Sean Hannity Talks About Corporal Rock, Pat Dollard, And Harry Reid’s War On The Troops
What punishment suits a man like Harry Reid? Who’s going to take the bull by the horns and do something about him? Don Imus was fired for making some girls cry. No justice for Harry?
From Sean Hannity’s Radio Show Today:
Listen to Sean Hannity (3MB MP3)
Corporal Rock & Crew In Ramadi
Tighten you seatbelts, regular Dollardheads. The Pat Dollard Express has just gone Bullet Train …
Welcome aboard, newbies. Hope yunz brought
April 24th, 2007 at 2:20 pmNo talent Sean Hannity uses the troops as political props as much or more than the moron in charge. The 2 bit carpenter should just fucking enlist and shut the fuck up if he’s so concerned.
April 24th, 2007 at 2:22 pmLocked and loaded. I’ve sent an email to my Senator asking why a man such as hairyreid should remain in a position of responsibility after making eggregious statements, not to mention downright insulting, about our troops and their mission.
April 24th, 2007 at 2:30 pmGOP08_DOA Another sick son of a bitch. You are not worth the effort to respond to.
April 24th, 2007 at 2:31 pmDrillan,
April 24th, 2007 at 2:31 pmSee what fame gets you? Tool bag trolls like the above. I think Pat has just struck a nerve.
DOA,
Can you say all that in Hillary Black-Speak … and not blow any of the two or three brain cells trapped inside that wooden skull?
April 24th, 2007 at 2:33 pmOne Six Rocks…
Semper Fi.. Keep kick ass.
April 24th, 2007 at 2:34 pmo311inohio,
Where abouts are yunz located in our great State?
April 24th, 2007 at 2:35 pmwatch as the dems backtrack. this should be good.
April 24th, 2007 at 2:37 pm0311inohio: too late you already responded
drillanwr: no, but in Bush speak I can say:
“Mission Accomplished” or
“Bring ‘em on” or
“As Iraqis stand up, we’ll stand down.”
…but that would be a bunch BS right-wing propaganda now wouldn’t it???
April 24th, 2007 at 2:39 pmThat crew above are “sum bad mofo’s”. GETSOME!!
As for the limp wristed libs that are starting to slither out from under their rocks… welcome douche bags!
April 24th, 2007 at 2:40 pmWARREN And it should be “kickin” in my previous post
April 24th, 2007 at 2:40 pmDrillan,your throwing that”yunz” around like a PA boy.
April 24th, 2007 at 2:43 pmThanks to GOP ‘08 for proving
1. That Dollard was right when he said that Leftists are illiberal hypocrites. A central plank of liberalism is being populist, “of the people”, “standing up for the little guy, especially the worker”. But GOP says that Sean Hannity does not deserve a voice because he was only a carpenter. Anti-blue collar snobbery, anti-working man attitude to the max.
2. He also proved the point of this post. He too calls for defeat, ie American troop deaths, just to support his domestic political agenda.
3. I use “his” lightly. Given that liberalism reflects every element of the feminine instinct, serious clinical questions are raised about any male who is so attracted to liberalism, let alone one who so strongly embraces it.
Come on out GOP. We can handle your home made gay porn videos.
April 24th, 2007 at 2:48 pmgmoney,
Right on the state line here in NE Ohio. Only picked up “yunz” after following the Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh FM rock radio a decade ago.
DOA,
Huffy Puffy Post must stroke you long time, huh?
April 24th, 2007 at 2:49 pmI second that welcome G. They’re big and friggin bad….no really, DOA you rock. Give hairyreid my disregards…thanks and
April 24th, 2007 at 2:50 pmYou Stay Classy, DOA!
0311inohio,
Fuckin’ A! Youngstown, bud! Actually, the “burbs” Austintown.
April 24th, 2007 at 2:52 pmDrillan, just north of Pittsburgh here brother.Pissed about the Pens going out like that.
DOA,you must of been studying your talking points well or your reading your cliff notes.Time to do some thinking on your own.
April 24th, 2007 at 2:55 pmgmoney,
“Sister”
I didn’t follow closely this season. Too bad . I hope they pick up some strength in the off season.
April 24th, 2007 at 2:59 pmWhat was the penalty again for treason in a time of war?
April 24th, 2007 at 3:03 pmgmoney,
“Mission Accomplished” or
“Bring ‘em on” or
“As Iraqis stand up, we’ll stand down.”
Them ain’t lefty talking points little man. How about you be a big brave Pen fan and tell me why training Iraqi troops is no longer a cornerstone of your boy Bush’s policy. Eh big guy?
April 24th, 2007 at 3:10 pm“What was the penalty again for treason in a time of war?”
Being locked in a 5×5 room with Rosie O. after a month of her following Sheryl Crow’s “one square” rule???
April 24th, 2007 at 3:12 pmHey Liberal=Feminin,
1. I said Hannity is a 2-bit whiney carpenter who found fame on the FOX Noise network who would rather drone incessantly in his nasally girly voice than actually enlist.
2. I said without a cogent plan for regional diplomacy, this war *is* lost. A CINC who just throws more disposable troops at the problem while refusing to engage the surrounding powers in diplomatic talks is just an dumb ass. I never said I wanted defeat + more dead troops asshat. Get your facts straight.
3. Given that your such a macho man, why the interest in gay porn???
April 24th, 2007 at 3:12 pmDOA -
Either your brain is DOA, or you’re a bad liar. Training the Iraqis has never stopped being a cornerstone of our Iraq policy. You certainly wouldn’t know for sure, because fags like you don’t serve in the military. You’ll say it’s because you’re basically too smart to be a gladiator for the man, but a coward by any other name is still a coward. This is why you hate conservatives and your daddy, because ultimately both reject your cowardice. So you hide your cowardice with a pose of enlightened intellectualism.
As for your lie that we no longer train Iraqis, it’s what you lefties do. Lie when the facts don’t support you. At least the fags support you, you’ll always have them.
Rejects are rejects. Go back to the island of misfit toys where you and all the other freaks who populate your cult came from.
April 24th, 2007 at 3:18 pmIt’s a fucking travesty of our system of democracy that these elected “lobbyists” can effectively halt all progress on something so time-sensitive as a war, and are allowed to pimp their personal/party views of “What’s Right” for America, instead of actually doing their goddamn jobs as legislators.
While I’m all for allowing all members of congress and the senate to voice their perceptions in earnest,(however irrational they may be), and to pursue what they perceive to be what’s best for their party, I’m having a God-awful hard time accepting their blatant derilection of their sworn duty.
For these people to grandstand about the war, war spending, and scheduled meetings with our commanders-in-the-field, while soldier’s lives lie in a difficult balance is irresponsible, if not criminal!
My opinion of their conduct, at the least of its seriousness, is that they are incompetent and should be asked to resign on those grounds. (mucho follow-up therapy)
At the worst, their conduct is treasonous, and they should be forcibly removed from office, and tried in a court of law as traitors.
In the meantime, it looks like I won’t be making any trips to Las Vegas, anytime soon.
April 24th, 2007 at 3:20 pmHey, DOA:
1. Fuck you.
2. I joined the Marine Corps in March; I ship off in May.
3. Enjoy your Starbucks, sitting on your fat ass, smoking blunts, watching MTV, playing your little MTV games, rubbing yourself in peanut butter and telling yourself how clever you are. I’ll be a Marine in about four months.
4. People like you don’t deserve to be protected; we do it because we feel sorry for your nasty civilian ass.
5. Try not to choke on dick.
No thank you,
Donald Rumsfeld, sec-def (retired)
April 24th, 2007 at 3:22 pmLiberal=Feminine, yeah and tell him not to forget to take hairyreid with him, he’s go’in down.
April 24th, 2007 at 3:23 pmrummy,
Where the fuck you been??!!!
April 24th, 2007 at 3:25 pmDOA,”little man”? Where in the hell did that come from?
Who in the hell said we weren’t training the Iraqis anymore.Oh yeh, Al Franken told you last night on “Air head America”.I’m sure some Crack head AP reporter heard one disgruntled Iraqi and he spiced the story up,like your ilk do on a regular basis. If you find any info on that please be sure to post it.
April 24th, 2007 at 3:26 pmI’ve been staining my parent’s deck. And since Drudge totally fist-fucked Pat’s website, it’s been down when I’ve been at the computer. (Sometimes.)
I hope the comments settle down–hard to talk in here with all the noise.
April 24th, 2007 at 3:30 pmDOA,I’m starting to suspect some hidden feeling from you.You keep bringing up “gay porn”,”big guy”,”little man”.Those repressed feeling are going to give you a heart attack.
April 24th, 2007 at 3:32 pmI contributed my $25 today; I’m looking forward to wearing the shirt.
Hopefully Pat is raking in some donations due to all this traffic; once you’re on Drudge, every media person in the country knows about you. No doubt that little email to Senator Deuchebag was a shot heard ’round the world!
It was the start of a revolution (which will be televised in HD!)
April 24th, 2007 at 3:33 pmrummy,
You’re a good son. Hey, I’ve been tangling with the site for the last 48+ hours too. But it’s worth it to get the word out.
gmoney,
LMFAO!!!!
April 24th, 2007 at 3:34 pmI gotta go, drillan. PT time.
I got my new running shoes today, and Joe’s New Balance Outlet is OUTSTANDING. Can’t believe I got brand new, excellent running shoes for $50.

April 24th, 2007 at 3:38 pmHarry Reid really doesn’t have a clue !……All about his own agenda. We support you and ………….hey Tyler just keep doing what you do best
va family
April 24th, 2007 at 3:54 pmChickenhawk Sean Hannity supports the war as long as it’s POOR saps doing the fighting and dieing.
April 24th, 2007 at 4:09 pmFunny there is alot more people here now that this site keeps getting mentioned all over the place.
April 24th, 2007 at 4:31 pmGOP08_DOA:
1. Hannity is too old to enlist. Mute point, but it doesn’t help to challenge someone to do the impossible, and then hold it against them. Just a note.
2. Given the greater history of US involvement in various insurgency type wars, all is NOT lost. We (Rumsfeld/Bremer) made some serious assumptions that equaled a dismal state of “phase 4” operations. The CINC, for years now called the Combatant Commander, in this case, of Central Command has made training the Iraqi Security Forces the top mission priority for over three years. I pulled two combat tours as an infantry officer and the mission each time was to prepare the ISF for security operations. That info is even on CNN. Catch up.
3. If you track your history, and current affairs, you may note that we have on several occasions engaged the surrounding nations. Each time to no avail. You could blame our security policies if you want, but if you have ever dealt with an Arab, let alone understand their culture and history, than you would know that “talk” means nothing to them. Especially from any non-muslim nation. You would disregard this only if you are in the same camp as Nanci Pelosi and think that a Christian, white-woman from the west (all things despised by arab/muslim men) could go to Syria and fix everything by asking nicely. Good luck.
4. I am not a staunch republican, but I would rather kill myself than be a democrat. I am a registered independent who has a lot more at stake in this war than how it is effecting my sensitivities. History will show you that the surge and our current “small wars” tactics and state rebuilding have been, and still are, proving to be effective. Our biggest lack of resources is State Department representatives to organize and lead reconstruction teams in Iraq. If you would be so kind as to sign up, not to fight, but to lend a hand in this epic undertaking, it would be greatly appreciated - if you can.
The winner is decided when the game is over, but if you forfeit, you loose. It is a no-brainer.
April 24th, 2007 at 4:45 pmDOA doesn’t have the brain cells to blow, so he/she blows Reid and Sharpton, probably Slick Willie as well. Sounds like the typical spoiled liberal facist pussy brat. All talk/taunt, when a real man knocks the pussy down, he/she has daddy’s lwyer sue them for hurting him/her.
Gmoney, Rummy, Drillan and the rest, I apologize about the he/she stuff, but what else do you call a hermaphrodite with out any balls???
Yeah, the site has had a lot of traffic the past 48+/-.
Pat if you are out there reading this, I would like a physical address to send a donation, really dislike using PayPal. I need to get my shirt to waer while Rummy gets his ass handed to him on a platter for 4 months. Sick bastard I am, I miss going through that shit!
Rummy, any more from your date the other night?? Gotta tell ya, when a young hottie found out that I got a lead entree during OIF, she showed her patriotism as well!
Drillan, so you are over in Y’town huh? We got the Warren resident chiming is as well, maybe you, this here Cleveland rez and some of the other NE buckeyes could work on staging a rally to support the troops. Did you hear about the 12 day rally a couple months ago in downtown Cleveland against the war? The fucking bastards let them et up shop at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument by the square. Anyway, the rally was suported by some 17 different groups against the war, except for the last day, there were probably never more than 10 people there. The final day their “big” rally had about 70 people including school kids and the media… I think that showed them there was little support for them and more for the troops and Bush! A coworker got to the point of not riding the rapid with me because I enjoyed trading words with those traitorous pricks every night after work. It just sort of made my day fitting to put those backstabbers in their place.
Semper Fi all…
April 24th, 2007 at 4:57 pmmullah cimoc say hannity him part of mighty wurlitzer (google: mighty wurlitzer +cia).
this why usa media not free, just so control by masters in tel aviv.
ameriki patriot must resist israel foreign country controlling all amerika.
April 24th, 2007 at 5:07 pmHey drillanwr!,
Hows the Austintown “village idiot” Ron Verb doin? I am a YSU grad,Sharpsville PA native….Go ‘Guins!
April 24th, 2007 at 5:17 pmOh Please, who the hell let mullah back? add that kook to DOA and Ron, and we’ll have the twins of Pelosi, Hillary, and Reid. The only bright side is they probably have even smaller balls, and don’t need to have their backs shaven to get banged by their “enlightened” male associates…
April 24th, 2007 at 5:17 pmPat,
Thank you for your work here on this site. Your selflessness in practice is a goal to strive toward.
Also, Hannity, O’Reily, Limbaugh, & Levin are just a few of the most balanced sane, and honest individuals in media today.
That ought to piss the libs off!
Had a really good moment just about an hour ago…
Oreily’s investigative crew put MSM Bill Moyer on challenge to explain himslef. True to all libs he denied what he said - on tape. Dumb ass!!
Anyway, I still don’t get how libs - like some visiting today - can tell blatant lies with evidence right back at them and they don’t even flinch. YET They proceed however to smear others for inconsistencies and make unfounded claims about conspiracies & etc.
Gotta say that it is really great to skim the posts above and get a good chuckle out of the lib crapola.
April 24th, 2007 at 5:41 pmPer Chad, Mullah Cimoc appears to be a frustrated Salt Lake City comic. I guess he needs to either keep his day job or find one. He could easily replace Keith Olbermann.
http://gopandthecity.blogspot.com/2007/01/mullah-cimoc-is-douchebag.html
April 24th, 2007 at 5:58 pmIlliterate mullah and the other liberal vilage idiots,
newsflash: real success in anygiven situation means you learn from your mistakes, work with them, revise your plan and keep moving ahead. Bush and sean hannity are all for that. Sean was just a carpenter and look at what he achieved by not giving into self defeatism, look at limbaugh as well. If you have confidence, and we do have confidence in our military to adapt and ajust to a changing scenario, then we will succede with perseverence.
Unfortunatley we have many yellow bellied citizens with loser menatlities( otherwise known as “dim”ocrats) who cant stop crying for the Little guy, while little guys /gals and big guys/gals are fighting to keep america strong.
Take your loser comments to the traitors , harry reid and nancy pelosi, they are a willing audience.
Misery loves company but so do the optimistic so stay the fuck away from this site miserable parasites.
April 24th, 2007 at 6:25 pmThe IG:
Were you involved with or are you civil affairs sir? You seem to have a great grasp on what is really going on over there?
To anybody who glanced past his post and are for some reason reading mine scroll back up.
Im just a lowly Corporal in the reserves with two tours under my belt, but he has given the most basic synopsis of current operations and their geopolitical and cultural ramifications.
To anybody who really wants to know about Iraq, the first thing you need to understand is that not much you know about america and how we do things can or will apply to them. Please do not read into that statement that I think democracy will not be successful there. Im just saying before you understand anything about a country you must understand its culture and history.
(sorry about this long post) one thing else everybody arguing about this war needs to consider as well is the fact, people are people.
They just want to be left alone to do their thing. Generally, if Iraqis do not support the insurgency then logically they support the US in spirit because they know in their current environment where only one of the two sides is going to come out on top, we are the only ones who are going to make them powerful enough and enable them to do their own thing.
They know their neighbors who are ran by fundamentalist dictators or terrorist states are shitty places to live where there freedoms will be revoked.
They know this because they now have freedom of education and access to the internet, which they did not have under saddam
In that same regard, it is logical to assume an educated people will seek to maintain their intellectual freedom. ANd whether an Iraqi can do math or read or not is irrelovant to a this circumstance. As long as he still has eyes that havent been blown out by a dastardly suicide bomber, he can watch the fact that we have been in Iraq for four years now, fighting for their asses.
And whether they just simply want to be alone or not, they respect that. I defy an liberal or anti war person to prove to me they dont care about their liveleyhoods.
And if the liberals do believe they dont care about their livelyhood then why arent they there to provide order for them, watch their trans fat intakes, suppress the free speech of any offensive religous leaders, and stop them from smoking? I guess your not a true liberal then.
Oh shit that was long. Sorry to anybody who just read this and now thinks Im a moron. I wont apologize for free speech though. This is what makes america great.
April 24th, 2007 at 6:54 pm“Gmoney, Rummy, Drillan and the rest, I apologize about the he/she stuff, but what else do you call a hermaphrodite with out any balls???”
Brad,
No prob. Probably more of an “it” …
I lived in the city of Cleveland for nearly a year in 1980. (Was interesting living downtown) BTW, the “anniversary” of the Kent State shootings is coming up in a couple weeks. My middle daughter is double majoring in Chemistry and Biology, minor in math and Latin, there in pre med. The anti war boobs have been pretty quiet. You hear anything about what might be planned for Kent that weekend?
TomYaz,
I don’t listen to Verb, if I can help it. He swings back and forth in his opinions like a men’s bathroom door. Thankfully Hannity’s on the AM Akron station at the same time. And the morning boob, Mangino (sic) is worse than scrambled eggs for brains. I listen to Quinn and Rose from over in Pittsburgh. (Wish they’d try to get Pat on one morning “For the FULL hour”)
Pat,
There’s a damn Mullah here??! What the fuck??!! Is this another “one of Islams most holy places” now? I ain’t wearin’ no damn burka …
April 24th, 2007 at 7:11 pmDbo,
Ya did good. I agree about Iraq’s “democracy” won’t fully resemble ours, due primarily to the basic cultural differences. And I doubt if those of us who fully support this war want to rob those people of their culture and history. We just want to see them be able to join the 21st Century and value life more than their radical counterparts do. I, for one, realize the oppression they’ve been under for a long time. It takes more than 3-4 yrs. to grow strength and bravery … but I believe the Iraqi people, in general including all “sects”, really want the dirty bastards out so they can just live and grow. And we’ve heard many times over that they don’t want us to leave too soon. I can’t blame them. I also think you’ll find a large majority of people in Iran are just as sick of the theocracies they’ve had to live under
April 24th, 2007 at 7:20 pmDbo-
Your post said something so it’s cool with me, I have found some great opinions and views on this site.
As to being a lowly Corporal? F*ck that, I sit in my home, with my family safe, fed and free to achieve thanks to your service.
So here’s to you!
God Bless
&
Drive On,
Steves
April 24th, 2007 at 7:25 pmDbo and Drillan: You have to remember what happened to them at the end of the first Gulf War, too. Most likely the Iraquis who want a democractic change are hanging back, trying to make sure we aren’t going to bug out again and leave them to the wolves. What Reid and Co. has done has put them even more on guard and less likely to stick their necks too far out. I can’t imagine what would happen to any of these poor folks if a democrat wins the Whitehouse and our troops leave. We WOULD have to go back, and the Iraquis would be even MORE reluctant to step up than they are now. How much time, blood, and treasure would it take then? The liberals don’t seem to consider that.
April 24th, 2007 at 7:26 pmThe only bad thing about the publicity caused by the email is the trolls it brought to the site.
It’s an easy sacrifice to make for the cause though, just ignore these juicyasswhispers and they will go away, all they want is some attention.
Hey Rummy, it’s too late for DOA, he was given the nose pinch.
April 24th, 2007 at 7:39 pmDon’t know about you guys, but reading Cimoc’s posts gives me a headache. And the shits. And my balls hurt.
No more details on the date, guys. I would dish, but too many women read this site, and they wouldn’t respect me if I told everyone I peed in her butt.
April 24th, 2007 at 7:40 pmYo Pat-thanks for the mullah info.
April 24th, 2007 at 7:41 pmLOL Rummy

make sure you serve it cold
April 24th, 2007 at 8:05 pmYou son of a bitch…
I was talking to my recruiter about my fancy menu (pecan-crusted salmon, spinach salad, ginger-ale glazed carrots, garlic rice pilaf) and he said:
“I don’t know about all that fancy stuff. You only need one thing.”
“What’s that, sir?”
“Roofies.”
For the record, that Pinot Noir cost me $7 at Trader Joe’s. Definitely the best wine under $10 EVER.
April 24th, 2007 at 8:09 pmRumsfeld, there are not enough people like you in the world.
I’ll stop laughing next week.
April 24th, 2007 at 8:45 pmThe firestorm that Reid’s statement following the Pelosi Mid East trip all about the time that they tried some shit with the funding is great.
Looks like if we can keep the puke on their faces the Libs are going to lose big time in 08.
If anyone followed what happened in Connecticut in the Lieberman re-election, then it would absolutely out of ignorance or lying that the GOP lost seats in 07 because of Iraq.
Keep up the good work Pat I only met you a couple of times in Baton Rouge with Giles, Terry, et al, usual at Mike Anderson’s
April 24th, 2007 at 9:39 pmI’m popping my posting cherry here, I’ve been reading/watching for a while. Two tours in Iraq, I was in Ramadi with 3/7 from Sep 05-April 06 on the last one. rumsfeld, it sounds like you’ll do just fine at boot. just wanted to tell Pat D. that the videos are great and the site is awesome, an actual place where real news stories are posted.
April 24th, 2007 at 10:24 pmDbo, as said earlier, you did a good job, the post was NOT too long, you got your points out there. One point from this side, as a former one, there is no such thing as a lowly Cpl. It is the first NCO position, and helps you train to be a leader.
Drillan, I have not heard anything about Kent. I got a buddy from the area, I’ll ask him.
Rummy, you are a riot, we will all miss your posts while you are training. Make sure you keep the posts going for the next two weeks.
Pat, thanks for the input on Mullah, it ’splains a lot, Lucy
April 25th, 2007 at 4:16 amHarry Reid,the “Village Idiot”
April 25th, 2007 at 4:37 amAhem, I believe we’re all calling Harry Reid “Senator Douchebag,” in honor of Cpl. Rock.
April 25th, 2007 at 4:55 amThis double standard has got to be pounded into the ground to point of oblivion.
We can’t stop now, the battle at home has been clearly defined.
Elected leaders emboldening the enemy forces the need for obvious action on the part of good citizens. This shit is no longer under the radar, it’s become obvious that the defeatist leftists haven’t got the guts to engage the truth. And the fact that the democrat leaders in congress haven’t made the time or effort to meet with the man himself (Petraues) is something that can’t go unpunished. The lack of accountability for their defeatist strategy is unbelievable. These fuckers don’t believe their own tactics and they claim to be Americans.
April 25th, 2007 at 5:48 amGreetings:
Liberal=Feminine writes-
Given that liberalism reflects every element of the feminine instinct
If I remember correctly, Uzi’s were designed for women, specifically female Israeli troops. I was told this by an IDF troop who was talking to my grandfather.
Now, maybe it’s an urban legend and all you ‘gun nuts’ are gonna set me straight but I also know that when Viking dad was away it was Viking mom who taught little Johnny how to swing an axe.
Female does not = liberal to me. Put a mom betwixt danger and her kids and I, too, would hit the deck so I didn’t become collateral damage.
Females can bear arms just as men can. No, I don’t think liberal = female I think liberal = wishful thinking. Liberals have a skewed view of what a human is and is not and they, like most persons who have reasoned themselves into an unreasonable position are going to defend their ignorance to the death.
Personally, I think women can be just as WHO-RAH as males and a fifty cal don’t care about the x/y chromosome ratio of the finger pulling the trigger or the target down range.
Liberals don’t know and don’t want to know about human nature. Don’t confuse them with the facts.

April 25th, 2007 at 6:47 am@DOA
“How about you be a big brave Pen fan and tell me why training Iraqi troops is no longer a cornerstone of your boy Bush’s policy..”
Jumping on the Youssef story now? If ever there was an arguement based on a false dilemma… Just because we’ve amped up the security side does not mean we’re not continuing the training, DOA. In fact, training of the Iraqis, goes on pretty much as scheduled, minus delays caused by the Dems funding delays. The two are not mutually exclusive. To win AND withdraw, you’re going to have to FIGHT AND TRAIN.
Yer gonna have to come up with a better argument then that…
April 25th, 2007 at 7:11 amDOn’t hold your breath, @
April 25th, 2007 at 8:29 am…nope. Might pass out given how long it will take to come up with a decent argument.
For the rest of the dim o’crats who want to suddenly beat the “we’re no longer training the Iraqis” drum, keep this in mind:
Ops in Iraq were planned along multiple lines of operation and those lines of operation continue. They are:
Combat Operations
Train & Employ Security Forces
Essential Services
Promote Governance
Economic Pluralism
Now some of the specifics may have changed, but the basic premise has not. We have to establish security (the first two) and get the country back on its feet, both physically (essential services) and constitutionally (governance and economy). All of those things are going on and have been almost since the beginning. The mix of efforts (i.e. how much emphasis is placed on one versus the others) has changed according to the situation on the ground, and varies regionally as well. For instance, we’re not busting our asses up north with governance (compared to say, Baghdad) because the locals have that pretty well in hand. More importantly, the efforts are not mutually exclusive. In fact, the one that has fluctuated the most is probably combat ops. We’ve scaled back on numerous occasions to give the Iraqis a chance to take the lead. Sometimes, we’ve been successful, sometimes we’ve not. But training efforts have only increased over all of this time - we have never backed off on training, nor will we as long as the requirement exists, because as mentioned before, to win we have to both fight AND train.
By fighting we try to kill the jihadists/extremists and tamp down sectarianism, and create breathing room for the fledgling government. So combat operations help us in training Iraqis to fight, and in establishing better services and governance by protecting government and infrastructure.
It is all tied together. The idea that you can pull troops, or restrict the mission to training only is ludicrous. We have multiple lines of operation, because we need progress on all five fronts to be successful - and it takes the cooperative effort of all five lines, meaning that while troops may not improve the economy directly, they help contribute to the conditions that will help the economy recover.
There is no time to waste with ad hominem or ad numeram / populum arguments. The president isn’t wrong just because you think he is stupid, nor is he wrong just because a simple majority in the congress or even across the population think he is.
It is time that we either stand with those tasked to achieve success in Iraq, or come up with an alternative method for success [not a plan for defeat].

P.S. Yeah, Marines like the Navy because all those pretty boats take ‘em where they wanna go but the Army loves the Marines ’cause how can you open a PX when there’s still enemy fire? Marines are good for clearing a site for the PX.

ignorant sob. you parrot that crap you hear on cnn like its some genius master plan. ” regional diplomacy”?What kind of shit is that? meaningless, hollow, political rhetoric. Foreign policy involves implementing “policy”. ours does not include kissing up to those who want to wipe our allies off the face of the earth. It does now include trying to stabilize a country that was, once upon a time a thriving, modern, industrialized nation. thank god for the marines and the soldiers in combat arms who risk their very lives for something they believe in . What do the rest of us believe in? I sometimes think even after 9-11 ,we feel too damn safe, and consequently cannot collectively comprehend the gravity of the danger posed by radical islam. Aside from one paratrooper I know well- who came home safe - most of the people in my idyllic little town don’t know shit about sacrifice. I am humbled by the committment and courage of these young warriors.
April 25th, 2007 at 5:55 pmGOP08_DOA how about we just give them a basketball signed by MJ like Clinton gave North Korea? That sounds like a great plan right? All heil Clinton! Saviour of the US Economy and the man who passes blame of not taking out Bin Laden! I can hear the peace march in the streets already… “More basketballs!” the signs will say
Ohh and GOP08_DOA, if you want peace, prepare for war. Just a piece of advice from someone who enlisted…ohh why am I even talking to him, everyone scared the ‘little man’ away
