Veteran Rips Chris Matthews A New Asshole Over Latest MSM Ann Coulter Smear Campaign
Ann Coulter has been attacked for two days by the MSM and Dems who claim she hoped John Edwards would die in a terrorist attack. This is not true. She was making a point about Bill Maher’s comments that he would be pleased if Dick Cheney were killed by terrorists. Watch for yourself:
Coulter On Good Mornining America
BREAKING: ANN COULTER RESPONDS, TODAY:
That Was No Lady — That Was My Husband
Jun 28 03:11 PM US/Eastern
By Ann Coulter
The Edwards campaign is apparently still running low on donations, so this week they went back to their top fundraiser: me.
I doubled the ratings of the lowest-rated cable news show on Tuesday by agreeing to go on for a full hour to promote my new paperback version of “Godless” — a mistake I won’t make again. As I was walking to the set, minutes before airtime, it was casually mentioned to me that Elizabeth Edwards, wife of Democratic presidential candidate, John Edwards, might call in.
For the first time in recorded history, the show’s host did not interrupt a guest, but let Elizabeth Edwards ramble on and on, allowing her to browbeat me for being mean to her husband. (This delicate flower is very sensitive to rough words, having hired the Edwards’ campaign staffer who wrote this: “What if Mary had taken Plan B after the Lord filled her with his hot, white, sticky Holy Spirit”?)
Say, did any TV host ever surprise Al Franken, Bill Maher or Arianna Huffington with a call by the wife of someone they’ve made nasty remarks about? How about a call to John Edwards from the wife of a doctor he bankrupted with his junk-science lawsuits?
I think I may have tuned out at some point, so I can only speak to the first 45 minutes of Elizabeth Edwards’ harangue, but it mostly consisted of utterly dishonest renditions of things I had said on my “Good Morning America” interview this week and a column I wrote four years ago. (You can’t rush Edwards’ “rapid response team”!) She claimed I had launched unprovoked attacks on the Edwards’ dead son and called for a terrorist attack on her husband.
These are bald-faced lies, and the mainstream media knows they are lies. Yet they were repeated ad nauseam on Wednesday by The Associated Press, the AOL pop-up window, CNN, NBC and — stunningly — the host of the lowest-rated cable show himself, who personally told me he knew the truth.
So for those of you who haven’t read any of my five best-selling books: Liberals are driven by Satan and lie constantly.
Here is my full sentence on “Good Morning America,” which the media deceptively truncated, referring to a joke I told about Edwards six months ago that made liberals cry: “But about the same time, you know, Bill Maher was not joking and saying he wished Dick Cheney had been killed in a terrorist attack — so I’ve learned my lesson: If I’m going to say anything about John Edwards in the future, I’ll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot.”
The usual nut Web sites posted a zillion denunciations of my appearance on “Good Morning America” immediately after I appeared Monday morning. But it didn’t occur to any of them to simply lie about what I had said. No, it took them nearly 36 hours to concoct a version of that quote that included the Edwards part, but not the Maher part, or what English language speakers call: “the point.”
By tomorrow it will be: “Ann Coulter tried to kill John Edwards on ‘Good Morning America’!”
Judging by his fundraising efforts so far, I gather most of you don’t know who John Edwards is — unless you’re an overpriced hair dresser. He’s the trial lawyer who pretended in court to channel the spirit of a handicapped fetus in front of illiterate jurors to scam tens of millions of dollars off of innocent doctors. According to The New York Times, Edwards told one jury: “She speaks to you through me … And I have to tell you right now — I didn’t plan to talk about this — right now I feel her. I feel her presence. She’s inside me, and she’s talking to you.”
Let me also quote from campaign consultant Bob Shrum’s book “No Excuses”:
“(Kerry) was even queasier about Edwards after they met. Edwards had told Kerry he was going to share a story with him that he’d never told anyone else — that after his son Wade had been killed, he climbed onto the slab at the funeral home, laid there and hugged his body, and promised that he’d do all he could to make life better for people, to live up to Wade’s ideals of service. Kerry was stunned, not moved, because, as he told me later, Edwards had recounted the same exact story to him, almost in the exact same words, a year or two before — and with the same preface, that he’d never shared the memory with anyone else. Kerry said he found it chilling, and he decided he couldn’t pick Edwards unless he met with him again.”
Apparently every time Edwards began a story about his dead son with “I’ve never told anyone this before,” everyone on the campaign could lip-sync the story with him.
As a commentator, I bring facts like these to the attention of the American people in a lively way. Thus, for example, in a column about the Democratic candidates for president written in 2003, I pointed out that the Democrats refused to discuss the economy or the war, but had recently “discovered a surprise campaign issue: It turns out that several of them have had a death in the family.”
(The full column is available at www.jewishworldreview.com, www.humanevents.com and www.townhall.com.)
Among several examples of Democrats talking about a death in the family on the campaign trail was this one:
John Edwards injects his son’s fatal car accident into his campaign by demanding that everyone notice how he refuses to inject his son’s fatal car accident into his campaign.
Edwards has talked about his son’s death in a 1996 car accident on “Good Morning America,” in dozens of profiles and in his new book. (”It was and is the most important fact of my life.”) His 1998 Senate campaign ads featured film footage of Edwards at a learning lab he founded in honor of his son, titled “The Wade Edwards Learning Lab.” He wears his son’s Outward Bound pin on his suit lapel. He was going to wear it on his sleeve, until someone suggested that might be a little too “on the nose.”
If you want points for not using your son’s death politically, don’t you have to take down all those “Ask me about my son’s death in a horrific car accident” bumper stickers? Edwards is like a politician who keeps announcing that he will not use his opponent’s criminal record for partisan political advantage.
Manifestly, I was not making fun of their son’s death; I was making fun of John Edwards’ incredibly creepy habit of invoking his son’s tragic death to advance his political career — a practice so repellant, it even made John Kerry queasy.
I’m a little tired of losers trying to raise campaign cash or TV ratings off of my coattails, particularly when they use their afflictions or bereavement schedules to try to silence the opposition. From now on, I’m attacking only serious presidential candidates, like Dennis Kucinich.

Not sure which give me a chubby, her words or legs?
Would love to see her slap mrs. edwards hard enough to knock her wig off
June 28th, 2007 at 12:07 pmOH SNAP
June 28th, 2007 at 12:16 pmSteve, please stop attacking Mrs. Edwards and her $400 hair weave. You are poisoning the political debate!!!
June 28th, 2007 at 12:29 pmThat guy is a patriot! I’d like to buy him a beer. Same goes for Ann Coulter!
June 28th, 2007 at 12:32 pmAnd you too, Pat.
June 28th, 2007 at 12:33 pmactually it was a reference to her chemo wig….
is that better?
June 28th, 2007 at 12:58 pmAnn is a rare gem.
Her problem is that she is too smart, too funny, and too vocal for her own good. (not a bad problem at all, really)
By “for her own good,” I mean that either people are incapable of comprehending the language of her statements, or they deliberately choose not to comprehend the meaning of what she says, and instead choose to twist her words for their own agenda.
She has a great sense of humor… she married?
Cheers, Pat!
June 28th, 2007 at 1:13 pmOddball Mathews isn’t used to having big bad dudes challenge him. Chrissy looked a tad worried…notice him looking for help? The Veteran is indeed a patriot.
I’m with Steve on the legs issue. Ann is looking VERY nice. Great legs.
She obviously made a joke. Baill Mahr did not. She gets burned, Mahr gets a pass. So what else is new?
Just another MSM weapon of mass distortion.
Sieg Heil Hillary.
June 28th, 2007 at 1:14 pmDammit, I wanted to see the whole rant. He was ripping his ass up.
June 28th, 2007 at 1:29 pmEVERYDAYJOE - SHE’S SINGLE, I had the pleasure of getting my picture with her and Laura Ingraham at CPAC last year.
June 28th, 2007 at 1:41 pmTHAT IS MY FELLOW AMERICAN TALKING TO MATTHEWS! WE NEED MORE OF THAT!
STAND UP AMERICA!
June 28th, 2007 at 2:19 pmI think everyone’s missing the bigger issue here. Chris Matthews said on the video clip that he thought what happened was “a policy from the top”, from the civilian leadership at the Pentagon, and, presumably, above. Chris Matthews just said that he believes that sexual sadism, like we saw at Abu Ghraib, was an official policy of the Bush Administration in dealing with detainees.
June 28th, 2007 at 2:25 pmOh man I wanted to see the rest of that video!! Loved the look on Matthews face, his handler (off left) didn’t know quite what to do either.
Matthews and his ilk are so far freaking distanced from reality they go into a little shock coma when someone like that guy walks up to them and tells them the straight shit.
June 28th, 2007 at 2:39 pmdid anyone notice at the end of the interview when matthews asked why ann coulter referred to mrs clinton has having chubby legs, that upon responding to this by saying give me the quote, he was unable to? why because like many liberals they rely on other people to supply quotes for them. he didnt read her book and therefore couldnt quote her correctly just as is the case with anns comments regarding the edwards are misquoted and misunderstood.
it would have been nice for coulter to mention how “mean” it might be to suggest that GW Bush is racist based on his perceived lack of regard for the victims of hurricane katrina. The lady from the south seems to want fairness from everybody but herself.
June 28th, 2007 at 2:47 pmI loved it! Thank you Pat Dollard! Future0311, I would like to see MORE of this happening to these jerks out there in fantasy land too. As usual ~ gotta give thanks to our veterans! *mwah*
June 28th, 2007 at 2:49 pmcolin
i think you are missing the point that Mrs. edwards call was planned, and that ann coulter is being attacked for the very things she allegedly said while these untouchable politicians have been quoted to compare our soldiers to nazi’s, being called stupid, and evil etc. numerous democrats have said this from dick durbin to kennedy, to kerry and edwards yet criticsm of these politicians is off limits? they need to grow a pair. matthews treats democrats with kids gloves but republicans, soldiers and anyone else they dont like get portrayed as evil. this is why democrats are seen as siding with our enemies, the ones who really want to hurt us, and work to censor dissent through things like the fairness doctrine, or name calling.
The gist of mrs. edwards call: dont be mean. If that aint the pot calling the kettle black.

“Oddball Mathews isn’t used to having big bad dudes challenge him. Chrissy looked a tad worried”
He’s more comfortable when he’s beating up on a girl. His crassness and bullying tactics are reserved for guests like Michelle Malkin and Ann. He’s not man enough to stand up to a hero like that vet…..at least not mano a mano.
June 28th, 2007 at 3:08 pmMatthews was surprised the black gentleman was articulate…and clean, too.
June 28th, 2007 at 3:10 pmIf you saw Spitball the other night where Matthews set-up Coulter with Mrs. Edwards some things might have slipped past you:
1) Matthews insults the Coulter supporting live audience (who looked to be largely college age behind her)
http://newsbusters.org/node/13778#comment
(there is a selection of modes by which you can access the audio/video)
2) If you saw the Spitball episode and wondered about Ann’s answer to the audience member’s question about who she would want to see in Gitmo (she said, `Right now, Chris Matthews’) … Here’s why:
A poster to one of the subject threads on newsbusters about all of this just happened to be there in the audience. He/she said in Matthews’s warm-up of the crowd prior to Coulter coming out for the interview to begin he, Matthews, made jokes about `having such a big audience to see Coulter … and imagine if it were her beheading, how many more would have shown up’ …
Additionally, the video clip of the veteran above should go viral. I did my part today.
June 28th, 2007 at 3:32 pmJaybear:
Exactly. Oddball is a big man when he’s picking on little women. But when a real man gets in his face, he can’t handle it.
I want to buy that vet a beer and a shot.
June 28th, 2007 at 3:51 pmAlthough I’m not a big Ann Coulter fan (she can’t hold Laura Ingraham’s jockstrap)…what Christine Matthews did to her was BLATANTLY UNFAIR, and a CLASSIC libtard media smear tactic.
That vet was freakin awesome…Good thing the camera cut off, w/Matthews flashing that sickening Dukakis-style Massachusetts smirk, I have a feeling the vet took that waterbottle and went upside his head to wipe the smirk off his ugly mug.
You know the Massachusetts smirk…the one that instantly communicates, “I’m an oh-so-smart liberal, and you’re an ignorant Wal-Mart shopping moron.”
June 28th, 2007 at 4:16 pmNot a coulter fan(i’m too moderate) but I loved the Vet-love all vets, they have the right to be frustrated at the media, which rarely says good things about them-wonder what he was going to say next?
June 28th, 2007 at 5:14 pmMy favorite Mathews moment was when Zell Miller threaten to put a woopin on him
June 28th, 2007 at 5:17 pmhttp://politicalhumor.about.com/od/multimedia/v/zellmillerduel.htm
I love how the Conservatives in here and the Liberals on sites such as the DailyKos both ridicule Chris Mathews. Between the moderate liberal Mathews and the moderate Conservative Joe Scarbourough, MSNBC has the most intellectual lineup on MSM. Remember Mathews had AC on his show. So did Scarborough. Today Mathews had the ex-con Sharpton and the ultra God-hating liberal Hitchens (who would feel right at home in this site, I might add, since he supports the war effort). Their debate was a little one sided since Hitchens has a far superior intellect than the “Reverend”. Despite what you think of John Edwards his wife is absolutely correct. If we want to solve Iraq, security, etc… the nation needs to get away from name calling. It is a lesson many posters above could learn.
June 28th, 2007 at 5:40 pmSmart. Articulate. Blond. Hmmm. So much for that stereotype. I think Ms. Coulter also enjoys firearms. Woohooooo!
June 28th, 2007 at 6:01 pmAnother example of how Ann Coulter gets fed to the dogs while people like Michael Moore walks on water–but apparently cannot heal the lame (thus his trip to Cuba )….
June 28th, 2007 at 6:56 pmHey Kipp, Ann Coulter doesn’t call names. She’s much too smooth for that, But I do asshat.
June 28th, 2007 at 7:59 pmWAAAAAAAAAAAAH You’re exercising your first amendment rights and it hurts my feelings - WAAAAAAAAH This is not helping my self esteem - we should give the jihadi’s a big ol’ hug and sugar cookies cause that would be nice - why do we have to be so ugly to each other, ugly is not nice, we’re just trying to get everyone to love each other and not pay attention as we take all your rights away so that you can’t touch us - waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah - we’re the new royalty, if it weren’t for us you’d all be dead.
I swear some politicians want to set up a new feudal system? Why else would they agree to pay for social programs? Power. It’s good to insult them every now and again to remind them that they are just humans like the rest of us. This is America - our brothers in arms gave us freedom from feudal oppression and slavery - and our founding fathers wrote the constitution to limit the governments power, not to kindly bestow us our civil rights.
“a free people [claim] their rights as derived from the laws of nature, and not as the gift of their chief magistrate.”
Thomas Jefferson: Rights of British America, 1774. ME 1:209, Papers 1:134 http://etext.virginia.edu/jefferson/quotations/jeff0100.htm
Kipp, please go grab a knife and castrate yourself because your nuts are not doing you any good.
Cheers Pat!
June 28th, 2007 at 8:02 pmkipp a pew research poll rates msnbc watchers at near the bottom of the intellectual scale. what does that say for Chris matthews? yet rush limbaugh’s listeners are at the top.
by the way, “God hating liberal” is redundant.
June 28th, 2007 at 8:04 pmOnce again kippy spews forth shit.
June 28th, 2007 at 8:18 pmof course he is an asshole.
I just coulden’t resist that Kipp. You do seem to at least try to have a thought prosess, and you seem to respect these warriors more then you used to, and I appreciate that. Although I can’t beleave you think Mathews is a moderate.
June 28th, 2007 at 8:43 pmMatthews spins on communists and the Breck Girl bends over for islamofacists. I heart Ann Coulter.
June 28th, 2007 at 9:10 pmPersonally, I think they are all douches. Edwards, Coulter and Matthews. Edwards is a manicure-getting pretty boy, Coulter is a man-jawed self-indulgent twat an d Matthews is a moron with a big mouth and small facts.
I don’t care what political party they support, they are plain as paint dumb.
June 28th, 2007 at 10:30 pmTJ:
Fucking great post.
Jim:
Zell Miller ANOTHER great Marine. I still say it was the saltpeter….LOL. Just shows you how great US Marines are.
June 29th, 2007 at 5:33 amOnce an ass-kicking Marine, always an ass-kicking Marine. Semper Fi Devil Dogs.
I don’t care what anyone thinks of Ann Coulter (as she has the right to say/write) whatever she wants in this country (at least for the time being … wait IF Hillary gets in the WH). I like Ann, and agree she has a “way” of saying things that come off as cruel … But as she has been saying the last two days, if you’re not smart enough to get her point, meaning, jokes then you’re just a stupid asshole to begin with (my choice of words)and it’s NOT her job to define or explain or sentence diagram for you in order for you to get it.
Matthews IS NOT A MODERATE, kipp, nor is he a reporter or journalist. He is an opinion spewer who has lied to the public audience that he is moderate. Example: Dennis Miller is a moderate (also not a journalist) and a commentator. He never disguises himself as a working journalist. He and Matthews do exactly the same thing in ridiculing or categorizing who they don’t like or agree with … Only, Miller is honest about it being his personal opinion and observation. Matthews puts it out there as if it is a piece of fact in the story he’s covering.
I said this on newsbusters concerning this prime example of not only media bias, but MSM deception and manipulation:
You know, the MSM is a business for profit. They claim to be in the business of informing the people … which is their product (hence, producers).
We wouldn’t accept a misrepresented product, a defective product, a faulty or dangerous product. Companies are taken to court everyday for these types of consumer trust violations.
The MSM (especially the news programs) fit into everyone of those violations. I think it’s time they were taken to court too.
June 29th, 2007 at 5:39 amIf MSLSD or CNN is so great, then why are their ratings so low?
For that matter why are conservative talk radio shows ratings so high?
Simple economics. Libs say the glass is half empty, conservatives say that it is half-full.
Libs see a half-filled glass of water and immediately want to legislate out all of its micro-organisms.
Or they see that the glass is half empty and want to blame it on evaporation caused by Global Warming.
No wonder why talk radio rules. Who wants to hear stupid ass shit from stupid asses like mikey moore and Al Frankenstein?
Optimism rules, pessimism destroys the spirit and a nation.
I second Allen’s comments Kipp.
June 29th, 2007 at 6:02 amAllen,
Unfortunately you would have to pass me the knife since you are done with it!!!!
Feudal system? The rights being taken away are being done by the guy you elected in the White House. If you consider Cheney a part of the executive branch their game of hide and seek is doing more to weaken the Constitution than any presidency before them. You are right about our brothers in arms but it does no damn good when the President doesn’t attack the root causes of our discontent. Let us not forget it was mainly Saudi nationals that attacked us on 9-11 but how often do you hear Saudi Arabia come up on the so called War on Terror? If you would drop that bloody knife and think maybe you and T Jeff would have one thing in common.
Clyde,
I wear the asshat to keep Ann Coulter loving butt sniffers like yourself amused.
Oldroy,
Matthews is not a far left cool-aid drinker. When you are far right any liberal in the middle seems far left.
June 29th, 2007 at 6:50 amCould your new love affair with French conservatism take a break to read this story? Ah…French Conservatives!!!!!!!! Pass the fromage, sil vous plait…
http://uk.news.launch.yahoo.com/dyna/article.html?a=/28062007/344/barbra-streisand-honoured-france.html&e=l_news_dm
June 29th, 2007 at 6:53 amLOL! she does seem to be square-jawed and kinda bony, but otherwise hot, Matthews is cool, Edwards-WTF?
June 29th, 2007 at 7:43 amAllen ,Clyde, Oldroy, I think you pissed off another libtard? Good job men.
June 29th, 2007 at 9:11 amwhy would kipp confuse honoring singer for singing with politics? should sarkosy discriminate against striesand because she’s a liberal? conservatives don’t do that. they’re more ethical than libs, who would never give an award to a conservative artist, right?
June 29th, 2007 at 9:24 amKippster,
“MSNBC has the most intellectual lineup on MSM”.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Whew, thanks! I needed a good laugh.
June 29th, 2007 at 9:49 amLamplighter:
I’m just wondering if when Babs went to eat at a Paris hotel, did the waiter charge her a different rate for the food than they normally charge Parisians? Or did she get the Parisian prices?
In any event, at least she wore an outfit that doesn’t force the world to look at her old sagging boobs.
June 29th, 2007 at 9:50 amSo what Ann says might offend someone. Her arguements are allways well founded. We need more people in this country to call people out onto the carpet when they lie, cheat, steal, etc. As for Mrs. Edwards asking her to stop talking because it doesn’t help the situation, I guess she doesn’t understand the concept of free speach. The country would be better off knowing who the hell these people are.
As for the vet who spanked Chissy, All I gotta say is, “Hoorah!!”
June 29th, 2007 at 10:33 amWho the hell does Matthews have pictures of at that shitass network that keeps his sorrier than sorry ass on the air?
June 29th, 2007 at 10:49 amThey should give his time to Coulter. Their ratings would go up overnight. And God knows they need something, and it ain’t Chrissy Matthews.
Kick ass, Ann. Oh that’s right, you already did. Sorry.
Kippster,
“The rights being taken away are being done by the guy you elected in the White House. If you consider Cheney a part of the executive branch their game of hide and seek is doing more to weaken the Constitution than any presidency before them.”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Obviously, you have studied little history. You might actually want to pick up and read the Constitution some time, then compare what it says to how activist judges have interpreted it. You’ll find a lot of interesting information in there, such as:
- limits on the Congress, several of which Congress has violated
- freedom of religion, not freedom FROM religion
- right to free speech, unhindered by any “Fairness Doctrine”
- right to bear arms
- right to private property not being confiscated by the government for “public benefit”
- right to life (Fifth Amendment, without due process of law)
- that the Government shall protect each of the states against invasion.

Link us the site detailing the pew poll you sited above.
June 29th, 2007 at 11:20 amPew has a nice “News Quiz” on their site. Very interesting
June 29th, 2007 at 2:24 pmnational results. If you haven’t participated, try it. It is a hoot.
http://people-press.org/reports/display.php3?PageID=1068
there’s the link kipp - read it and cry like a little bitch
June 29th, 2007 at 2:37 pmHere’s another one:
June 29th, 2007 at 3:05 pmhttp://www.olbermannwatch.com/archives/2006/07/pew_poll_msnbc.php
The vet challenging Oddball looks like Kevin Martin a member of Project 21. Kevin is a good man.
June 29th, 2007 at 3:42 pmWow Allen, are you sure you want to throw out that link. It proves you’re a dork with no ability to break down reports.
Those with “High Knowledge” were based on three questions. Do you think the three questions they asked constitutes “High Knowledge”? Do you think the three questions they asked substitutes favorably to a college education? So the ignorant statement you made above is just that, ignorant.
If you base the study off of college grads you will see that MSNBC viewers blow away Fox viewers. Hell, the Daily Show torched Fox News. The highest rating goes to those bastions of Liberal readership the New Yorker and the Atlantic Monthly. Of course if you are still hinged on three questions defining High Knowledge I got three questions for you:
1) Why are you letting your pet monkey analyze data for you?
2) Why are you so easily swayed?
3) Who’s the bitch now?
June 29th, 2007 at 6:00 pmTo further support my point look at this Pew report (Thanks for the great site Allen so that I can smash your idiotic statement):
http://people-press.org/reports/display.php3?ReportID=319
Instead of three questions (as if that is a high degree of validity for testing), this poll required individuals to answer 15 of 23 questions correctly. A not so convincing 65%.
A mere 35% of Fox viewers were able to get a 65% or above!!!!! Wow. In fact Fox News viewers were right down there with local news viewers. Those liberals who watch CNN scored a 41% (still low in my opinion). But two (if not three if you count newspapers)liberal based outlets ranked in the top three.
Sorry, Allen the facts are kicking your freakin’ ass.
June 29th, 2007 at 6:18 pmKipp:
You’re wasting your time. There isn’t a single patriot in here that gives a damn about your “facts”.
So you can argue your point until the cows come home, but you’re wasting your time.
You are a liberal. That makes you the enemy.
By your angry tone, I guess you want everyone to respect your view. or possbly demand that they do.
Not going to happen.
If MSNBC were so great, then their cable ratings would be better than they are. The fact is, their ratings are consistently near the bottom. Why? Because people don’t fucking care what Keith Doperman or Chrissy Mathews have to say…about anything…
If the radio ratings are correct, more people are listening to talk radio than are watching Chrissy Mathews or CNN.
So, you can quote your facts all you want. In here your views are strictly in the minority.
We don’t like jihadis, traitors, demo’rats or posers like yourself.
If you want to be a tough guy, join the Marines or the Army. Do that, and then maybe your views will get some respect.
June 29th, 2007 at 6:37 pmKipp, you don’t have much of a life do you? Friday night arguing about Fox friggin news, percentages, and bs? Maybe if you get laid you’ll feel there is something to fight for. I’m just saying…..
June 29th, 2007 at 6:44 pmThe Edwards’ don’t want to get away from name-calling. They just want to reserve it for themselves.
And it’s been very well-established that intellectual capacity has little to do with the ability to get things done in the world. A brainiac who can’t relate to, motivate, and communicate with people will not do well. They used to write books about the difference between EQ ( Emotional quotient ) and IQ. High IQ people, while technically intellectually superior, achieved less in the world and had lower incomes than high EQ people, because despite all their brains, or perhaps because of them, they lacked the ability to comunicate with others, to relate to others, to socialize with others, to motivate others, to understand others, and therefor to get shit done in the world, since shit is usually not accomplished in a void; the high IQ people tended to be more of the isolated in a room types than the leader, good colleague, and comrade types.
And if Chris Matthews is so smart, why did he react with incredulity when Bush said Iran was actively arming the insurgency in Iraq, just this January? Liberals with high IQs tend to be dumb as boxes of hair on most issues because they have been taught to suppress truth and logic in the service of political correctness, and have been ideologically polluted and twisted. Once you’ve been brainwashed to think within the confines of certain liberal conceits, it doesn’t matter a flying fuck how high your potential IQ is, your thoughts are corrupt. Al Gore is smart, but he always makes shitty policy choices, same as Jimmy Carter, Dennis Kucinich, John Kerry, Bill Richardson, Karl Marx, VI Lenin, John Lennon, Ted Turner, etc. If we all had a nickel for the stupid and dangerous shit that truly gifted men believed in, we’d all have a lot of nickels. Someone once asked me how I could possibly choose an intellectually inferior man like George Bush over an obviously intellectually superior man like John Kerry. I replied that I didn’t give a flying fuck about how much grey matter a man in the position of policymaker had, it was about the conclusions he came to in terms of policy, not the intellectual process that got him there. If all of John Kerry’s intellectual superiority merely produced inferior policy decisions, than I’d rather have the dumber guy who was smart enough to know that people would have less money in their pockets with higher taxes and were more likely to die if we weren’t aggressive against terrorists. In politics and policy, it’s all about a man’s conclusions, not whatever fancy thought processes got him there, or his paper IQ number. It’s why smart guys do better in classrooms and on paper than in leading men and making things happen in the real world. Most professors can’t even park their damn bicycles.
June 29th, 2007 at 6:50 pmInfidel, you are too funny.
June 29th, 2007 at 6:55 pmThanks there Danny-boy!!
Mr. C, I LOVE it!!!!!!!! You’re the only other person I’ve heard use the expression ‘dumb as a box of hair’ besides this very Infidel, but there are many as you know. You make excellent points.
Kipp–I didn’t mean to be inappropriate with you talking about getting laid, really. But you were talking about polls and reports and all that. Not too long ago a poll found that republicans were more satisfied, with ya know, that…..so there ya go. I just said, “no shit.”
June 29th, 2007 at 7:22 pmMr C. I got a boss who is the perfect example of what you say. She’s got a PHD and is absolutely brilliant in everything but her job.
The former occupant of that position was a H.S grad. She on the other hand was absolutely brilliant in that job.
Proving once again, that hard-won real world experience trumps a pedigree every time.
IQ’s mean nothing. All the education in the world amounts to a hill of beans when it comes down to life in the real world.
Furthermore, if one is unable to fathom easy to understand real world problems, then that individual is truely a waste of life; no matter how well educated.
I’ll take the HS grad with common sense over the PHD any day. Or GW over big Al.
Good post Mr C.

But can you remember the words to Danny-boy? Sing it to me

kippy ,
June 30th, 2007 at 8:08 amI noticed compared pmsmbc to fox,but I was comparing rush limbaugh. limbaugh was behind the weekly standard magazine i belive. Msmbc near the bottom.
Read my post s-l-o-w-l-y there TJ. The highest of all by far was the The New Yorker and the Atlantic Monthly. Secondly, Limbaugh and MSNBC are different mediums. You need to compare Limbaugh and say NPR which stacked up equally.
You others that spoke about the distinction between wisdom and college degrees crack me up. Each doesn’t exist in some sort of vacuum. If you were truly wise you would know that having a college education puts you on a track to make more money in almost every instance. Sure, there are idiots that have college degrees but there are considerably more idiots that don’t. Getting a degree shows the ability to focus on goals. There is also a corelation between having a college degree and living longer.
“Higher educational degrees are typical prerequisites for highly compensated work in the United States and other industrialised nations. According to US census data for the year 1998, the median earnings of adult, year round workers with professional degrees are about four times higher than those of adults who had not completed high school.10 Thus, the level of education ought to be correlated with cumulative income, which is the basis for measuring income inequality.
In addition, more schooling seems to extend life.”

Infidel about me getting laid, I’m married and have that covered. Besides your post came after mine on a Friday night!!!!!
Oberman on MSNBC is a far left guy. He is the equivalent of Hannity on Fox. Matthews and Scarborough are stand up guys. Why more Americans don’t watch them regularly is perplexing to me. Just as more than 40% of Americans still believe Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9-11. Go figure.

June 30th, 2007 at 1:59 pmkipp,
limbaugh is media. that is the point. he is biased, yet his “fan” base goes across the political spectrum. Msmbc is watched exclusively by nitwit sheep like yourself. limbaugh has no university degree but he has worked hard since he was 17 started at the bottom and now that he is on top, he continues to read and do alot of research. he goes to the source of stories while chrissy and others rely on staff to provide them with quotes from people like limbaugh that are outof context normally.
This guy is informative, funny, sarcastic, and has the top ratings to boot. air america and other liberal attmpts all fail mainly because the concepts they try to convey are ones that have failed and continue to fail around the world. plus they just dont entertain at all.
you ought to try listening to limbaugh or just go to his website.
July 2nd, 2007 at 1:35 amKipp or should I say krap. because that is all that you are capable of spewing. Scumbag Muslims were responsible for 9/11, The U.S.S. Cole, both of the embassy bombings, ALL of the sucide bombings in Israel, the Bali bombings, the Madrid bombings, the attacks on England, launching rockets on Israeli citizens, the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur War.
Are you starting to see a pattern. . .Or are you just like all the other self-hating Liberals, who know more about Paris Hilton than you do about your own countries history?
oopps I almost forgot. . .they also tried to blow up the twin towers in 1993
