Democrats And Warriors. The Troops Lay Dying, And Need Medical Funding. The Dems Are Getting Drunk For Two Weeks
There is no doubt that the Democrats’ three year campaign to force a defeat in Iraq is responsible for the deaths and injuries of countless American servicemen. An essential component to winning this war, is to look the enemy in the eye and tell him that we are not leaving until we achieve victory. The worst thing our side could have done, was to tell the enemy that there was a really good chance we’d just give up. That encouraged the enemy to keep killing our troops, and allowed him to continue to recruit and raise funds. it extended the war. The Democrats and the MSM clearly and openly did this to their own country. As far as Iraq goes, there is absolutely no distinction between the Democrats and Al Qaeda. They are allies of convenience, brought together by a common enemy: George Bush and the Republican Party.
Today our troops are fighting. Today Chuck Hagel and his Democrat teammates are lounging around the house on a two week vacation. It’s 5:25 P.M. Many are sipping highballs. In front of plasma screens and surround sound systems. Maids are cleaning up after them, cooking their dinners. Most of them have never been to Iraq. Nearly to a man, none of them have any idea what is actually going on in Iraq. The same Iraq that Nancy Pelosi recently said had no Al Qaeda in it. Zarqawi anyone?
Nancy Pelosi sent a clear message to the troops, America, and our enemies before she kicked off her shoes. She did two things to send this message. She refused to let Congress pass a condemnation of Iran’s kidnapping of our ally’s sailors, and she sceduled a cozy rendevous with the President of Syria - - an enemy of the United States, a State Sponsor of Terrorism, a known killer of American troops in Iraq. As our troops lay dying, Nancy Pelosi is drinking with terrorists. As our troops lay dying, Nancy Pelosi is drinking with their killer.
Why did she do this? What criterion of appropriate action for an elected official did this meet? None. it met the only criterion of action that matters to the Democrat Party: Does it hurt George Bush?
And while Hagel and company indulge in the highballs and high living of their Spring Break, this is what is going on with the young Americans in Iraq. Noble young people voluntarily serving their country, while ignoble power-hungry Democrats are merely leeching off of it. What follows is a the story of a young Marine wounded by the Dems’ allies, fighting for his life, who badly needs your prayers. Please keep in mind that in this particular Congressional financing supplemental, most of the funding is for medical care, not combat.
Please forgive the mass nature of this email, as I hope you understand, I rarely, if ever, reach out in this way. Time is running out.
From my posts about Marine DJ Emery Jr.- DJ Emery Story
Marine Corporal David Emery Jr. of the Battalion Landing Team of the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit was serving in Iraq. David, aka “DJ”, graduated high school in 2003. He is married to the beautiful lass in the above photo, Leslie, and she is pregnant. DJ’s unit was extended past their rotation date of January 1st and he was hoping to make it home in time for his child’s birth.
On February 7th, 2007, DJ was at a checkpoint near a crowded place when a terrorist walked up to the Marines. DJ’s Battalion Sergeant Major, Joseph Ellis (a recon Marine of 23 years), suspected that a bomber was approaching and put himself between the bomber and his Marines.
The bomber quickly detonated himself, instantly killing Sergeant Major Ellis. The Sergeant Major’s sacrifice absorbed enough of the blast to barely keep DJ from being killed. DJ was hit hard in his abdomen - an artery was cut causing kidney failure - both legs and one arm were shattered, and, in fact, his wounds were so severe that doctors didn’t think that he’d make it.
They had him on a respirator, fighting infection, fever, kidney failure and other problems for a time before he stabilized enough (just barely) to make the flight to Germany where his parents and wife met him. While still unconscious, his family kept telling him to fight. Then, on the 18th, DJ was strong enough to make the trip from Germany to the US (Bethesda).
His prognosis is hour to hour so prayers at anytime are needed.
As of today, both his legs have been amputated and are infected. DJ’s stomach wound is infected and can’t be closed until the infection is gone. And his kidneys are not working still…
DJ and Leslie will have a little girl soon. I think I’ll be able to get you Baby Shower information at a later time.
DJ’s father, David, attended Sergeant Major Ellis’ funeral at Arlington Cemetery on the 21st.
Sergeant Major Ellis’ daughter Rachel said, “He just wanted to make a difference. Anytime he was asked to go somewhere, even times when he didn’t have to, he would. He wanted to be there for his troops.”
Sergeant Major Ellis was ‘Always Faithful’ to DJ.
We should be the same.
Please pray for DJ.
Email this message to your friends and families. Ask them to have their churches, synagogues, or mosques to offer prayers for DJ. I will ask our minister in Ft. Myers to do this tomorrow.
At this point, DJ needs a miracle.
Thank you.
Matt

“and she sceduled a cozy rendevous with the President of Syria, an enemy of the United States,”
For some reason Bush chose not to go after Hanoi John after the 2004 election when he was all over the world talking policy. Hopefully this time he will go after Peelosi with the Logan act if she runs off at the mouth.
March 31st, 2007 at 5:11 pmHello all,
This is the first time I’ve posted here. First and foremost, allow me to say that I will keep Marine Corporal David Emery Jr. in my prayers. Second, your comparison of The Democrat Party and Al Qaeda is dead on. Our enemy is no longer solely overseas. If allowed to continue it’s political terror, the Democrat Party will force our nation, against it’s will, to failure and defeat in Iraq. I thank you, Pat, and all who frequent this blog, for supporting our nation and our troops in this time of war. I look forward to further postings and constructive conversation.
Sincerely,
Justin T. Cooke, M.D.
March 31st, 2007 at 5:54 pmInteresting to contrast McCain’s sense of honor/duty with his self-serving colleagues on the other side of the aisle — the last sentence of the first paragraph says it all:
With reports of progress in Iraq, the issue is turning in McCain’s favor. McCain hasn’t changed his tune. His support for the war has been unswerving. “Some people say, hey, aren’t you worried about the presidential race?” McCain told me. “Please!” When you see wounded soldiers from Iraq in wheelchairs and on crutches, he says, that should be enough to dissolve any political considerations.
McCain’s convention address is still the best explanation of why it was necessary to topple Saddam Hussein. “Our choice wasn’t between a benign status quo and the bloodshed of war,” he said. “It was between war and a graver threat. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. . . .Whether or not Saddam possessed the terrible weapons of mass destruction he once had and used, freed from international pressure and the threat of military action, he would have acquired them again. . . . We couldn’t afford the risk posed by an unconstrained Saddam in these dangerous times.”

March 31st, 2007 at 8:16 pmThe Story of Sgt Major Ellis’ sacrifice and willingness to be “Always Faithful” to his unit and to DJ are the storys of which Heros are made. I am not a learned man, but it takes no scholar to recognize that when those who are in authority chose to give there lives for others, the moto, “Always Faithful” takes on a whole new meaning. Dear God, When will the American Government chose to be always faithful to its boys in war.
March 31st, 2007 at 8:18 pmthe big question, how many marines die as a result of her actions?
thanks nancy,
marines are always glad to die for your bad ideals
April 1st, 2007 at 6:22 amOkay - is there anything in the laws that allow Americans to have members of congress removed from office if they are not doing their job. Pat is absolutely right when he states that the Democratic party did not, in any way, run their campaigns on the premise that they would stop funding for our troops and pull them out. I’m serious . . . what can be done?
April 1st, 2007 at 7:02 amyeah but she could care less. she’s a piece.
April 1st, 2007 at 7:04 am“Death to Nancy Pelosi”
it seems this kind of rhetoric is what will get a democrats attention, but a politicians visit to an enemy country doesnt seem to register. I think nancy should try running for president….of Iran. She certainly has many friends there.(her home away from home)
April 2nd, 2007 at 8:27 pmTJ - Didn’t you get the memo? Everything the extreme left does is perfect. Everything Democrats do is great. Everything Republicans do is horrible. Everything the extreme right does is aligned with Satan.
If Bush or anyone else on the right would have done the exact same thing the left would have had a fit. They would also bitch about not being briefed on it beforehand and having time to prepare a proper response.
Pelosi going to Syria probably caused several simultaneous orgasms on her side of the isle. If only it was legal to smoke a cigarette in the capitol.
April 2nd, 2007 at 8:37 pmIn syria, they call it an “Allahgasm” i believe?
April 2nd, 2007 at 11:20 pmI’ve seen and heard several variations of this ’story’ (Reid May Move to Cut Iraq War Funds) on the web and radio yesterday, April 02. Below is my ‘eleventh-hour’ synopsis of this Associated Press story.
“If the president vetoes the supplemental appropriations bill and continues to resist changing course in Iraq, I will work to ensure this legislation [ending funding for combat operations after March 31, 2008] receives a vote in the Senate in the next work period,” Reid said in a statement.
I could have sworn the ‘early-morning’ version of this story was even more galling and pretentious then it is now. Actually I know it was because I saved the first sentence from it - for a purpose (I previously ‘e-mailed’ Sen. Reid many days ago… basically to accuse him of “evil” intent, of being a “self-serving crook” as well as a “shallow/small man”).
H. Reid’s open display of thoroughly monstrous arrogance, especially when considering recent events, really ‘bent’ me out of shape. So I decided to use his ‘web-form’ again… and using the early-morning ‘quote’ as the lead off - threw most of my previous attempts at ‘restraint’ out the window. Below is my ‘form submission’ to Sen. Reid:
“WASHINGTON (AP) - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Monday he will try to cut off funding for the Iraq war if President Bush rejects Congress’ proposal to set a deadline for ending combat.” To hell with ‘civility’… you sir are a pig-eyed sack of s**t. Your treasonous actions are, and will be, directly responsible for the grievous injuries and deaths of untold hundreds of American service personnel. If ‘GW’ slapped your stupid a** in irons and shipped you off to “GiTMO”… far more then half of this country’s people would cheer. You’re such a left-wing cheep ‘political w*ore’ of a Senator.

They’ve all been dishing out plenty of venom for years now… I think it’s high time to throw a lot of it back.
‘Greg - USA’ is of the opinion (as expressed to me in comments at Mr. Dollard’s posting of the Nov. 1979 cover of TIME) that our aristocratic rulers in Washington pay scant attention to correspondence from the ranks of us ‘plebes’. But I think, at least, someone working for these ‘public servants’ keeps a tally of the total numbers of ‘for’ and ‘against’… for the ‘pleasure’ of their opinion-conscious bosses. Anything that might jar such morons, like Sen. Harry Reid, out of their ‘bubbles’ of self-adulation and worship is worth a shot.
I don’t think I could ever express how the ‘whole story’ at this posting effects how I feel; I’m just not that strong. Thank God this Nation has people serving us all who are… and so much more.
April 3rd, 2007 at 2:03 amI sure hope the syrians and iranians fully understand nancy and her constituency,
April 3rd, 2007 at 6:07 amThe Honourable Mr. Bush has just called out congress, and laid down a punk card
April 3rd, 2007 at 6:15 amtelling congress to quit screwing the troops
The Bush I hear is the one I voted and campaigned for.
He put out an olive branch to those elected hippies and now can take the high ground and beat them with their on hypocrisy.
He needs to use the bully pulpit and stay on the offense for the remainder of his term.
April 3rd, 2007 at 6:29 amPelosi and the congressmen with her should be charged with violating the Logan Act, Rick Warren of Saddleback Church should be prosecuted (he visited N. Korea, Syria governments), Jesse Jackson (went to Syria, who knows where else). These clowns are dumber than a box of rocks.

I do hope you are right. I haven’t given up and keep sending emails and whatever else I can do. I do think the emails that could possibly get more attention on their end are the ones written as well as possible. If we start slamming them and bitching them out those will most likely be thrown out before they even finish the email. The one I posted here that was sent to Pelosi was not the first. I started off nice and increased my aggravation with each subsequent email.
April 3rd, 2007 at 6:57 pmI’m still kind of ‘new’ to this whole ‘blog’ thing, so I hope I’m doing this right.
Regarding: Our ’shared’ frustrations (a reply for Greg - USA)
I have, in the past, resisted the temptation to ’stoop’ to the level of the average leftist rabble-rouser when ‘writing’ to various politicians. But after enduring ‘years’ of hearing, mostly Democrat, politicians and their propagandists refer to the President and V.P. (as well as the Military) in the most derogatory of terms. As well as the occasional acts of violent ‘civil disobedience’ perpetrated against some Republican and/or Conservative intellectuals and politicians… I’ve grown tired of continuing to take the ‘high road’ in such matters.
As far as ‘Mr. Harry Reid’ is concerned - it seems to me that his primary purpose for serving in the U.S. Senate is, and always has been, to use his accrued ‘influence’ in government to make himself a very rich man. I suppose it could be said (cynically) that ‘most’ politicians actually do this. But ‘one’ could choose to be a Patriot while also choosing to abuse the power of their office.
April 4th, 2007 at 6:33 amThis may not fit in this thread but it fits somewhere.
JAY LENO….”HITS THE NAIL ON THE HEAD”
Be Grateful
Actually, only the last paragraph was from Jay Leno, but Craig R. Smith,
the true author definitely hits that nail on the head!!!
“The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true given the source, right? The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the president. In essence 2/3s of the citizenry just ain’t happy and want a change.
So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, ”What we are so unhappy about?”
Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day,7 days a week? Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter? Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job? Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?
Maybe it is the ability to drive from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without hds of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough. Or could it be that not having to present identification papers as we move through each state? Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter? I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough. when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.
Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family and your belongings.
Or if,while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes , an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss,This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90 percent of teenagers own cell phones and computers.
How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world? Maybe that is what has 67 percent of you folks unhappy.
Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S. , yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don’t have , and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.
I know, I know. What about the president who took us into war and has no plan to get us out? The president who has a measly 31 percent approval rating? Is this the same president who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11? The president that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession?
Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks?
The commander in chief of an all-volunteer armed services thats out there defending you and me?
Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk shows?
Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn’t take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad?
Think about ……are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the “Media” told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful ass every day.
Make no mistake about it. The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases may have died for your freedom.
There is currently no draft in this country. They didn’t have to go.
They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ”general’ discharge, an ”other than honorable” discharge or, worst case scenario,a ‘dishonorable” discharge after a few days in the brig.
So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans? Say what you want but I blame it on the media. If it bleeds it leads and they specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a car crash
with blood and guts. How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner?
The media knows this and media outlets are for-profit corporations.
They offer what sells , and when criticized, try to defend their actions by
“justifying” them in one way or another. Just ask why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book about how he didn’t kill his wife, but if he did he would have done it this way……Insane!
Stop buying the negativism you are fed everyday by the media. Shut off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom of your bird cage. Then start being grateful for all we have as a country. There is exponentially more good than bad.
We are among the most blessed people on Earth and should thank God several times a day, or at least be thankful and appreciative.”
“With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and
April 12th, 2007 at 4:55 amwith the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, “Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?”
Jay Leno
