the strings attached.
Up to this point, your actions are a disgrace to your constituents, the military and the United States of America.
Sincerely
March 31st, 2007 at 9:45 pmDennis Lester

March 31st, 2007 at 9:56 pmTo: Richard1….
My condolensces to you and your family….
March 31st, 2007 at 10:11 pmGreg and Lacobus: When you email our esteemed Speaker of the House you might want to remind her that she’s been assuming you as her constituency since her ascension. Isn’t she one of those Democraps who’s become quite fond of telling everyone that the AMERICAN PEOPLE (I’m assuming she means all of us) gave her a MANDATE to perform her perversities on Capitol Hill?
April 2nd, 2007 at 2:49 pmnituathaill - way ahead of you there. I actually sent two emails to her about her misuse of ‘the American people’ so she could have more paper to throw away or email to delete. Below is one I sent. In retrospect I should have started it off with “Your Highness” or “Madam Princess Speaker” or “Blinker”. I purposefully did not use the term “Mrs. Pelosi” as that is a term of respect which I have none.
Nancy,
Please stop speaking for me and others who do NOT agree with you. When you make statements like, “”The American people have lost faith in the president’s conduct of this war,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. “The American people see the reality of the war, the president does not.”’ you are speaking for me and I do not like it. Please stop using the phrase “the American people” as you do not speak for every American. You most certainly do not speak for me.
I have not lost faith in President Bush’s handling of the war, and I am completely confident that no Democrat could do any better. All the Democrats want to do is run away. They can’t even handle a debate on Fox News! If they can not handle this, I have zero confidence that they can handle the enemies of the United States.
I am sure this email will just get deleted like everything else us common cake-eating LEGAL citizens send to our elected officials. I am even more sure you won’t even be bothered to read this. Please stop embarrassing my country.
Greg – LEGAL citizen of the United States of America.
PS – The above quote was taken from the following link.

April 2nd, 2007 at 3:45 pmBravo, Greg! Though I’m fairly positive that you’re right in your summation that she will NOT read your letter, nor would she feel in any way chastened by it if she did. Her kind seek nothing more or less than power and really couldn’t care who they trample in the process. I myself am convinced that most in Congress prefer their banana republic-style hold on the leadership of this nation…far too long in power for my taste. There should be no such thing in this country as a professional politician. “Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely” has not skipped the hallowed halls of Washington D.C.
I do think that “Blinker” is a great pet-name for our dear Ms. Pelosi…it sets her firmly in the same camp with “Squintyblinks” Ahmadinajad!
