Its true. The democrats, or more essentially their attitude of complacency and naivte, are what caused 9-11. the arabs who committed the acts were just pawns of the vast right-wing conspiracy.
The conservatives conspiracy plans are very organized to include all the major airlines, the military , the jews, etc , and yet the MSM gets only tidbits of info here and there to expose this conspiracy in the form of a “docudrama” by michael dipshit moore. meanwhile , the good image of arabs/muslims is tarnished again undeservedly. Islam demands submission. It is what the word means. As practiced by a sizable minority, it amounts to the most bigoted, hateful, violent and irrational “religion” on the face of the planet currently.
I think of this as a sort of Global Ku Klux Klan. We can ignore them until they grow so strong as to force us to submit or we can face the danger now. Our liberal democrat colleagues ignore the ongoing murder of gays, women, black Africans by Muslims but warn us of homophobia, sexism and racism from the middle of the US.
Allah help us. We may all want to start reading the Koran.

I believe that the minimum wage is the issue that completely and totally defines Liberalism.
In terms of economics, the minimum wage is what is known as a “price floor”. The free-market price of any commodity is determined by what people are willing to pay for the commodity (the demand) meeting the price for which people are willing to sell the commodity (the supply). Price floors (and price ceilings) cause a disparity between these two points, and when there is a disparity between these two points, adverse conditions follow.
In the case of a price floor (in this case, a minimum price of labor), the result is 1) increased inflation, and 2) increased unemployment. Simply put, if an employer is forced to pay his employees more than he is currently paying them, he must either 1) raise his prices to cover his costs (inflation) or 2) fire some of his employees in order to keep his prices competitive (unemployment).
Now who is hurt most by increased inflation and unemployment? Poor people. Think about it - do you seriously think that raising the minimum wage has any effect on rich people?
But it is easier to say “you can’t live on the current minimum wage” than to explain that raising the minimum wage hurts poor people more than it hurts rich people.
That’s the LIE. And Liberals would rather perpetuate the LIE to get votes than do what is right for their constituents.
Okay, now to price ceilings. Last year in Hawaii, the legislature set a maximum price that stations were allowed to charge for gasoline. And what happened? When the price of gas became too high to sell, there was no incentive to lose money on it, so stations didn’t buy it when the price was too high; as a result, there were shortages. And when the price was below the maximum price, stations charged MORE than usual in order to make enough profits to sustain themselves in the event that they wouldn’t be able to sell gas when the price rose above the maximum allowed price. As a result, people in Hawaii paid MUCH MORE THAN the average price per gallon of gas in the U.S.
Anyone having passed a high-school economics class should know this, but Liberalism isn’t based on FACTS, only emotion.
Want to whether any politician is worth his/her salt? Ask him/her his/her position on the minimum wage.

Muslim immigrants are straining Swedish society, they’re draining the economy and they’re driving crime rates to unprecedented levels. The worst thing is, is that no one in Swedish politics or in the press will say/do anything about it for fear of being labled a racist.
We’re suffering from the same problem in the US right now. No one will step-up and say the muslim cabbies in Minneapolis are wrong for evicting passengers with alcohol, yet thousands jumped to defend the muslim woman who refused to remove her head scarf for a driver’s license photo in Florida. America cowers in fear of being called culturally intolerant. This fear gives rights to a minority of people that abuse the majority. We need to re-open the two-way street, I’m tired of living a standard that is cast aside in the name of religious freedom.

the problem with secular human rights groups with regards to islam thay dont even consider religious pronouncements regarding islam in determining why muslims do the things they do. Liberals today have the same problem, they are familiar with the bible and christian traditions but are clueless about islam and choose to remain that way.
The root of the problem is the quran, then the sunnah, then the ulama(clerical bodies), then the individual muslims. The only enlightenment for islam would be to throw out the quran and sunnah.

The way the admin is handling them is OK, the saudis can see that if they get way out of line the curtains will come down, and at least they recognise that AQ is just as big a threat to them as anyone, they do something about it, not in a nice way either.
The saudis also realise that if Israel goes down so does most of the production of oil in the ME so they sponser peace talks, albeit to pacify the other sunnis, but at least they are trying. Most of the other ME arabs are not.
Second: if you need 20/hr as a liveable wage then you are far too extravagant.There are millions of Americans living on much less, and they make do, If the min wage was 20/hr then there would be a catastophic loss of jobs and not only for “the work Americans wont do” crowd either, but for millions of others.

May 26th, 2007 at 10:27 amI often play devil’s advocate, because people often get too wrapped up in their own arguments to present a rational case for or against something (here, that something is Islam). Some of you seem ot be against the religion of Islam on the grounds that it brainwashes, people carry out acts of violence in it’s name, etc. You could just as easily substitute out ‘Islam’ and the ‘Koran’ and replace with ‘Christianity’ and ‘The Bible’. Christianity has been used over the past 2000 years as a tool to pacify and rule large groups of people(the pope, kings and vassals), to kill and conquer others (crusades, missions/colonization). Any religion in the hands of extremists can be carried out in such a way, not just Islam, and history highlights this.

Why dont you actually study the quran , sunnah and islamic shariah law, then study the history of islam from muhammad to now and see if you can come to the same conclusion?

Ask yourself what were the stated reasons by muhammed and the subsequent caliphs for the conquering of asia, north africa and parts of europe for the first 400 years of islam?
Then ask yourself what were the stated goals of jesus and the apostles and their successors for the first 1000 years leading up to the first crusade? In fact what was the reasoning for calling the first crusade as stated by the pope?
Then you can ask if the quran is written in order of revelation or length? After this , you might understand why such a term as Nashk(abrogation) is important to Islam. you will see that surah 9 is the last “revelation ” of muhammed and contained within that surah is the vilest of commandemnets for followers of the “one true religion” to follow. It says “when you meet the unbelievers in battle strike off their necks…” (9:5) Kill the unbelievers where ever you find them.. etc.
After really understanding Islam you will find a great distinction between it and christianity. That while christians have had a history of NOT following the exhortations of jesus “to Love our enemies and do good to those who harm us” the muslims have had a history of following exactly what muhammed has told them. Like killing jews(bukhari, quran), taxing jews and christians and humiliating them, converting or killing other unbelievers. raping women, enslaving men and women and children(concubines)pedophilia(aisha the 6 year old child bride of muhammed) (bukari). the list goes on and on as illustrated by muslim historiansd and muhammed himself through the hadith and the quran respectively.
You will see that the pope called the first crusade because of a request by the church of constantinople to free them from the oppression of the muslims who had conquered their lands and enslaved their people placing heavy burdens on them and not allowing them to teach their own children their religion. The pope exhorted crusaders to take back the holy land and other lands stolen by the muslims over 400 years of raping robbing and pillaging. He said nothing of making conversions. Unfortunately, in their zeal some crusaders killed jews and committed abuses along the way but the fight was not unprovoked as muslims pretend. we remained patient for too long.
you relativism reveals your own ignorance of history and the religion of islam. i say remedy the deficiences before you decide to pretend you have knowledge.
