As a military wife, I ache for my husband to be home. I dread the thought of his return home being overcast with the question of when his next deployment is. Yet, at the same time, I realize we must finish this. There is no other way. Those of us who realize this must stand for what is right. My husband stands for what is right by being over there and fighting next to his brothers day after day. I stand for what is right by loving my Soldier and being that soft place for him to land when he needs to escape from the harsh realities of the world. I keep our homefires burning. I raise our sons to be good and decent men of integrity. You, Pat, stand for what is right by being a voice of truth. You are the voice of our troops. They need you to relay their realities. And we at home need you to be that conduit of truth and information. Please keep doing what you are doing. Thank you.

Pat you couldn’t be more right. If the enemy knew we were never giving up no matter what, they would see that there was no point in fighting and they would give in much sooner. It’s pretty sad when a country tells its men and women to go fight a war and go all out to win it, including giving their lives, but the people and leaders at home won’t do the simplest of all things to help accomplish that goal, which is to convince the enemy that we are NOT LEAVING UNTIL WE WIN, THAT’S IT, PERIOD. This is why it is so ridiculous for politicians and people with influence to talk about leaving and giving up and saying we’ve already lost the war, while our men and women are still over there doing everything they possibly can to win it!!! How can people like Pelosi, Reid, and almost every other Democrat not realize the damage they are doing as they are essentially egging the enemy on saying, come on Hashim and Khalid, …just a little further, just a little more effort, a little more time and you’re done and you’ve won.

“Senator Reid,
I just wanted to say that I heard how a Cpl. Rock in Iraq called you a “douche” publicly. I just wanted to say that I really think this is really, really unfair.
Sanitary napkins, tampons and douches perform a useful function within our society. It is kind of an insult to them to be compared to a Senator who prefers to throw his lot in with Al Queda and who encourages on national tv for a fascistic enemy to murder our soldiers, as well as Iraqi men, women and children all for the purpose of gaining a political advantage over the opposition party of our country. There is nothing lower than a politician who uses the blood of our soldiers for his own personal, selfish and despicable gain. Who encourages our mortal and heinous enemy that they are winning a war we have soldiers dying in.
I would personally prefer the company of maggots atop a pile of excrement, or perhaps a family of flying cockroaches, to any such a Senator. It is unfair to douches everywhere for Cpl. Rock -with three (or is it four?) tours in Iraq by the way- to compare you to a douche.
I am hoping you can help him come up with a better word to describe you appropriately. How about the honorable Senator from Al Queda-stan? Cpl. Rock is unquestionably a hero to our country and the citizenry of Iraq. You are a scheming, power hungry and lowly politician. Please give him the benefit of your politician’s vocabulary to help him find a better and fairer word than “douche” to describe your lowly and despicable support for Al Queda during our struggle against them. Douches everywhere deserve better.
