He’s islam
The Tribune also said Cho had been behaving strangely lately, setting a dorm
room on fire and allegedly stalking women.
Sources told the Tribune that the words “ISMAIL AX” were also found written
in red ink on the inside of one of Cho’s arms.
The reference may be to the Biblical sacrifice of Abraham, in which God
commands the patriarch to sacrifice his own son. Abraham begins to comply,
but God intervenes at the last moment to save the boy.
In the Jewish and Christian traditions, the son is Isaac, father of the
Jewish people; in Islam, it is his older half-brother, Ismail (Ishmael in
Hebrew).
Abraham uses a knife in most versions of the story, but some accounts have
him wielding an ax.
A more obscure reference may be to a passage in the Koran referring to
Abraham’s destruction of pagan idols; in some accounts, he uses an ax to do
so.

April 17th, 2007 at 8:57 amSeems the Fascist Left’s real life version of “THX 1138″ isn’t quite working out the way they’d anticipated. Must need stronger drugs for better mind control …
April 17th, 2007 at 9:01 amSGTWLESH -
There you have it. It’s G-d’s fault for not shouting down from the Heavens to STOP!!! … Yeah, there ya go … The Islam fact will be barely mentioned and then dropped in favor of pushing the “religion is as bad as guns” spew.
April 17th, 2007 at 9:04 amUSMC doesn’t take kids who have been on anti-depressants, BTW.
Pat, I found a liturgy for the Left’s Church of Sciencologists
Not paying attention? Pop a pill.
Feeling sad? Pop a pill.
Want to have sex without chance of pregnancy? Pop a pill.
Need to lose weight? Pop a pill.
Hair falling out? Pop a pill.
Don’t want your period anymore? Pop a pill.
Got herpes? Pop a pill.
[I won’t include boner pills; they’re the highest achievement of the medical community since the discovery of the medical community! The only thing that will replace them is pills that make your boobs grow naturally. I’ve always wanted C cups, myself! ]
April 17th, 2007 at 9:08 amHE’S A MUZZIE! WHO CALLED IT? WHO THE FUCK CALLED IT?
Some people owe me $20! I’ll settle for one of your jihadi-killer shirts!
April 17th, 2007 at 9:09 amFuckin leftists and their state of denial. This is just more facts pointing to the Nanny State they want us to live in and by. Feel good goo-gooism is a joke, fact is, life is a bitch-and problems exist right next to the solution 9 out of 10 times. All truly great things are simple people.
That was an easy call rummy, I wasn’t about to take the bet but am willing to say you are owed at this point.

I blame it on Playtex, and underwires!
April 17th, 2007 at 9:38 amI want some more proof of this kid being islamic. Sounds more like just a jealous whack job. But if he is muslim I will pay up.
April 17th, 2007 at 9:48 amI’ve played FAR to many hours of Halo 2 and Gears of War on Xbox Live; you don’t see me shooting anybody, do you?
At least not yet…
April 17th, 2007 at 9:48 amD-Mac, I’m willing to trust Sergeant Welsh, seeing as how he’s a moviestar and all. I’ll bet he proof will be in the pudding, the pudding being the note he left behind. I predict it will be leaked to Drudge within 48 hours.
Psycologically speaking, however, jealous whack-jobs aren’t this premeditated. This guy was dual-wielding and obviously knew how lock students into a building and reload on the fly. Eye-witness accounts say he was cool as a cucumber during the shooting–almost entirely unemotional. The jealous whack-job wouldn’t leave a note before killing his ex and the RA, and then go on the shooting spree two-hours later. He’d leave a note, kill his ex, and kill himself; if he went on a shooting-spree, he’d probably be pretty emotional about it, given the sexual component of his violent mind.
Such cucumber-like coolness is rare, agreed? So what allowed him to keep his composure? That’s an open question, but if this guy was indeed a muslim, the police seems to trying to cover it up, and the media will be all too willing to play along.
Drudge will give us the pudding us within 48 hours.
April 17th, 2007 at 9:56 amGreetings:
Someone should start looking for the mullah or whomever that affected this boy.
I am telling you my antenna are up on this one. Dance and cheer like frat boys with Rumsfeld47 or ’stop, hey, what’s that sound, everybody look what’s going down…’
What a way to recruit in this country…find shy, lonely or disaffectred youth and you don’t even need to get them to believe in Allah…they’re point and shoot martyrs…
I am telling you, I would leave the VT kids alone and start looking at the area Mosques and ones near his home town. SOmebody turned him into a point and shoot ambulatory-IED.
I am talking Brainwashing here. I hope I am wrong…
Now, were the police hoodwinked (group think - of course it’s a murder suicide) OR did they just miss getting this kid’s handler? Was there two or three?
I am telling you, my Spidey sense is active.
Okay, he whacks his girlfriend and the RA who comes to see what’s up…but then two hours later he’s playing Arnold in that police station in the first Terminator? Spree killers don’t, from what I have heard, act this way. There should be bodies between the dorm and the engineering building…
Pat, got a camera?

April 17th, 2007 at 10:22 amCommand Private Major - active duty
The press conference by the police yesterday made me think the same thing, seemed like they were holding back, spidey sense is tingling also.
Hopefully intelligence is catching any large scale moves domestically, but this singular attack is hard to thwart.
Shame Senator Webb was not there, his aid carries arms into banned locations.
April 17th, 2007 at 10:43 amThis asshole couldn’t have been a muzzy. It’s the religion of peace remember?
April 17th, 2007 at 10:58 amTim I couldn’t help but notice that you seem to be back on Active Duty as a “Command Private Major”. Care to explain for our benefit?
April 17th, 2007 at 11:32 am“Well if we didn’t have guns in this country then these things wouldn’t happen”
Ever buy a gun out of the trunk of someone’s car? I have. Gun control only delays the inevitable. This guy wanted to shoot people he was gonna do it, if he didn’t have a gun, he coulda used a knife, or a baseball bat. There are no dangerous weapons, only dangerous people.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:34 amSgt Welsh and all the others below,
Drawing a conclusion like that is a bit premature and almost paranoid. Sorry, but opinions by an individual is not fact, it’s some dude’s opinion, regardless if the guy works for Fox News or any other company. Those are also references to the Old Testament, which applies to Jews and Christians alike. Also, being that the gunman was originally from South Korea, there is a much higher likelihood he is Baptist. Until someone shows something concrete, this doesn’t appear to be about religion, Islam, or anything other than a disturbed kid who cracked.
April 17th, 2007 at 11:45 am“he coulda used a knife, or a baseball bat.”
Somehow I can’t imagine the headlines: “33 PEOPLE BRUTALLY MURDERED BY MANIAC WIELDING A BASEBALL BAT!”
I think you’d first have to find 1 victim and 32 people stupid enough to let themselves be bludgeoned to death.

When it all comes down to it…once military, always military and, by the definition of ‘militia’ we are all militia.
My sense is that the ball is going up. My guess is that this is going to be a long, hot summer. I don’t like it, I don’t wanna…but my guess is there are going to more like the students at VT and more like the professor barring the door.
I hope I am wrong.
Lock and load troops. Keep your eyes open and your powder dry. I will be working at a summer camp in Massachussetts with field trips into Boston. I wonder how fast I can get my CCW back since I moved to Wyoming?
I take my words seriously…you entrust me with X number of kids you get X number back.

Command Private Major
(imagine a series of cellphone IEDs detonated along the San Diego Freeway during rush hour or in the Holland Tunnel…imagine…)
April 17th, 2007 at 1:30 pmSecularism….
I go a bit further. Leftist substitution of faith & reliance on god given principles:
Begins with redefining right and wrong, - i.e. anything goes…
Leads to a few individuals who choose to be different…
Leads to those who feel justified in their beleif that their different…
Leads to isolation…
Leads to anger from not being part of (Fill in whatever)…
Leads to psyciatry…
Leads to asking why are you different…
Leads to blame, and outward focused anger…
Add drugs and the anger is supressed and/or enhanced.
I could add more, but point made is… asking why in psyciatry always seems to lead to looking out rather than looking in.
BOTTOM LINE: root causes are not addressed, the symptoms are treated, and time bomb is brewing.
April 17th, 2007 at 3:02 pmOkey doke. That works.
Bombs are fun. While you can’t beat a 500 pounder, there’s something special about homemade stuff. I think it’s the love that goes into the labor. I’ve done a radio detonator but never tried the cellphone.

” Those are also references to the Old Testament, which applies to Jews and Christians alike.”
Ismail is the half brother of Isaac. The story in the bible of the abrahamic sacrifice of his son is with isaac.
Also Ishmael is the hebrew transliteration while Ismail is the arabic transliteration.
Plus the account in the bible uses a knife, whereas the koranic account uses an ax.
therefore one can safely assume the reference was to the quranic account of abrahams sacrifice of Ismail.
“Also, being that the gunman was originally from South Korea, there is a much higher likelihood he is Baptist. Until someone shows something concrete, this doesn’t appear to be about religion, Islam, or anything other than a disturbed kid who cracked”
Another article suggested that Cho’s letter wrote about how much he hated his religion, which might suggest that he did grow up as a christian or maybe a buddhist. (koreas main religions) What makes you think he is baptist in particular is beyond me since the catholic, presbyterian and non-denominational churches are most prominent.
My theory is that he was disgruntled with his own religion, coupled with the the pro-liberal(anti-christian)atmosphere on most campuses and the current goings on in Iraq and the defense of muslims as an oppressed minority on campus(one of his neighbors incidentally was a muslim), he dedided like alot of liberals and muslims that a christian nation with “rich racist white kids” was the problem of the world and the fact that “rich white girls” wont pay him any attention because he is a minority all factored in his desire to prove to the world that he wasnt taking it anymore.
I wouldnt doubt that jihadi muslims may have noted his instability and encouraged him in this type of crime.
By the way, islam does exist in South korea, though a small minority , it has managed to recruit some south koreans. One such person was an english student of mine, he was fluent in arabic and had studied in saudi arabia. while back in korea he had received an alqaeda recruiting CD from his korean friend who was still in saudi. The video showed mujahideen killing american soldiers in afghanistan, iraq, bosnia and chechnya. It consisted of all the terrorists favorite shit, ieds, drive-bys, etc. MY student was worried about his friend, and was afraid to be seen , himself, near the seoul central masjid(mosque). He showed me the CD , gave me a copy and I sent it to the CIA. American and korean authorities summarily summoned him in for questioning. so i dont doubt when any person, student or otherwise spouts of anti american sentiments that the jihadis nearby just might want to feed that persons anger, and help him channel it in this way.
April 17th, 2007 at 9:57 pmIn my very humble opinion, this guy was just kuku for coco crisps. This BS about religion is just that, just like those sick bastard in the sand box saying it is all about religion. That is just a sham, thos epeople want to kill, and they are playing up to the left and other pacifists by citing religion. That way the limp wrists can cry and say “we just need to have dialogue with them, to let them understand we can all be friends, that we are just like them, we all want to live peacefully together in harmony with Mother Earth”
God, make me vomit! All those people want to do is one of several things. 1) Control others through either fear or murder 2) Try to make everyone else’s lilves as miserable and pathetic as theirs 3)Stay alive as long as possible and get others to do the dirty work, so they can live the good life off the blood sweat and tears of those they manipulate 4) Find a way to become a martyr 5 minutes before the natural end of their lives so they get the 72 virgins, which will do them no good since the cannot get it up anyway..
This has nothing to do with religion, as there is NO religion that calls for unwarranted violence against others, especially women and children. I am not talking about those weird sects from the Caribbean or the jungles of South America. I am talking about religions that are world-wide. Christianity in it’s many forms, Buddhism, Confucism, Islam, what have you. They all trach respect for life, and in the most part only support violence and murder when protecting yourself or your family. These people are not doing that, all they want to do is keep the largest part of the people in the Middle East living at 7th century standards, while they take the money and live like potentates.
Hey, 0311 you said you would rather take a rubber band instead of a 7.62. How true, I don’t know how much one of those hurt, but I found out what a 9mm does to the left knee…THAT hurts! ever since then, when I see guys in the movies getting shot and keep on going, what a crock! maybe if no bone is hit, and there is minimal muscle damage. and those stupid shits that are trying to make this the cause of violent video games, get real! How many thousands of us paly Army as kids, plus all the other “violent” stuff we did growing up? usually those who did that worked any angst out. Pills are not the answer, ridding the world of rabid animals is.
April 18th, 2007 at 4:35 amBrad W you are dead wrong about islam teaching not to murder except in self defence. Unless self defence would include defending the religion against the WORDS of others. In the hadith, Baukari, most authentic hadith Muhammed allows followeres to kill a jewish poet (ashraf)for insulting muhammed, in tabar a woman poet it killed while breast feeding , at the behest and delight of muhammed.
Muslim respect for life only includes real muslims, Baukari also teaches that apostates are to be killed.
generalizing about all religions is what the liberals like to do, except when it comes to christianity. Islamic spirituality exists and is personal , but the ideology of islam is part and parcel of the religion an is unquestionably domineering and totalitarian in nature.
you should do some reasearch and see if im lying.
April 18th, 2007 at 6:56 pmImagine theres no liberals
April 18th, 2007 at 9:23 pmIt’s easy if you try
No Rosy o’donalds below us
Above us only sky
Imagine there’s no gun control
It’s easy if you try
Back in Grandad’s day
Kids didn’t listen to rap
They got down on their knees to pray
Imagine there’s still nutbags
It isn’t hard to do
One armed citizen at VA Tech
Could have stopped the deaths of 32
Imagine all the crazies
Thinking twice about killing you?
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And only death would had been the crazy one
Imagine gun free zones
I wonder if you can
Virginia Tech was one
And now parents grieve for daughters and sons
You shouldn’t do this.
