Media Is Murder

When I first got back from Iraq and I reported that the mainstream media were literally killing our troops, the mainstream media and leftist bloggers shrieked hysterically that such a claim was nothing short of laughable. When I said that the insurgents’ morale was largely shaped by the reportage and editorial bent of the U.S. media, I was also dismissed for making such “ridiculous” statements. Back home these issues are theoreticals. When you are in Iraq, and are still being blown up because the enemy has been led to believe that the Democrats may yet hand him victory, these issues are a matter of life and death. And they make a man very, very angry indeed.

From Victor Davis Hanson on April 26, 2007:

“Sometimes no comment is needed. So it was of Vietnam when victorious Gen. Giap later remarked that that the American Left was “essential to our strategy.” He elaborated to the Wall Street Journal: “Every day our leadership would listen to world news over the radio at 9AM to follow the growth of the antiwar movement.”

And Giap added that anti-war activists, “Gave us confidence that we should hold on in the face of battlefield reverses. We were elated when Jane Fonda, wearing a red Vietnamese dress, said at a press conference that she was ashamed of American actions in the war.”

The DOJ needs to grow some fucking balls and start taking these media wanks to task. Where are all these ‘leaks’ coming from? How is it that Sy “I love Joe Stalin Hersch has all this insider classified info? Throw that commie shithead in solitary until he gives up these traitors.

I’m sick of the fucking complicit media.

Victor Hanson hit the nail on the head. The MSM cost us the war in Vietnam. Look at the Tet offensive, we kicked ass yet it was portrayed to the American public as a defeat. Hopefully America will wake-up and realize Dick Reid and his cronies are aiding the enemy! Keep up the reporting Pat!

This is why this blog’s existence is CRITICAL. The lamestream media is NOT going to change their stripes anytime soon. It is up to every reader/participant of this blog to tell as many people as possible about its existence and its contents.

You will never get the truth from the MSM. Never. Ever. I belong to a few forums across the net, and the information I get here is shared there. The MSM is not about the truth. They are about what sells.

  4. Emery

I see the MSM are already trying to spin the lastest potential death of Al Qaeda’s leader in Iraq. First they trying to say he doesn’t really exist and he is the figment of the Bush Admistration imagination so they can say Al Qaeda is really in Iraq. Second they are claimimg that we have said he was dead before so it’s just more disinformation from the pentagon.

    Blah..Blah..Blah.

The MSM have and continue to play a major role in America’s demise. What do they gain from it? Power and control? World domination? They are as bad as Pravda used to be.

WHY THE FUCK DO WE TEACH HISTORY IN OUR SCHOOLS AND OF COURSE OUR MILITARY?? MAYBE IT IS TO LEARN FROM MISTAKES, ETC. IF I OUT LIVE PELOSI, REID, FONDA AND THE REST OF THESE FUCK HEADS, I WILL PISS ON THEIR GRAVES.. I PRAY THAT WHEN THE GRIM REPER TAPES THEM ON THE SHOULDER, HE TAKES THEM TO THE MOST UNTHINKABLE DIMENSION AND THEY EXIST IN SPACE FOR ETERNITY!

Pat: you need to get a freakin spell checker on here!

  7. John in PA

Spell checkers are ok, but us conservatives can forgive typos & errors. Therefore, while I would use it, it is more important to liberals than to us regular folk.

  8. John in PA

When the hell are the republicans gonna start calling the liberals on their shit?
They’re all unpartiotic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are traitors!!!!
There I said it. What is so hard about that??

What the hell am I a biggot? a discriminator???

The longer they wait to accept there is a war at home the sooner they will be worth less than one square of ass-wipe.

Still pissed off. The tide has to turn….

I was in Vietnam when LBJ quit and refused the nomination of his party. He then unilaterally stopped the interdiction bombing of the Ho Chi Minh Trail allowing the NVA to resupply leaving our asses to swing in the breeze for the political gain of his politcal cronnies. These same bastards are at it again. Its not Patriotism thats the “last refuge of a scoundrel” but left wing politicians.

    Greetings:

    Stripped from the story above:

Gen. Giap later remarked that that the American Left was “essential to our strategy.” He elaborated to the Wall Street Journal: “Every day our leadership would listen to world news over the radio at 9AM to follow the growth of the antiwar movement.”

THIS (Giap’s quotes) NEEDS TO BE ON A SERIES OF BILLBOARDS with Nancy Pelosi and Reid’s pictures included.

How much do billboards cost? Let’s start a collection!
We can make it like those Burma Shave billboards! WHO’S WITH ME!?

Have you noticed how the Dems have tried to discredit one of the only MSM outlets that sometimes gets it right–FOX. They refused to participate in a Pres. debate in part sponsored by FOX. And remember Bill Clinton going off on FOX. It is part of their strategy this Pres. election–boycott FOX, discredit them. And now the owner of FOX is trying to buy Wall St Journal–the only MSM paper that gets it right most of the time. I don’t know if I like it being owned by the same guy–where’s all other other rich coservatives who can own/start media empires??????

There is no doubt that the media and Dems are aroused sexually by bombings in Iraq. The jihadists and our media are working in a symbiotic and erotic relationship with each other. CNN basically says “Blow up some troops! How about a mosque?! Some children?! Harder baby! Faster…oh yeah it feels good!” Then after they climax, they go to a press conference and with grim and concerned faces ask Tony Snow about the latest atrocity.

Because the whole point is to make the news. Getting the story on TV, print, radio and internet. They cannot win militarily. Hell, Al Queda is losing the support of its former allies. Who cares?! Blame Bush!!! He’s the real enemy! Not Al Queda for chrissake! We have seen the enemy and he is Karl Rove. In fact, Rove probably brought the towers down himself.

Not only do I believe that liberals encourage terrorists to kill our troops, I believe they take pleasure from the deaths. They like it. They enjoy it. They get their rocks off when they see dead soldiers. I think Mike Moore uses it as viagra. It is their aphrodisiac.

Chuck Schumer’s hair plugs are feasting off the blood of our dead soldiers. His hair plugs are vampires. He winks and nods to Al Queda -his greatest ally besides the NY Times- and they carry on.

Democrats and their supporters are murdering our troops. Under the cover of TV. And because they hate Bush so much more than Al Queda, they prefer to see our people die and Iraqi children murdered and jihadists prevail around the world. Because Bush Is Hitler!

Now recall back to the days of WW2 or even JFK. Dems were once an honest opposition party to the R’s. Now the hair plugs in their scalps drink the blood of heroes like beaujolais in the Hamptons in July. If we “lose” in Iraq due to their sexual affair with Al Queda then we live in very very dark times indeed.

look at this email from the Edwards campaign….

    ………………………………….

    Dear John,

This is the moment of truth on Iraq. The veto we knew would come has arrived. Congress must now make a decision: cave in to Bush and extend the war, or send back a binding plan to end it.

I asked my staff to create an emergency television ad that would bring the people’s voice directly to Congress, calling on them to make the right choice. They worked late into the night and we now have a powerful message ready to go on the air in D.C. as soon as tomorrow morning.

But I need your help: We need to raise $100,000 in 24 hours to air this ad. If you want to make sure every member of Congress, their staff, and the national press corps see this message at this critical time, I need you to chip in whatever you can afford right now, at:

Is it normal for a presidential campaign to drop everything and focus on pushing Congress to end a war? Maybe not.

    ………………………………………

    This is an outrage

Tim - Amen! Billboards everywhere! :!: :!: Sign me up!

  21. @thepointyend

Steve - the Army’s concern with bloggers is not so much the opinions that get posted, but that all of the little pieces that get posted here and there can add up to a significant picture for the enemy. I’ve seen postings of destroyed tanks that essentially transmit ’shoot it here to kill it’ info to potential enemies, as well as seemingly harmless photos from FOBs and outposts that clearly show force protection measures to a degree that they could be used.

That doesn’t mean that there won’t be bosses out there using the new guidelines to curb criticism, or at least curb some of the dim o’crat death chants  , but I don’t think that is the intent.

When I was in Fallujah, Iraq at the end of September a patrol returned from a patrol that was conducted south west of the city in the countryside. The patrol had brought back some propaganda, typically it’s aimed at the local population. However, this very large poster that was put on cardboard and placed on the side of the road for the Marines to find was aimed at American Forces. On it images of bush and oil and dead iraqis could be seen. However it was the typical liberal anti-war talking points. How Bush wanted oil, how the US hates Muslims…etc. The most interesting this is that the propaganda that was aimed at us said that the American people don’t even support the war and no longer support the troops. The poster went on to say that we should just leave so that we don’t die. The point is, anti-war propaganda here in the US is fueling the insurgency, providing them with hope, and is underminding US Forces efforts to defeat the motivation of insurgent groups in Iraq.

For all we know, there are Republican politicans that are calling the libs for what they are and are doing. The problem is the MSM, they will only show what they approve of, anything against them or their elected puppets will be 1)Edited 2) taken out of context 3) voiced over to be used in a politcal add against the Republican

I realize I may sound like a broken record, but anyone that is out there that is sick of the MSM and the liberals really needs to hit them hard, and the only way they understand is in the pocket. Cancel newspapers, magazines, cable, etc.

You need to do this via the phone, make sure you are talking to a person on the other end, and when they ask why your canceling the order, tell them you are tired of the one sided liberal editorials they espouse as news. Tell them you are looking for a patriotic production, and they have proven they are not one.

The next step is to contact any decent local businesses that advertise in those same rags, and tell them you wil lno longer do business with them as long as they continue to advertise in the rag. It helps if you are a regular customer when it comes to this.

I have one place that I have to change the oil in my truck and the wife’s car, and that is a corner shop owned and operated by a fellow veteran! I have a large DOMESTIC truck and auto dealership that no longer advertises in the localpaper, and they have 6 dealerships spread around. They used to have HUGE ads in the paper, and they have not been hurt by the business. They have signs out that they do not advertise in the paper, and I think that may actually get them more biz than before.

And we don’ need no stinkin’ spell check…

I don’t think being mealy-mouthed is one of Col. Patterson’s problems–FREAKIN AWESOME, GO GETTEM!!:

Kathryn Jean Lopez: Your upcoming book begins with a quote from Cicero about how a nation “cannot survive treason from within.” Surely you’re not calling Democrats traitors. Or are you?

“Buzz” Patterson: I am. They certainly are if their behavior during our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is held up to the light of the U.S. Constitution. Article III, Section 3 defines treason against the United States as “adhering to (our) enemies, giving them aid and comfort. Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durbin, and John Murtha, amongst others, are guilty of exactly that.

    Blogging from the front

When we went to the field it’s not as if we were given a list of things to do. Everything we did was reacting to what Charlie did. It was no big secret. Us catching them gave us information what they were planning. Them catching us gave them no information goldmine because everything I did was determined by what the enemy was doing. We just trompted around like a herd of elephants. Here we are, shoot at me. They’re the ones that had to sneak around. So if each battalion had a blog site it isn’t going to be a security problem. It’s only going to be a problem for the MSM, the military will get out the information in spite of them. Then also the folks back home will know that the democrats are liars.

“What happened when Democrats cut off funding for the Vietnam War?” Go to hnn.us/articles/31400.html You’ll see a place to enter this title in the ’search’ and the article will pop up and it can explain what we’ve all known for years. Back then the democrats at least waited until we left, this time they’re not going to wait.

  32. Max in Minnesota

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: The Leftist MSM and the Democrat “party” have made a tactical decision among themselves to ally themselves with the terrorists in Iraq and maybe elsewhere too. Every time I turn on NPR, it is like listening to a cheering squad for our enemies. They apparently believe that a defeat for America in Iraq will mean more Senate seats, more House seats, and the Presidency too for Democrats in 2008. I only pray that the American people wake up before it’s too late.

The best thing I have seen to counter all of this, is sites like these and EVERY soldier possible signing up for Appealforcourage.org . Has everyone done this? They need to see MASSIVE numbers in order to pay attention. People like Rosie and others say they know for a fact all the soldiers want to come home as the Soldiers are saying they don’t know their mission and don’t believe and don’t want to be there. Spread the word more and more and everyone sign up. They’ll get the word to the Senators and the MSM won’t be able to avoid the truth.

and guys, the civil war is at home, here at home amongst the left and right….the left are the terrorists trying to take down America, some not intentionally but none the less they are, and the right is trying to save their asses as usual so they can freely spew their moronic views…again appealforcourage.org, sign up in large numbers, tell everyone, as there is no marketing like the opposite sites trying to use soldiers who were part of the first 6 months of the war and said they were against it from day one! THE MSM can’t ignore the soldiers. You need to fight at home too. The soldiers are the ONLY ones that can win the war within America too. Sorry for the pressure!

    Is this accurate?
    ***
The person I talked with at Lamar stated putting just the site name is
intriguing enough to get people to go check it out. This is what I was
looking into so it would attract people who may not go there if they already
    believe the two statements above.

Here are the prices they gave me. Larger billboards, 14×48, that are along
major arteries like intestates are more expensive. Smaller ones on smaller,
but still busy, roads are a little cheaper. They usually do contracts such
as three, six or twelve months but are willing to work on a smaller length
of time but the prices change.

Main interstate, 14×48 - between $1,000.00 and $2,500.00. The cost for
creating the sign on vinyl, that can be removed and stored for future use,
is $1,375.00 including installation. A billboard in a major interstate
    interchange would be $2,500.00

Smaller roads, 10.6×36 - between $500.00 and $1,500.00. The cost for
    creating the sign is $775.00.

BTW - one person is making a flier. Know any events where you can pass out fliers advertising Pat’s site?

  42. Greg - USA

Tim Roesch left out part of the email, which is as follows.

“I was looking at doing something very simple, like those black and white “God” billboards that were all over the place. They are also a lot cheaper to create. I thought of doing it three ways, each with Pat’s website mentioned. I have not yet asked for his permission.

“The war is not lost. We are winning in Iraq.”
    PatDollard.com

“…what the Dems don’t want you to know”
    PatDollard.com

Or just the plain black and white with just the PatDollard.com site mentioned.”

The last one, with just the website name, is what I was told would get the most attention. When people who are already convinced the US is wrong see the statements in the first two they will more than likely not go to the website. When you have just the website it is intriguing enough to get them to look into it if for nothing more than curiosity. There would also need to be something on the website to suck them in as most people spend about five seconds before looking away. The simple white letters on a black background are also the least expensive to create.

Lamar Advertising, no relation to Senator Lamar Alexander, does have locations throughout the US. The signs shouldn’t be placed in areas that are mostly Republican as that is juts preaching to the choir. The vinyl signs can also be pulled down and packed up to be re-used later. They also give price discounts for the type of organization doing this, for example a non-profit would get a lower price. The costs I listed above are just for ONE billboard. The prices change based on location and number of billboards. I would assume the more billboards we use, the cost will drop per billboard but probably not the cost to create the vinyl wrap. I only contacted one company so others may have a better price. Also, it would be a good idea to find someone in this industry who feels the same way and maybe they will help with pricing.

I don’t know the legal side of this or how that could be handled. Off the top of my head I would say we could send money to Pat or a specific account set up to fund this. All of the ducks will have to be in a row on this because the left will do anything they can to tear this down if it gets any traction. They will investigate Pat, or whoever does this, and where and how the money was spent and where it came from. This has to be done in a way so there is no question about misappropriating the money or ill intent and everything has to be documented.

I am all for doing this. I was actually looking into this before Tim posted his idea to the group. I haven’t talked with anyone yet as I wanted to find out more to see if it was even doable. I am ready to donate some money but if this is going to happen it needs to get out there as soon as possible.

    Thoughts?

  43. SSG Tom Duke

:!:  It will not be the American soldiers losing the war. It will be the Cut and Run Politicians who will be responsible for loosing this war.
