PSYCHO KILLER - Leaves Note Ranting About “Debauchery” “Charlatans” “Sluts” And “Phony Rich Kids” On Campus. Didn’t Anybody Brief Him On College?
South Korean Killer Cho Seung Hui
***UPDATES***
- Cho wrote the “long, disturbing note” AFTER the first round of killings when he stopped back in his dorm room. “You made me do this” is one of its standout lines.
-Korean man on a student visa. Had been raised in U.S. Parents still living here. 23 years old. Thought his girl was seeing someone else, so he whacked her and a student adviser who was trying to break up their fight.
- Police believe he made 3 bomb threats last week to test campus security
- No Accomplices Suspected
- 2 professors, one wounded, one killed, cited as heroes for resisiting shooter at classroom doors
- The Leftist Political Exploitation Teams gear up, as domestic media hints at upcoming editorial assault on extended-round magazines and, as Europe collapeses under the weight of it’s suicidal Leftits policies, it recommends we adopt them regarding self-defense. Charlton Heston also held repsonsible.
- President Bush will deliver a live adress from V-Tech at 2 PM EST. Live on networks.
There were two shootings on the V-Tech campus, not one. Reports so far indicate that they were commited by the same gunman. They happened two hours apart. Campus officials decided not to shut down the campus after the first one, even though the gunman had not been captured or killed. The university gave no warning or notification to students that a shooting had occured and that the gunman had not been apprehended, until two hours later. By that time, the gunman was working on his second massacre.
Oh, and ABC News decided to almost immediately run a poll on their website, asking the question: Is Shooting Grounds For Gun Control? So far, at about 16,000 to 8,000, voters are responding 2-1 against whatever undescribed “gun control” ABC was talking about. Although, by implication, it would seem they meant a ban on all guns, since the nation already has much “gun control”. Also, a friend of mine wrote to me that she was at a university years ago when an Asian student shot 8 people to death. I think it’s clear we need stronger Asian Control laws.
ON THE SCENE WITH THE LOCAL PAPER AND REGULAR EYEWITNESS UPDATES
Samples:
CNN:
Asked why the campus, which has more than 26,000 students, was not shut down after the first shooting, ( V-Tech President ) Flinchum responded that police received information that “it was an isolated event to that building and the decision was made not to cancel classes at that time.”
( V-Tech Police Chief ) Steger added, “We had, uhm, some reason to believe the shooter had left campus.”
Fox News:
Police at the campus in Blacksburg, Va., said they are still investigating whether the two shootings — which occurred on separate ends of campus about two hours apart from each other — are connected.
But there are still many questions left unanswered, including who the shooter was, whether he was a student, why no one stopped him in between shootings.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, if that’s true, some fucking heads should roll (particularly of the campus official kind).
April 16th, 2007 at 12:58 pmStill no name…. Am I the only one who thinks that if the shooter’s name was oh, something like Walker or Texas Ranger it would be all over the news by now…
April 16th, 2007 at 1:17 pmTruly a sad day for the American people. While my thoughts and prayers go out to the families and victims of this brutal crime, I can’t help but also think that this terrible event will be used to fuel the left’s anti-gun agenda.
April 16th, 2007 at 1:30 pmThose deaths would have been preventable if a campus staff member of another student had conceal-carried.
Except for the fact that VTech has a total gun ban on campus for the purpose of “keeping you safe”. Look how well it worked.
April 16th, 2007 at 1:33 pmWell the shooter is dead right? So they might not even know who he is. And who is this asian kid getting cuffed, is that the shooter? Was he arrested before killing himself? Or was this just some poor innocent kid who happened to be near the scene and asian getting plastered all over the place getting cuffed. I can imagine his parents reaction when they start watching the news to see if he’s alright.
April 16th, 2007 at 1:33 pmREASONS FOR CUFFING THE ASIAN DUDE:
1. He was the closest non-white person around.
April 16th, 2007 at 3:03 pm2. You can’t read his eyes to tell what he’s thinking.
3. Thinking “we’re all gonna die,” he started masturbating in front of everyone.
4. Is a devout Muslim who likes to throw rocks at cops.
5. Was smoking dope openly on campus at the wrong time!
yea number three happens all the time, I heard those left on the deck of the titanic were working it to the beat of ‘nearer, my god, to thee’
April 16th, 2007 at 3:10 pmApril 16th, 2007 at 3:11 pm
There has not been enough information released as yet to understand who the shooter was. I really will be waiting with baited breath to know the name..
April 16th, 2007 at 4:05 pmThat said, as a Mother,I can’t help but wonder what went so terribly wrong with this shooter…
After we find out we, as a nation, need to speak out long and strong about how we produce young men and women able to give their lives for our country and… psycho killers, raised in our country willing to kill 30 unarmed civilians cowering in front of him…
How do you raise one type of child against another? That is the question I take from all of this.
I have one son serving in the Navy and another currently in school at SUNY Binghamton. While I have never considered myself a “model” parent, at least I didn’t raise two psycho killers… We need to really look at how this country produces such deviants…
I watched NBC News this evening to see what they would report. It only took a few minutes for them to announce that the assault weapon ban on larger capacity clips had only recently expired. They produced a full graphic detailing how a nine round clip holds much less than a nineteen round clip. Huh… I had no idea. Obviously this ban needs to be reinstated to prevent things like this from occurring again.
Then they broke away briefly for even more important news about recent deaths of our troops in Iraq. I guess it was just too easy to link them together. They are going to have an hour-long expose on the events of today. I am betting they will get into the gun ban and not even mention HB-1572.
On a side note, but somewhat related, today I talked with a friend who is a retired police officer. He whole-heartedly recommended getting a carry permit.
April 16th, 2007 at 4:10 pmIt takes a village to raise a child, according to the next president. Forgo your individual beliefs and morality and sumbit to the ideas of the mob of the unwashed, that will fix it.
The destruction of the family unit, is a large reason.
Seperate parents often have seperate values which impact a childs life in a confusing way, these people are often selfish and one or both put the responsibility of parents as a secondary task.
April 16th, 2007 at 4:17 pmThe whole gun argument is bunk. The kid shot more than 60 people. Even with extra large clips, that involves multiple reloads. I will never understand why no one ever tries to stop the lunatic when they’re re-loading. Sad day.
April 16th, 2007 at 4:32 pminteresting headlines hitting drudge, bomb scares may have been used to gauge security reponses, 24 yr old chinese on student visa here in aug 7, as sarg schultz would say, very intersting…
April 16th, 2007 at 4:49 pmBabs, I’ve gotta disagree with you in blaming the parents. 99% of the time, I’d agree with you, but there are genuine sociopaths born, and there is nothing the best parents could do to help them.
Example: pasted below is a letter from the mother-in-law of a teenager who beat a homeless man to death and then blamed it on video games; it was sent to a video game website, as one of the site’s author’s asked, “Where were the parents?” Well, the parent responded, and it’s worth a read. The reason I posted it? It backs up my “pure evil” theory; if you weren’t so easily duped by the media, you’d know that child abductions, school violence, and violent crime in general have been on a steady decline for over a decade.
Thoughts, not emotions, people.

Gabe,
Your news post about the kids and the homeless man yesterday made me sick to my stomach, before I even read the CNN article. I knew what it was going to be about before even reading the article. It was not the article itself, or even your post that made me sick, it was the fact that I know this boy. Or, rather that I could be considered one of the “parents” of this boy.
The boy’s father and I have been together for almost seven years, and I had what I guess could be called a “stepmother” relationship with the kid. To say that living with this kid was hell would be a complete understatement.
I don’t think I have ever actively hated anyone in my entire life, but this kid just makes my blood boil.
As I write this, my teeth are clenched, my hands are shaking, and my whole body is seething with the hatred I feel for this kid and what he has done. Seeing the article brings back all the horrible memories from when he lived with us.
He was constantly in trouble in school, with the cops, with us, with his mother, and with anyone else who was an authority figure. Not a week went by that the school or the cops wouldn’t call us for something. His attitude was basically “fuck you, I don’t have to listen to you” said with a shrug.
We tried absolutely everything we could think of to get him to behave like a normal human being… we tried groundings, negative reinforcement / punishment, positive reinforcement, counseling, and anything and everything the counselors suggested. We tried to get him interested and involved in extracurricular activities, like hockey, drama, music, art, anything, but he got himself kicked out of every group he was in with his “make me” attitude. When we would ground him, we took away everything. No TV, no computer, no phone, no leaving the house, no snacks or junk food…. Everything. When he was grounded, he was only allowed to sit in his room and read or draw. He was actually a pretty good artist, and we tried to encourage him to spend his time working with his talent. He would just sit there and take it… the groundings had absolutely no affect on him at all. Most of the time, he didn’t even remember why he was being grounded. At the end of it, we would ask him if it was worth it to have everything taken away in exchange for what he did… he usually just shrugged. He could be grounded for weeks, or a month at a time, and then the very next day would do something to get back in trouble again. Most kids get grounded or punished a couple of times, and then they want to avoid having to go through it again… not this kid, nothing seemed to phase him.
And we’re not talking the usual teenager stuff, like coming home late, or refusing to do the dishes. We’re talking stealing cars, setting fires, drinking, getting picked up for drugs, beating up handicapped kids at school (yes, really) stealing things out of our house… all with this “I’ll do whatever the fuck I want” attitude.
We had absolutely no idea what else we could do. We already had him in counseling, and we did everything the counselors suggested. We tried rewarding his good behavior (what little there was) to try to get him to see that when he behaves like a normal human being, things are good and people enjoy being around him. Nothing phased him at all.
Then, things took an even worse turn when he decided that whenever he didn’t get his way, or we did something he didn’t like, he told his counselors and teachers that we were abusing him. (Never happened.) And for some inexplicable reason, everybody believed him. I understand that child abuse is a very serious situation, and that they have to take every possible case seriously, but this was clearly a case of him manipulating people to get what he wanted. We had people from the school, cops, and social services over at our house or calling us on a weekly basis stating some new abuse that he had made up. At 14, the boy was already 6’3” and over 200 pounds. Of course, there was never a mark on him, because no such abuse ever took place.
One particular night (cops involved, as always) he decided that he didn’t have to listen to anything we said, and that he wasn’t coming home. He went to live with his mother, where things got worse by the day. He stole everything out of her home and sold it. He invited gang-bangers and drug dealers to her home, and she feared for her safety constantly. She called the cops numerous times because she feared for her safety, but again, the boy said that she abused him, and the cops always took his side. (For reference, the mother is about 5’3” and barely clocks in at 115.) He planted a loaded gun in her room, called the cops and told them that it belonged to the mother’s boyfriend. The boyfriend actually ended up serving time because of this fucking bastard kid. She had two other young children in the house, and the gun and the abuse charges were an intentional plot to get the other two kids taken away from her. She tried restraining orders against the kid, but since he was a minor, they wouldn’t allow it. Every time he got picked up, she pleaded with the cops to take him to jail, maybe that would finally get though to him, but they just kept bringing him home to her. I don’t understand why everyone who was involved with this kid just blindly took this juvenile delinquent’s word over all else!
The night that he and his friends murdered that poor homeless man, the mother said that he was acting particularly cocky. Then he threatened to kill her. We had absolutely no idea of what he had done until they found the man’s body. He was immediately waived into adult court (at 15) and sentenced to 15 years. We were all absolutely sick with grief for this man.
We were also sick with guilt… “What could we have done differently?” was a constant question in all of our heads. After the kid was sentenced, all the cops, counselors, social workers, and people at the school that had been dealing with him contacted us and his mother and apologized for not taking us seriously. They are all trained to take all accusations of child abuse seriously, and as a part of that they blindly took the kid’s side for everything, and dismissed us as “the lying abusers”. Many of them told us that they wished they would have taken our pleas for help seriously. Everyone thought we were exaggerating about how fucked up this kid was.
I completely agree with your statement of “These kids were twelve kinds of nuts and that’s a fact.” But the reason I am writing this to you is that, after reading your news post yesterday, I felt that I needed to defend the boy’s parents. His mother and father and I did absolutely everything we could think of to try to keep this kid in line. Even the kinds of things that normal teenagers get in trouble for would have been a blessing compared to what we’ve been through with him.
What I gave you today is a very small sampling of the kinds of things we were dealing with every single fucking day with this kid. When people hear about what he’s done, I can always sense the “I’m sure there was something you could have done” comment coming up. What would you have done? How do you deal with a kid like this? Like I said, we did everything the counselors suggested, and nothing seemed to matter.
If you want to add another element to the “nature vs. nurture” idea, this boy has a brother. Both boys were raised in the same house, with the same values. The brother has developed into a kind, considerate, responsible, and independent young man. He is currently working his butt off right now to save up money to go to school for architecture. The only thing I regret is that we spent so much time and energy dealing with the bad kid that this boy missed out on having a normal family life with a normal sibling relationship.
I am sorry this got so long. I have been reading Penny Arcade since the very beginning, and I feel that both of you are very much like me. I think we are the same age (29) and I have been a lifelong gamer like the two of you. I can’t stand hearing about the so-called correlation between games and real-life violence. Video games DID NOT make this kid who he was, and it’s unfortunate that the correlation is there.
The thing that really gets me with this whole thing is that the kid knows full well that by equating what he’s done to a video game, that he will generate controversy and media coverage. It makes me sick that the media is jumping all over this, because that is exactly the result that he wants.
The only good thing (if there is such a thing) that has come out of this whole ordeal is that the kid is behind bars. That is exactly where he needs to be.”

April 16th, 2007 at 5:51 pmLet me get this straight. A Chinese Nationalist here only 8 months on a Student visa. Calls in 3 bomb threats. Get two 9mm pistols and tons of ammo clips, and a bulletproof vest. Chains all the doors and Shoots over 60 people in under 2 hours with a kill ratio of more than 50% and may have had an accomplis. Sounds kosher to me!
April 16th, 2007 at 5:51 pmTo Those Who Will Listen:
April 16th, 2007 at 6:11 pmAs we all know this type of school shooting is disgraceful and nothing but a complete tragedy. It makes me sick that a person could be so fucking selfish as to take so many innocent lives. As for the loved ones of the victims of this crime, my prayers are with them. As for the whole story, I have three reactions to the situation.
One, anyone who argues that the campus police/Vtech administration did not handle the situation in manner that protects the students, is an asshole. No one could have know that this crazy guy wanted to kill this many people and what he was planning to do. In this situation, the cops did exactly what they are trained to do. They isolated the area and shutdown the area surrounding the crime. Like the police Chief said, it looked like a domestic dispute gone bad and according to Pat’s sources, that’s what the first situation was. I will also remind you that when the Columbine shooting went down, the police responded but failed to enter the school for almost an hour and a half while kids were being murdered in the library of their high school. Immediately after the police heard the radio calls telling them about the second shooting, they went into the engineering building. By the time they got there, the shooting had stopped and the guy had blown his head off. So I offer this; no one could have predicted that this was going to happen, I am sick of people trying to place blame. No one is to blame here, not the VTech administration or police. It’s the fucking guys fault and his selfish actions that caused this. I am sick of people trying to find a reason for this shooting, just like the whale Michael Moore with the movie Bowling for Columbine. They use tragic situations like this for their leftist BS.
As for gun control, it makes me sick to think at a time like this, major news sources could think of gun control and use this as an excuse for gun control. How could they turn this around into gun control? According to Pat they mentioned the expiration of the assault weapons ban. What the hell does this have to do with it, NO one was killed today with an assault rifle, it was handguns as initial reports say. Nor was anyone killed with any kind of assault rifle in the Columbine shooting. As a person who has owned four assault rifles (AK47, SKS, CETME, AR15) I would much rather a person have a gun that is three feet long and huge when compared to a handgun that can be smaller then a cell phone. If this guy was holding an assault rifle, people would know and have a much better chance of getting away then being surprised with a concealed handgun. By the way, in CO it is a hell of a lot easier to buy an assault rifle then it is to buy a handgun. Oh and I advise you to check out how many more people are killed with handguns every year then with assault rifles…..just a thought.
Rumsfeld47 and D_Mac: The guy was not handcuffed because he was the first “non-white guy around”. If you believe that, then you are an uneducated idiot. If you had any idea about what you were talking about, then you would realize that he was cuffed because the shooter was of an Asian background and well it could have been him. Standard operating procedure, and no it was not racial profiling. If you are going to make statements, make sure your correct, not being an idiot.
Let me know what you think, discussion is appreciated.
Fraser
Rumsfeld47 and D_Mac: you idiots got any thoughts?
April 16th, 2007 at 6:17 pmChinese student on a visa? Hmmmmmm…
You don’t suppose he got bent out of shape over some certain person’s “Ching-Chong” wisecracks on daytime TV???
April 16th, 2007 at 7:02 pmDear Fraser:
1. “One, anyone who argues that the campus police/Vtech administration did not handle the situation in manner that protects the students, is an asshole.” My question to you is, ‘How many students need to get blown away by a madman before you lock down campus, assuming you know the aforementioned madman is still on the loose?’
2. “In this situation, the cops did exactly what they are trained to do.” What, take a lunch break after a hard morning of dusting for fingerprints?
3. “It looked like a domestic dispute gone bad and according to Pat’s sources, that’s what the first situation was.” Ummm, considering that there are reports that there was one shooter, that he was somehow killed, and that there was this Asian cocksucker behind it all, it’s safe to say that the situation is murky at best. We’re all talking about the Constitutional right to blow insane Chinks with handguns away; you’re rushing to defend the only people who could have blown the mad Chink away and saved lives, who obviously did JACK SHIT.
3. “So I offer this; no one could have predicted that this was going to happen.” Yeah, those three bomb threats last week were totally unrelated. No cause for alarm, just three bomb threats in one week.
4. “It’s the fucking guys fault and his selfish actions that caused this.” Finally, a statement I can’t ridicule, but let me extend your thought–”…and that’s why every American of sound mind should be able to carry a concealed weapon so this never happens again.”
“If this guy was holding an assault rifle, people would know and have a much better chance of getting away then being surprised with a concealed handgun.”
“By the way, in CO it is a hell of a lot easier to buy an assault rifle then it is to buy a handgun.” So what is an assault rifle, exactly? I’d consider anything smaller than a M2 a sidearm.
5. “Rumsfeld47 and D_Mac: The guy was not handcuffed because he was the first “non-white guy around”. If you believe that, then you are an uneducated idiot.” ‘A sense of humor: google it!’
6. “Let me know what you think.” I think you’ve got shit for brains. The only way your logic could get so bent is from extended use of LSD. Your thoughts are worth about as much as a zit on my ass. Quit defending worthless pigs and administrators.
That’s right, I said pigs. I’ve been a victim of stalking, I’ve had my car stolen, I’ve been hit-and-run, my buddy had his car radio stolen, and NO COP DID SHIT ABOUT IT. This goes for my entire family too… NO ONE I know who has been a victim of crime has been helped by fat pigs. On the contrary, one over-eager cop cupped my balls when he frisked me, and a Missouri state trooper tried to tell my brother the bag of birdseed he had in his trunk was weed seed.
Serve and protect, my ass. And that, boys and girls, is why all those dead white slave owners put the right to defend yourself in the bill of rights.
I’ll have $3300 in my account when I graduate basic training. You can be a lifetime member for $1000; they’ll let you pay it in quarterly installments of $25!
April 16th, 2007 at 7:04 pmI am sick of seeing the police et al stand to the side and wait a situation out. I get so pissed off watching car chases on TV where they follow the suspect for a long time waiting for them to run out of gas. Yea, I know they can’t out run the helicopter or the radio but how many more people are put at risk by the suspect?
I also know I am an arm-chair quarterback in these situations. Still, I would love to see our police, military, everyone in these situations take those fuckers out. When that car runs from the police, take the car out as soon as possible. There have been incidents where the police department gets sued for damages because they are pursuing the criminal and the officer gets reprimanded and even fired. The criminal gets to go to court and most likely into rehab because they had a troubled childhood. We protect the criminal more than the people trying to stop them. Take them the fuck out as soon as possible.
Again, being the arm-chair quarter back here, when they had the first incident at the dorm they should have locked down the entire campus. They didn’t have the suspect so who knows where he went. For fuck’s sake, when someone takes a fucking water bottle past security in an airport they evacuate the entire area, halt take offs, and re-screen every passenger. Why shouldn’t they have done the same here?
By the way, there was a similar bomb threat called in today at a local university. They didn’t react that much either.
April 16th, 2007 at 7:06 pmA lifetime member of the NRA, that is
April 16th, 2007 at 7:07 pmGreg Usa ,
the same frustration exists with drug traffiking. If we wanted to stop taraffiking by air we should fire missles at suspected traffikers. for now, fighter jets can only ;’escort” suspected planes to whatever airstrip they decide to land at. I ve seen video of planes who pretend their radio is out but dont even respond to “wing tip communication” when the radio is out. Its obvious the drug runners know the system too well.
When its that obvious, they should be toast.
April 16th, 2007 at 7:11 pmThe rule against carrying weapons on campuses is more common than I think people realize. I attend a large public university in Washington (which recently had it’s own campus shooting) and it has the same inane rules about carrying guns on campus. After two tours in Iraq I think that I can handle responsibly carrying a pistol without anyone knowing. If they (the Virginia State Legislation) had passed the bill allowing students to carry on campus this rampage might have been stopped in the early stages.
I advocate that all responsible students, especially those with military training, disregard the unconstitutional “laws” passed by their states and/or campuses. I know that there are battle tested Marines like myself who would never allow this kind of shit to happen at their school.
What do you guys think?
April 16th, 2007 at 7:16 pmThere were a few that tried to stop the drug traffickers. They shot one of them in the ass, if memory serves. The people on our side went to jail. Nice job.
April 16th, 2007 at 7:17 pmOh yes.
April 16th, 2007 at 7:31 pmI have many friends at VT right now, I myself am transferring there this fall. As far as I know, they’re all unharmed. Hopefully my state legislature will reconsider/pass this law:

If some could pack heat, maybe there wouldn’t of been as many deaths. We must be able to defend ourselves, the police and military cannot be everywhere at once.
WHERE WERE THE MEN?
Here was one.
Israeli professor killed in US attack
jpost.com staff and ap, THE JERUSALEM POST
Apr. 17, 2007
As Jews worldwide honored on Monday the memory of those who were murdered in the Holocaust, a 75-year-old survivor sacrificed his life to save his students in Monday’s shooting at Virginia Tech College that left 32 dead and over two dozen wounded.
Professor Liviu Librescu, 76, threw himself in front of the shooter, who had attempted to enter his classroom. The Israeli mechanics and engineering lecturer was shot to death, “but all the students lived - because of him,” Virginia Tech student Asael Arad - also an Israeli - told Army Radio.
Several of Librescu’s other students sent e-mails to his wife, Marlena, telling of how he blocked the gunman’s way and saved their lives, said the son, Joe.
“My father blocked the doorway with his body and asked the students to flee,” Joe Librescu said in a telephone interview from his home outside of Tel Aviv. “Students started opening windows and jumping out.”
Liviu Librescu, was respected in his field, his son said.
“His work was his life in a sense,” said Joe. “That was a good place for him to practice his research.”
The couple immigrated to Israel from Romania in 1978 and then moved to Virginia in 1986 for his sabbatical, but had stayed since then, Joe told Army Radio.

April 17th, 2007 at 6:13 amG-d bless this man. To live through one hell, only to die through another so others could live.
I understand there may have been other Profs who did such things for the students.
In all the “blaming”, “Finger-pointing”, and Tuesday morning quarterbacking I’ve yet to hear anyone say, “Yeah, but the primary responsibility for this slaughter IS the shooter …”
April 17th, 2007 at 6:40 amSomebody please explain the top picture on this page to me? Who the hell is the “Asian” guy on the ground being detained and cuffed? The perp killed himself inside one of the classrooms with his victims …
April 17th, 2007 at 6:43 amGun control - an idealist principle - will never prevent this. In an ideal world it might, but the world is far from ideal.
Our argument against the left for gun control must be based in this core reality. There is no way the Nation - never mind the world - can be made to fit an ideal model. Like rumsfeld47 stated, there are deviants that do not fit the idealists model.
No organization can protect individuals in a liberal society. The killer - a single individual - beat the campus to the lockdown and did a better job at it. Apparently took him less than 2 hrs to plan & execute.
The school’s “lock down protection” policy is useless. No student is safe. No citizen is safe.
Concealed-carry is the only deterrent. Its the closest to an ideal solution in a world that is far from ideal.
My condolences to every student and parent @ VTech - also to Police and Administration - but most of all to the parents and friends of the lost or injured.
April 17th, 2007 at 6:55 amJohn,
Look what Drudge is linking to:
“Blaming Charlton Heston
With a view to Monday’s deadly shooting rampage at Virginia Tech, European newspapers are blaming the lack of gun control measures in the United States and implying that Charlton Heston is indirectly responsible for the scope of the killings.”

As an addition to this blame theme…
Look at the public trial now - that the blame goes to the school and the school president. What about the perp?
Yeah, I understand the schools actions probably has flaws, but isn’t that true for every entity responsible for others everywhere? It takes a perp to act for the harm to happen.
Scares me to think how loud we have to be here in PA on April 24th. Republican Metcalfe is leading gun rights reform against the incessant liberal democrat proponents pushing extensive gun control - again.
April 17th, 2007 at 7:19 am“Scares me to think how loud we have to be here in PA on April 24th. Republican Metcalfe is leading gun rights reform against the incessant liberal democrat proponents pushing extensive gun control - again.”
John,
I believe PA’s state lawmakers who want to protect your right to protect and defend yourselves could and should be using yesterday’s mass murders to support their side.
Also, how many here really think Hitler would have had such an easy time of it if the Europeans and especially the Jews had been allowed to own guns?
As far as I’m concerned, the Europeans have no business trying to tell us what to do. Look at the German courts: Just a week or so ago a German judge said it was okay for a Muslim man to beat his wife (who was trying desperately to divorce the bastard), and said the woman couldn’t use his beatings, that were OK via the Koran, as grounds for her divorce. And then there is the cannibal guy who met some dude on the Internet …. The “victim”, who ended up being murdered and eaten by this monster, was viewed to have been “willing”, so the cannibal guy got a much lighter sentence from the judge. Just a couple stories that pop to mind.
April 17th, 2007 at 7:35 amThe blame belongs on the head of the shooter. End of story. He planned it He implemented it. Enough said. The person shot the people the gun did not shoot its self. If the government takes away our RIGHTS to protect ourselves then they need to take away all means of hurting and killing. Knives, garden tools, baseball bats, any and all materials in the world that can harm. People Kill people.
April 17th, 2007 at 7:39 amI didn’t see any coverage until I came in from work at about 6:00 pm. As I walked up the steps to my house I decided I would make note of the time and see how long it took to see/hear some talking head mention gun control as the solution. Even I was shocked and I’m jaded as hell. It took all of 3 min 45 seconds from the time I got ass down in the Lazy Boy and turned on the idiot box, until some Ivory Tower type, on FOX no less, tossed it out there.
April 17th, 2007 at 8:26 amDrillan, that cannibal story is much more interesting than that.
1. They were German.
2. The guy sought out somebody who wanted to eat his penis on the internet; the cannibal murderer responded.
3. The videotaped statements saying that this was between two consensual adults, and that the penis needed more salt.
4. The cannibal recommends penis be sauteed and served with a fruity Penis Noir.
Bring all new meaning to the phrase “cock-gobbler,” don’t it?
The libertarian in me says these two did the world a favor by killing themselves and getting themselves behind bars. Kind of like how the libertarian in me wants coke-heads to be able to buy an 8-ball for $5 at Walgreens, and if they OD, it’s their own fault.
On a related note, thank God for waivers.
April 17th, 2007 at 8:26 amI was listening to the head of Portland State University Security this morning on the radio talk about what they would do in this case and how they are equiped.
Answer: they aren’t and they won’t. They basically have no plan. They would email people about it, pull the fire alarms, and try to remove people. CAMPUS SECURITY DOESN’T HAVE GUNS!
This reminds me of Demolition Man. Remember that flick? how in the future no one will use deadly force and all the cops are pussies, so they have to get demolition man out of carbon freeze to come back and kick ass, cause no one can deal with the bad guys. Ya thats our colleges.
What we need is a demolition man at each school. We need 1 guy at each college, SWAT trained, marksman, dragonskin armor and a H&K 416. PROBLEM SOLVED. These shooters are not green beret, they are amatuers with a high powered rifle. All it would take is ONE armed guy to finish the deal, right now there is no one to deal. Just give this guy a 24/7 pager, let him live on campus and all he does is train with local police swat and shoot his gun and stay fit. Shooter comes, this guy responds. Give him a dirt bike, he could get anywhere in campus in seconds.
Dam I am starting to like this job. Riding around on a motorcycle with a machine gun, hell maybe throw in some ninja training too…
April 17th, 2007 at 8:46 amChad, could you fix that to “on an unrelated note” for me, big guy?
You know guys, I can’t help but think this rampage was somehow caused by the war in Iraq.
April 17th, 2007 at 8:48 amJohn in PA, I wondered what your, as a resident, view of Gov Rendell (sp?)is. Heard him make some sane-sounding comments after the Amish murders. What’s the skinny on this guy?
April 17th, 2007 at 8:51 amand ya, wtf is up with this asain kid they keep showing, I think he is just an innocent passerby, I don’t think the police got the shooter alive, they just arrested this other kid on suspicion but they kep showing him.
April 17th, 2007 at 8:51 amA few q’s:
Was he part of a cell;
Did he smell of rosewater;
Did he really act alone.
His note sounded like it could have been written by bin Laden, i.e., hatred of western decadence. signed Ishmael or something like that.
April 17th, 2007 at 8:55 amWas he part of an asian muslim group?
D_Mac,
Ninjas are kick ass!
You said:
Just give this guy a bat-signal, let him live in a secret pit underneath the campus; and all he does is pushups and blog, shoot his gun and stay fit. He will eat bullets and shit like a flak cannon. Give him a dirt bike with skulls on it, he could get anywhere in campus in seconds.
You forgot to add: throw a fresh sorority girl down the pit for him twice a week! Mission accomplishment AND troop welfare, Mac!
April 17th, 2007 at 8:57 amRummy, Your posts today are a riot. I’ve been swamped here at work today and yesterday, which is usual, and can’t keep up with this most of the time. The VT tragedy is exactly that. The real crime is the MSM will give this more air time for months than they ever gave to the 9/11 tragedy and as has been stated earlier, use it to push for even more gun control. We need more liberal controls, make them get a license to even speak! If just half the people in the country had a semi-auto or revolver, crime would drop dramatically. Criminals do what they do because they have so little incentive not to. People are afraid to step in at times because they are UNARMED while the thugs have most of the firepower. Cops are required to be more restrained in their use of deadly force, more’s the pity. Here in Cleveland there have been so many shootings each time the cops shoot a punk, they are grilled, even the black officers. Why is it that a black drug dealer/thief is always innocent, but black cops are just as racist as white cops? What about the latino and asian cops? If they are the only ones that are not racist, we should insist all cops be either latino or asain. Any idiot that signs on to agree with that has never dealt with the federalis south of the border.
Rummy, your post about the kid that just wanted to cause trouble? Yeah, been there done that. That is just more proof the ACLU is in much need of being reigned in. The animal kingdom has much better control, sick and wounded animals are either killed outright, or excluded from the pack/herd/flock and left to die on their own. Rabid animals are put down by man, they cannot be cured. Rabid humans should be handled the same way.
Some sick bastards are beyond redemption/ rehabilitation. When the libs cry about rehabbing those people, we should agree, and let them move in with those libs to rehab them. Once they kill the libs, we get one problem out of the way…
The left is starting to push it just a bit too far, and the conservatives are getting real close to taking the country back. The best way to do this is hit them where they hide, their wallets. Check out who you do business with…write letters to the editors, demand fair coverage of the news. I spend more time dealing with the libs supporting the good life than I do on posting, and deal with lots of very wealthy people that have become extremely disgusted with the MSM and liberals in general. The MSM is going to wake up soon and realize they are shit out of luck…
April 17th, 2007 at 8:59 amVikingbyblood
Good Point about Ed Rendell, But … Only a partly good thing from fast eddie (PA Gov (D)). No, he does not protect gun rights openly. His motive is to defend all entities (including his own) that there is little defense against the ugly, evil and deranged.
He is genuine in his statements. However, he has never offered a way to address future….and never suggested or proposed preventative measures. BOTTOM LINE: He didn’t want to be blamed by his own constituents for not protecting the Amish. 6 dead and 4 seriously injured grade school girls threatened first with rape before execution. Killer was prevented form rape by state trooper as he encroached toward the locked down building.
Fast eddie’s statements can be used though.
April 17th, 2007 at 9:37 amThanks
lol rummy, thats what i’m talkin about man. And I nominate myself for this position BTW!
We should make a superhero who actually confronts REAL LIFE stuff. Like Muslim rapes and campus shootings. And who does it with guns. He could be NRA Man!!! It could be CHarlton Heston in disguise!
April 17th, 2007 at 9:50 amSorry for double post and related side track…
A bit of suppressed anger at MSM reared up during lunch….
With the Amish murders, Fast Eddie’s statements were made very early on - within 5 hours of the event. Right before his statement, the media frenzy was starting to turn down the path of “could the girls still be alive if the trooper didn’t approach the building?”
As I saw that line coming out of the media I started to become enraged that the leftist thinking would rather have these young girls raped to save their lives. Not that there is much of a selection of choices - its just my rage that someone would suggest that a man should stand idle while children get raped!
Eddie’s statements - coupled with facts of how the killer was intent on murder - curbed that leftist thinking line from growing into blaming the state trooper under the guise of “he should have stayed”
By luck the trooper’s livelyhood was saved. Gotta give eddie credit for that - even if it was not his intent…
April 17th, 2007 at 10:00 amArm the teachers! AT least those who are competent enough (meaning no Democrats).
Bobby, leave Doug alone. He’s a democrat. He doesn’t believe in guns.

Guys, the only reason I post the way I do (morning, noon, and late evening) is because I’m unemployed and do a bunch of work for my family during the day. I really need to go mow the lawn right now, in fact.
I’m not proud that I out-comment the rest of you combined, but I figure as long as it’s cool with PD, I should “stock up” on mental masturbation now–I won’t be getting any of it for three months!
You’ll miss me after I leave May 7. You’ll say, “Remember that shit-don’t-stink, ‘I’ve got nothing to learn from you’ poolee who named himself after the failed [not in my eyes] sec def? I wonder how much buttermilk his asshole is sucking right now.” I’ll write a buttermilk update from basic to somebody who posts a lot on this site; I’ve got his snail mail, and he’ll be able to post it for me.
Now if you’ll excuse me, my mom set aside some leftover penischnitzel for me in the fridge. It’s great when served with mashed potatoes!
April 17th, 2007 at 10:11 amRummy, you are one of the sick freaks (thank you Glenn Beck for making this term popular!) that enjoys basic! You’ll do fine, the DI’s like hard chargers. Get honor grad, the extra stripe that comes with it will make everyone jealous or hate you (dress blues just cry out for stripes, women love ‘em). But the pay makes it worthwhile!
Do you have your MOS locked or are you planning on being a mud puppy?
April 17th, 2007 at 10:28 amRumsfeld47;
April 17th, 2007 at 10:57 amI understand what you were saying about your rebuttal statements, sorry if I sounded like a raging liberal. Don’t get me wrong, my whole essay wasn’t refuting what you said, at least the majority of it anyways. The point I was making about the weapons (handguns) was only to argue with the raging fucking liberals trying to ban concealed weapons permits and assault rifles. And yes I am already a member of the NRA and have been since I was young. My car and my laptop that I use for work is covered with Bush 04, NRA, and Marine Corps stickers (my brother is a Marine).
What I am arguing is not that they should ban concealed weapons permits, fuck it I think they should give more of them out, but that ABC or whatever news organization mention the assault weapons ban, is completely irrelevant in this situation because no assault weapons were used in this situation. My arguments were simply refuting what was mentioned in Pats article about how they mentioned the assault weapons ban was up, not to refute handguns. I am not anti-handguns at all.
As for your question on the definition of an assault rifle, government laws and its definition/classification of an assault rifle is that a gun has any combination of three attributes of a list of about 8 to 10 assault rifle traits. These include a clip bigger then 5 to 10 rounds (depending on the state), flash suppressor, bayonet mount and/or built in bayonet (like the sks), collapsible stock, pistol grip, and a grenade launcher site. I believe there are more but I can’t remember them all. You could argue that size does matter but not really by the legal definition set about by both our Federal and State Govt’s, obviously it varies from state to state.
As for the statement made about the cops and Vtech administration, I am only defending them because I am sick of liberal pieces of shit trying to come up with excuses. The only reason why I was arguing for the police is because what they did is actually SOP. I am not saying that it is right at all, in fact I think it needs to be fixed, you have to admit they reacted to the second shooting a hell of a lot fast then the columbine police did. I know the situation needs to be corrected and different actions should have and should be taken. I am just trying to focus on how much of a piece of shit this fucking Chinck was and I don’t want anyone (i.e. ABC, CNN, or some fat Micheal Moore piece of shit) diverting blame from this POS. Like you said, you and I agree there. My fucking English teacher actually made me go see him speak at my school and watch Bowling for Columbine, it was the worst experience of my life. In addressing what I said about the picture of the Chinese guy being cuffed, I was not referring to your statements about the picture. I was simply trying to stop anyone from bitching about the fact that he was cuffed because yes he was racially profiled and this situation it was fucking justified because the shooter was an Asian.
So all I am saying is maybe I did read your shit too quickly but I was primarily reacting to the reaction of people trying to place blame on someone else when he was the stupid fuck who did it. So if I took the liberal piece of shit statements out of context and put them into your mouth, which I know you are not, then I was wrong. In this situation, I should have been more specific. I hope this clarifies things. Oh and thanks for your service man, I only wish that I could have served like my brother is. I tried out of high school but I was rejected by the Marines first and then the Army due to health issues. Shit if there was a draft I couldn’t even serve. Hope your service goes well man and for gods sake keep your head down!

, I think it was only some 24 hours ago you commented on a lawn that wouldn’t be growing without you. Seems you did a good job, reading you have to mowe it already.
My agenda will be overloaded in the beginning of May.
May 4th - commemorate those who died during WWII over here.
May 5th - celebrate the end of the occupation by the Nazis.
May 6th - the day a politician was shot at the Media Park in Hilversum. (He stated over and over again that the Netherlands were overcrowded by immigrants with a certain back-ground to eventualy get shot by a Green activist with Asperger-Syndrom. Which, by the way, is not caused by eating to many veggies and no meat at all. )
May 7th - Rumsfeld is leaving PD.com to go off to boot-camp.
Be careful with the leftover penisschnitzel. Heard the stuff is rather saulty so have some extra . But never, I repeat, never refuse your mum’s cooking
April 17th, 2007 at 1:41 pmIt is my understanding he did not like it here in America, but he was still a resident of South Korea. If America was so bad, why didn’t he just move back home?
April 17th, 2007 at 2:50 pmmore gun control talk on hardball, msnbc. bunch of assholes.
April 17th, 2007 at 2:59 pmBrad, I also like MREs. And even if I’m not enjoying it, I’m enjoying it, you know?
I already have my PFC because of all my kollage skool learnin–the only thing I’ll be “going for” is keeping my mouth shut and doing what I’m told. (Of course, that’s probably what they’re looking for.)
My MOS is not locked; I’m currently open contract. And if I don’t get fucking Data Systems-Combat Networks (which I’ve been assured I won’t ship without… grrr, I was told we would know something March 9th… finding it ironic that the entrance to the noblest organization on earth is filled with white lies like “sure, we’ll find the job for you,”) there is no way in hell I’m doing anything other than infantry. I didn’t join the USMC to deliver mail!!!
Fraser, don’t worry about it man. It’s all good in the hood. You called me out, and when that happens, you get both barrels. But I’m a Christian, so you’re forgiven for saying dumb shit!
Jeanet, lunch wasn’t so good but tonight, we’re having Steak au Penis; served between two fresh white buns, with a dribble of bernaise sauce on the tip, garnished with a bed of flash fried spinach and two hard boiled eggs at the base. This entree is complimented by a lovely Gewurtzweiner.
April 17th, 2007 at 3:19 pmWhy is this site coming up all black and unreadable? Nothing wrong with anything else? Anybody have an idea?
April 17th, 2007 at 3:39 pmJudith, according to PD, nappy-headed-ho-Muslim-hackers have been known to fuck up various links and videos; they kept me from posting on this website after my breakfast this morning, I know that.
Either that, or Cheney freezes the server while he deletes comments that offend him. You know he’s the real President, right?
April 17th, 2007 at 3:47 pmI’m Chinese American and I don’t care that they handcuffed that dude. (I say Chinese American b/c I can’t stand the douche bags who always wonder what country I’m from b/c I’m not white). Sure, he matches a description, so you handcuff him until you clear him. Handcuff or detain everyone regardless of race until you find out who is friendly and who is not.
As for rumsfeld47, my eyes are wide enough to beat the fuck out of you. You fuckin pogue wanna be. This is one “Chink” Marine that will put a hurting on you if you ever come to 3/5. “Data Systems otherwise infantry.” Fuck you. You couldn’t handle 0311 if you wanted to. You talk big but want the most pogue job in the Corps. Go play w/ your computers while we grunts do the fighting.
April 17th, 2007 at 4:09 pmhttp://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0407/Obama_on_Virginia_Tech_and_Violence.html Obama is an ass hole at best.
April 17th, 2007 at 5:02 pmThanks rumsfeld47.. your last post had me going.
April 17th, 2007 at 6:15 pmSD Leatherneck-You talk big but want the most pogue job in the Corps. Go play w/ your computers while we grunts do the fighting.
that one made me laugh
April 17th, 2007 at 6:36 pmRummy, some funny stuff here but please refrain from using derogatory commentary regarding a persons ethnicity. Our country has alot of chinese and other asians as citizens, and they tend to be fine upstanding citizens. though the murderer was actually Korean still the term “chink” is degrading.
As for SD leatherneck your response scares me! You sound like you are an out of control marine or a pretender who wanted to sound credible. either way, lighten up and express your criticism more constructivly. I currently live in South korea and i understand your frustration at being looked at as a foreigner in your own country. Please also understand though that asians are not immune to stereotyping or bigotry.
April 17th, 2007 at 9:13 pmSorry, SD. I don’t have a racist bone in my body, and I know the Corps will have no room for jokes in poor taste. I didn’t know a Marine’s feelings could get hurt by using a racial slur in jest, but chock that up to me being an idiot POG.
I shouldn’t have to say this, but I have plenty of Asian friends. I lived with a guy from South Korea for a year, and I respect the culture. You should hear what I say to my best friend who’s Jewish!
And as for my alleged “internet tough guy syndrome,” fine, go ahead and tell me I can’t hack it–I’m sure you can tell just by reading my bullshit how much of a non-hacker I am.
Again, I genuinely apologize for saying “chink,” not because I offended you, SD, but because it was wrong. And that’s not some half-hearted liberal I’m-sorry-you-were-offended apology, but a real manpology. I look forward to calling you a brother in about three months.
April 18th, 2007 at 5:35 amRummy, don’t worry, there are lots of Marines that enjoy a good joke. I had a roommate that was dark green, when I was dead broke and couldn’t go drinking, we’d sit around and tell jokes, he’d tell white jokes, I’d tell black jokes. We both laughed our cans off. I have friends of all ethnicities, and gay/straight. I firmly believe in to each their own. Just don’t try to force your views on me. I think someone is having fun jerking your chain, and everyone in the Corps loves giving shit to the new meat in the unit. If you don’t get any, it usually means you are not being accepted as part of the unit. Okay, enough psychoanalytical crap.
Yeah, that final day, after the final “DISMISS” order from your Senior DI is given, the whole world changes in your eyes. My parents drove out in 84 to see me gradutte from basic, they still talk about it. And having been in the Corps still impresses the ladies, it never wears off!
April 18th, 2007 at 12:42 pmI also enjoy a good number of Meals Rejected by Ethiopians, the newer ones are a hell of a lot better than the ones 20 years ago. Back then we found a half starved dog, we’d try a little of weverything on it, what it wouldn’t eat, we never did after either… I ate a lot of the stuff confiscated from the pork chop privates during field training at night in thrid pase during fire watch. Those cakes suck now, but were delicious back then.
