I just might vote for that guy…..
April 19th, 2007 at 7:21 amJohn McCain is a true American Hero for the suffering and heroism he displayed in Vietnam. An honest to God Military man.
However, today he authors non-constitutional bills like ‘McCain Feingold’ that limits speech during political campaigns.
This alone disqualifies him in my book. He has been more Democrat than Republican. His views on immigration and the border are frightening.
To his credit, he has stood fast with the president on the war on terror. If that is his only street cred, then I will demure to the Majority, but I don’t have to like it.
Study a bit more.
I don’t know who I’ll vote for. It was going to be Mr. Newt, but after his ‘Health Care Hillary Fest’ and the more recent ‘I love Global Warming’ bout, I am lost in a world full of RINO’s and wimps.
Where are the real men anymore?
Ted Nugent for president!
April 19th, 2007 at 7:36 amoh yea, I hate his domestic policy, but he his the only vocal hawk at this time. As for newt, what the fuck?
April 19th, 2007 at 7:42 amWill he fly below radar of MSM?
April 19th, 2007 at 7:48 amHey guys-
I received this e-mail at work today with the subject heading “CRITICAL THINKING” Now I know these are three loaded questions and I would like to come up with a witty answer for this email, but I dont have the time becuase I have work to do. I was hoping that you all could lend me some help as to how to answer this. Here it is:
It is time to elect a new world leader, and your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three leading candidates:
Candidate A: Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists. He’s had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.
Candidate B: He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whisky every evening.
Candidate C: He is a decorated war hero. He’s a vegetarian, doesn’t smoke, drinks an occasional beer and hasn’t had any extramarital affairs.
Which of these candidates would be your choice?
Thanks

Newt because his conservative brain was molded by Ronald Reagan. Because he led the massive Conservative victory with the ‘Contract with America’. Because he has amazing ideas regarding the Chicom’s, Russia, India and Europe. Watch his speeches on his web site. It will blow your mind with regards to what we face worldwide in the next 20 years.
Unfortunately he freaks me out once in a while by going to the dark side for strategic reasons that I can not fathom.
He was my one and only ‘true’ conservative hope.
April 19th, 2007 at 8:00 amCandidate ‘A’ seems like Ronald Reagan. That would be my choice. (Tongue firmly planted in cheek)
April 19th, 2007 at 8:01 amDuncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, or John McCain are the only real choices I see, that will protect America.
April 19th, 2007 at 8:05 amCandidate C is Adolph Hitler, I think.
April 19th, 2007 at 8:07 ambet A is churchill
April 19th, 2007 at 8:08 amWho is B? And didn’t Hitler have an affair with Eva Braun?
April 19th, 2007 at 8:11 amFred!
April 19th, 2007 at 8:17 amHitler never married; Eva was more of a “girlfriend”.
April 19th, 2007 at 8:20 amIt’s a three way tie.
April 19th, 2007 at 8:22 amThe second video above shows “loading…” but won’t play. On the You Tube site I get the following.
“This is a private video. If you have been sent this video, please make sure you accept the sender’s friend request.”
Any ideas?
April 19th, 2007 at 8:46 amI don’t know how to fix the video problem, but this video has been floating around for a long time. It shows this dude trying to shoot a rifle in a rifle range. The recoil is vicious and the guy falls down or drops the weapon every time he fires. Great stuff.
Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo… In the hunt, in the running, but name recognition will hinder their National impact. Newt has name recognition, no matter if it is good or bad. Everyone has heard of him. He has a leg up over the others, hence my interest(besides his enormous brain).
I love Duncan Hunter. I just think this is his first time out on the balcony and will only be a major player 4 or 8 years after this next election.
April 19th, 2007 at 8:54 amWe’re fixin the video thing now. They were being uploaded as “private” which was causing the problem. Will be up soon.
April 19th, 2007 at 9:59 amThe second video is funny, but it is a small portion of a larger file showing many different people shooting the rifle with similar results.
That particular rifle shoots a cartridge called the .577 Tyrannosaur.
Not to rain on the party, but the full length video has plenty more to laugh at
April 19th, 2007 at 10:16 amI forgot who A and B were but they were way better men than C as that’s definitely Hitler.
April 19th, 2007 at 10:23 amalmost anyone as long as they don’t have a D after their name. Does anyone want to imagine a D house, senate and W.H.?
April 19th, 2007 at 10:28 amIt knocked the shit down his leg!!
Actually, I think that Churchill is ‘B’; he held office in the Exchecquer and Navy prior to becoming PM, and I recall he was a night owl. Eisenhower used to get called out to his house at the oddest hours of the night.
April 19th, 2007 at 12:20 pmNo way the MSM doesn’t crucify McCain for this…have to wait and see.
April 19th, 2007 at 1:16 pmc must be hitler, I think he married eva what’s her face before he put a bullet in her and his head. Thus he never cheated.
April 19th, 2007 at 1:47 pmPat,
I would have emailed this to you but figured you’d see it quicker here.
One of the very few political cartoonists I follow is Chip Bok. He has a priceless one you should check out and see if you can post on the site:

April 19th, 2007 at 3:28 pmOh, by the way, I was living in downtown Cleveland, Oh. going to school and doing an internship at a BIG rock radio station in 1980 during the Iran hostage crisis. All the radio stations were playing the version of “Bomb Iran” (to the Beach Boy’s tune Barbara Ann) and we used to drive all over downtown during lunch breaks with the windows down, radio blaring the song, and singing at the tops of our lungs. At that time the building I lived in was one of the oldest in Cleveland and housed a technical school on the first two floors, and apartments on the next six floors above (some residents had been there for years ~ as did the damn cockroaches ~ but most residents were college and tech school kids in the apartments.) My floor had SEVERAL male Iranian students sharing an apartment across the hall from my apartment. When my school chums would come to visit they would echo loudly in the long hallway as they sang “Bomb, Bomb Iran” while waiting for me to answer my door. It drove the Iranian students F-ing nuts … lots of door slamming as they went in and out of their apartment all day/night long.
April 19th, 2007 at 3:48 pmdrillanwr - So it’s YOUR fault these tech students went back home determined to work on their nukaler ‘racter. We need to let the MSM know about this so it will take some heat off of Bush.
We had something similar when I was in college. About six of them lived in a three bedroom apartment next door. When they cooked it would make our apartment reek! When we smelled it we would say, “there they go cooking their lamb heads and sheep balls again.”
April 19th, 2007 at 3:57 pm“So it’s YOUR fault these tech students went back home determined to work on their nukaler ‘racter. We need to let the MSM know about this so it will take some heat off of Bush. ”
Greg,
Ever since the current president of Iran (he whose name I refuse to speak) came into power I have often wondered what has become of those students from Cleveland and where they are. I believe they were students of the electronic and technical school on the first floors because in the deep, dead, cold of winter in Cleveland (below zero and 2-3 ft. of snow on a regular basis) they NEVER wore coats…
Yoy! They would leave their apartment door open as they milled about the hallway or jumped the elevator to visit MORE Iranians on the next floor. You couldn’t help but peer inside as you passed … bare mattresses all over the floor … dirty and smelly … and cockroaches running all over everything. I mean, the old building had a major roach problem (we joked some of the beasties had been there since prohibition ~ BTW, none of the apartments had bath tubs, only shower stalls, because it’s said during prohibition the G-men removed the tubs because people were making “bathtub gin” in them ~). I kept my apartment spotless, but they still crept about. One night I came back late from a concert (Pat Travers I think) and actually saw a couple run from under my door, across the hallway, and under the door of the Iranian apartment. My friends used to say that even roaches needed a break from the smelly cooking and filth they did over there.

I don’t get that. What does not wearing coats have to do with what they were studying?
April 19th, 2007 at 4:59 pmHence, they didn’t have to leave the building (go out doors and walk or catch the city busses)to go to class at one of the other schools or universities throughout the city. I did have to step out into the Lake Erie blizzards to walk to class or to the radio station.
I’ll bet they were a bit pissed, however, at the hog dog vending carts that came to rest in front of our building during lunch hour to sell the steaming tubes of “pig meat” to the eager students and business-types that would flow out from the buildings and crowd around.
April 19th, 2007 at 7:30 pmMcCain seems to have a massive snot capacity.
April 19th, 2007 at 7:54 pmDrillanwr,
Hey where are you now, you said you used to live in Cleveland. I moved here 10 years ago from the west side of the state, live on the west side on Cleveland, 5 minutes from downtown. We get to avoid most of the lake effect snow, but coming home Monday after Easter from visitng the family all weekend, that foot of snow had me asking myself “Self, Why did you move here again?”
Getting too old to deal with that so finally broke down and got a snowthrower. Does a great job.
Anyway, I remember the Bomb bomb Iran song, we played it a lot back then as well, maybe we should start requesting it from the DJs again… something to get the public vocally supporting the country and troops again…
April 20th, 2007 at 12:32 pmWrong Tex, Hitler married Eva in the bunker a day or so before he offed himself
April 20th, 2007 at 9:21 pmI’m with several others - McCain, despite his war veteran and POW sttus, doesn’t hold a lot for me. I like him but not enough to want him as president.
April 21st, 2007 at 8:11 amAs for the second video, its been around a while. It originally went out with the title - “Why Palestinians throw rocks”. It’s still funny.
