I remember how the media played it up before we went in to Iraq to liberate it from Saddam “Nutjob” Hussein. The media was predicting massive casualties and a drawn out conflict. Granted to say, when the military kicked ass and took names and got the job done so far ahead of schedule, the media never forgave them.
Think about all of the crap the media has whined about over the last 7 years and think about how they “closed the books” on their stories. What you will find is that they never finish their stories because they hate how they end.
Examples?
1)Bush stole the 2000 elections. The media wouldn’t publish the fact that numerous independent groups and agencies proved that Bush won fair and square. Instead, they just quit reporting on it.
2) Abramoff scandle. The media was quick to point out the right’s diry hands, but they are dragging their asses when it comes to pointing at Democrats. Pelosi, Reid, and especially Feinstein, are up to their eyeballs in scandal, yet the media says nothing about them.
Ya know, I could go on and on and on. I have kept a mental tally of all the crap that the media will not report on.
As far as I am concerned, Hell has a spot just for the bigwigs from ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and a few from Fox…

It’s true that the Republicans did the heavy lifting on this one, as they are entitled to do in their role as minority party. It is also true that, if all the Democrats really supported this nonsense, they would have found a way to shove this through.

Now about this funding thing- give it up. Just write the check and pout all the way to your next media event. This war actually is important for the US to win. Here’s why…a job half done is a job not done at all. Let me paint you a picture that even you should be able to understand.
Long ago before I went to medical school and joined the military, I was a firefighter in California. I was on all the biggies of the day: Crest Fire 1970, Olivenhein Fire 1970, Malibu Fire 1971, Carpenteria Fire 1971, San Bernardino Mountains 1972…you get the picture. It looks like this year is going to be a busy year for wildfires in the Golden State- not too hard to imagine since we have already seen some big ones and it isn’t even June yet.
Let’s say there is a whopper in the Malibu Hills again headed right for the Colony where all your friends in Hollywood live- you know who I mean. So, let’s say further there are firefighters from all over California and the west trying to contain and then extinguish this monster fire. It is hard, gritty work but the firefighters are making progress in establishing a firebreak between the Colony and the front of the fire. In an unfortunate turn of events- as happened last year near Banning- a couple of fire crews get killed trying to save some houses. Sad, but a part of the risk you take when you put on Yellow Nomex.
As you know firefighting in an expensive business…as well as a dangerous one. Speaker Fabian Nunez of the California Legislature knows it too, and let’s say for illustration that he is personally distressed about the human and financial cost of fighting fires…money spent on fighting fires can’t be used for running homeless shelters or soup kitchens, right?
So let’s say Speaker Nunez says, “We are not going to waste any further money on this lost cause. Wildfires are natural phenomena that have been part of the California ecosystem for as long as there has been recorded history. In fact, it is the natural order of things here and we can’t change it. Therefore, as of today, the Legislature has reallocated State money from fire suppression operations to other worthy causes. To the firefighters on the line in Malibu and elsewhere- go home, you are not needed. To the homeowners in Malibu: tough luck.”
Would this make sense, Nancy? Would this be a winning proposition from whatever aspect you want to consider it from? Political, financial, moral…whatever.
A fire half extinguished is a fire not extinguished. That fire will roar right back to life- and can be deadly: consider what happened on the Inaja Fire near Julian in 1956 where 28 CDF firefighters were killed by a fire that was supposed to be under containment.
The same is true for terrorists, Nancy: terrorists half extinguished are terrorists not extinguished. Just as a California wildfire can roar right back to life if not completely extinguished, those murderous scum in al-Qaeda will roar right back into action…and bring the fire over here. Your house and mine are in danger, just like when the winds blow from the east in California, if these thugs are given a respite; a respite offered them by your wrongheaded and moronic legislation to pull the troops out of Iraq before the job is done.
This job needs to be finished, and finished now or else all Americans will reap the east wind and the firestorm that will come with it…thanks to you. Stop your petty foolishness and give the SIERRA HOTEL troops the resources we need!

Im not advocating some socialist adgenda, but if the lowly paid were elevated to some sort of status, everyone is better off, people getting a low status service pay more, the workers get more, they spend more and become part of the American Dream of a better life for themselves and their children. Everbodywins in the long run. What cost to the taxpayer for illegals who cannot work and use crime to advance themselves, when this cost could easily be spread across the population.
Make it a point to gather EVERYBODY that each and every one of you to get as many people to register to vote and encourage them to vote with you to sweep away the b/s and get the nation to be great again.
Remember, each of your single vote means as much as that from George Soros or Al Gore, They are no better than you and by weight of numbers success will be yours.
There is NO candidate that can succeed wher dedicated people turn out to vote them into the dustbin of history, people like Harry Reid and Nancy are only there because the left has mobilised to return them. They are NEVER voted in by the majority as the majority NEVER bothers to vote. I am under the impression that all liquor outlets are closed on polling days, so what else is there to do. Get onto it.Do it and have it done.
Insurrection is ugly, whereas retribution thru the ballot box is the sweetest victory possible.
Meet with the people, persuade them that the MSM is lying, show them posts from the boots on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan about whats REALLY happening, turn around the country, make EVERYBODY responsible for voting and get the job done.
Out the irresponsible,the RHINOS and the fence sitters, show that you want responsible government, by candidates that are not looking over their shoulders to the next elecion so they can stay on the gravy train.

you are correct to point a finger at employers who create illegal magnets, but the feds are not living up to their duty. It is their duty to enforce a border, because a country without borders is not a country. The others who are posting about civil war are not insighting such a thing but are consciously aware of what will happen if the state oppresses only those who are doing things the right and legal way. You can only push people so far, before they get fed up and push back.
Also it was Steinbeck who wrote “The Grapes of Wrath”, not Hemmingway.
