Jesus, Mary, and Joseph! Are these people for real? Pat - how, pray tell, can you live there and not need to wash continuously? You must really be an island, bless your heart.

This is a pile of dog shit. You can’t be serious.

Wasn’t there something similar a few days ago
    out of New England?

A group in Conneticut or Vermont talking about
    ceasseeding from the union?
Maybe I’ve got my facts wrong.

Call me paranoid, but this sounds like the
ramp up to a civil war?

    I knew I wasn’t crazy:

nice pic, fruits and nuts, but where is the sphincters?

California the land of fruits and nuts and asses.

We are the UNITED states. Audacity…. that a state can want to reap benefits of that union yet be so insolent as to circumvent the powers bequeathed to that Union. I think for this to be constitutional they need to succeed and absolve themselves or all federal benefits.

Ambassidor Pelosi is the role model they are following. Its the exact behavior of an undiscliplined kid - more stupid than a dog that does not bite the hand….

Here is the hipocracy. The same people that argue they should be able to ignore federal authority on foriegn policy are the very same people that make it impossible for local authorities to enact laws controling illegal immigration. They get ACLU support to prevent local govt to enforce federal laws.

    Example: http://www.smalltowndefenders.com/public/node/6
The laws at the link make the local language for local govt english and can withdraw business licenses landlords or businesses that knowingly harbor illegals

ACLU launched 21 lawyers in this mini-city and the constitutionality of the towns laws are before a federal judge.

Ah, the left coast. Where women are…I forget now….What are they? And men are? Hmmm…Let me rethink that….

No offense to all you patriots that live out there, but Ca is definitely been smoking something for a LONG time.

  10. Max01

Those in Vermont or elsewhere, who are talking about seceding from the union are either communist or naively think that the jihad, Russia, China, etc will leave them alone if they are not part of the US. I call this the appeasment gone wild mentality. Hell some of traitors would form alliances wit America’s enemies to save their Anti-American liberal behinds.

they do not call it La La Land for nothing. Reality has only a toehold in many parts of the state. Glad I live in Orange County where there are some solid pockets of sanity. Forget LA, or the Bay Area. It is too big, not all of us have the same political views out here. Unfortunately the majority gets to carry too much clout in terms of political throw weight, electoral votes, ect. The State Charter for California has the provision to be broke up into three separate states. The wacked out “policy” initiative mentioned above makes for a good argument to do do. gy

  12. Steven D

Actually, I think this is a great idea! (sarcasm)

Then we can pull all of our military bases out of California and turn it over to whoever wants it.

  13. MikeP

This is the kind of shit that makes the rest of the world hear the word California and just start to laugh.
What a fucking joke this place is. It is like each area of the state is trying to come up with the next outrageous thing to say or print. The ‘any publicity is good publicity’ ain’t always so. If you’re a conservative in California–quick, get out now. The state becomes more irrelevant each day.

  14. FTL

    pisses me off.

let this be a lesson on what P.C. gets you… a bunch of idiots at the wheel. now I know what the east coast meant by : La La Land.

 Soooo the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia speaks for me on being against the Iraq War?!! Helllll no they don’t! Keep making Kalifornia a one party state (hmmmm…Isn’t that like being China or Venezuela). Well remember this Peoples Republic of Kalifornia there are a lot of us that would like to succeed from this socialist state and form a new state away from Sacramento! We are getting tired of the crap going on with Sacramento and San Francisco who wants the return of a 100% socialist state. So from one native California says FU*K YOU and your ga dam declaration. (Oh! By the way…I deliberately misspell California on purpose so don’t get this notion that I am a hill Billy red neck who can’t spell).

  16. Judith

If CA wants to secede from the union, then strip it of all benefits and rights, and let the immigrants have it. No federal benefits, no federal money, no federal protection. I am sick to death of lettuce pickers and nitwits. “The masses are asses”

  17. Heather

I remember living in CA for 7 years. It is a unique place. I knew many decent down to earth people–maybe we just gravitated to each other to seek respite from the madness. Then there are the liberal nuts who act as if CA has already seceded. The rest are just too self-involved to really care about such trivial annoyances as national politics– I mean there are much more important things to concentrate on—like getting your eyebrows tweezed. These self-absorbed types simply follow the lead of the liberals.
It is sad and frightening to see our nation spiraling down. It is beginning to crumble…many courageous and dedicated Americans are trying to hold it together, but it may be too late.
In the Biblical prophesies that deal with the end times, most agree that they can find no reference to the United States. And before any “scholars” remind me that the USA was not known of back then. I will reiterate that we are speaking of prophesy—crucifixion was not known of in the Old Testament either yet it is foretold and described in several Messianic prophesies. If the US is not in existence or at least not even relevant enough in world politics to mention during the end times—what does this bode for us? It is true that no man knows when the end will come and Jesus will return for His followers. We are given a few benchmarks–one being that Israel will once again become a nation…..check. Also Matthew 24:34 says that the generation that saw the rebirth of the fig tree (Israel) will not pass away before all these things (the end times)take place. It seems to me that as disheartening as all the changes we are seeing in our nation and world can be—it is comforting in that it is following the words of the Bible. I do not consider myself—a “dooms dayer”. I have simply looked at the words in the Bible and it all falls in place. I don’t feel it is a matter of how some have interpreted it–in fact it all seems pretty straight forward with little room left for interpretation.
If anyone would like to read more here is a link that can explain it much better than I can.

You can’t take the Cal. legislature or the governor for that matter, seriously. If you do, you’ll go crazy. This has been going on for a long, long time. If you knew the extent of it, like I said, you’d go crazy. Sane people are the minority. We don’t have adequate representation. We just have to go along with everything. Until they do something really, really, really, really bad–then I guess we’ll rebel. Sort of like when we kicked out Grey Davis, but then we got Arnold, who basically turned- coat.

  19. Dan

Ca is just lost it’s ever-loving mind. Too much dope, too much Pelosi and too many girlie-men in office.

I like the idea of pulling out all military bases and turning the place over to the bugs and the illegals.

The next time there is a major earthquake, let Mexico fix it. Or get the potheads to fix it.

Can’t you just see a bunch of stoned pin-heads trying to repair a road or building. It’d be like an old three stooges movie when der boyz tried to repair a plumbing leak.

Arnold should never have left his day job.

  20. Charles

California is like granola…what isn’t fruits and flakes is nuts!

  21. PooleeScore

I fucking can’t wait to be out of the state of California. About the only good things we’ve got going on for this state is in San Diego… and its called MCRD

  22. carol m

OK, now I have to defend California. There are alot of things that are good–the weather, the golf courses, Coronado, Balboa Park, the agriculture, Lake Tahoe (basically, the landscape), the people who fight wild fires, the soldiers at Camp Pendleton and other bases, the wineries…But most of the peole who populate it are probably wacked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. everydayjoe

Nevermind the invasion of foreign nationals (a.k.a. amnesty) and law enforcement, let’s focus on our CA war policy…

…good to see that CA has it’s priorities in order.

  24. Steven D

    Heather,

Bravo for speaking up regarding the End Times prophecies in the Bible. As a fellow believer, what you are talking about is something that I have struggled with spiritually for several years. Knowing that the events foretold will occur, and that it will make the atrocities that took place in World War II pale by comparison, do I just sit back and let it happen, or do I try to fight it?

Thought I do believe the time is short, the Bible also tells us that no one knows the time, and that early Christians thought that it would occur during their lifetimes. Consequently, I believe we have to fight for what is right as if it weren’t going to happen shortly, but to be prepared in the event that it will.

Everyone knows that our system is horribly broken, but the question is whether it is broken beyond repair. Clearly, our governmental leaders are either corrupt, incompetent, or powerless to change things. We, the people, must take action to correct this ship of state before it completely collapses.

Fortunately, our founders wisely provided for this. Hopefully, it is not too late.

  25. PooleeScore

Carol- They aren’t soldiers at Camp Pendleton. They are United States Marines.

  26. Infidel

Heather and Steve D, you’ve brought up some interesting thoughts. What I was taught is this: God promised King David that his offspring would never be wiped off the face of the earth “to time indefinite”. When we become followers of the “Greater David” Jesus Christ, we become part of that promise.

As a kid I thought that promise seemed unnecessary, look at ALL of us, our gov’ts etc. How could we ever be wiped off the face of the earth? Impossible. Forward 25 years….hmmm…okay, it makes more sense now. There are people who want to do that, who are saying they will do that. This is why God recorded that promise long ago. The US may not be guaranteed, but the sons of David and especially the Greater David ARE!!!!!

  27. carol m

I knew someone would nail me on that one.

  28. chay

The picture accompanying the article says it all:

Fruits and Nuts. The are all a bunch of Fruits and Nuts. I live in Commifornia, so I can say that.

  29. PooleeScore

ha, its all in good fun.

  30. Heather

Infidel (by the way I love the name),
You are correct in what you say.

I didn’t really get into it earlier, but that is why I believe there will be a pre-tribulation Rapture. Christ’s followers will not be here when things “really get bad”…ie during the 7 years of tribulation. For some this may seem over the top thinking–but again I go back to the Bible. It outlines everything very clearly and specifically. The challenge for Christians is this: Do you believe what the Bible says. Do you believe that Jesus is the son of God and He was born to a virgin and lived among men? Do you believe the old testament? The creation..the flood? If yes–then we must accept all the Bible and all of it’s teachings. It is not up to us to pick and choose which parts “make sense”.
