An Email From Michael Yon
There were bodies of men, women and children. Al Qaeda slaughters families everywhere: as these graves were being unearthed, more bombs were found in London.
I got this email from Michael Yon in Diyala just a few minutes ago:
Pat,
I know you have seen this firsthand. The savages are still out there: http://michaelyon-online.com/wp/bless-the-beasts-and-children.htm
My Reply to Michael:
Michael:
I remember being amazed as a child at what humans in the Third Reich were able to do. How people who were probably raised normal, were able to slip so easily into evil insanity. I saw it again firsthand in Iraq, obviously. Suicide bombings, severed legs of IA rigged as IEDs, etc., etc., etc……
The average American’s distance from not only the horror, but the determination and insatiable ambitions of his enemy, leaves him unawares to the threat that gathers against him.
We’re in for rough seas.
Keep safe.
Some of the bodies seemed fresh. The air temperature was about 115°F.
The houses all were empty. We passed by two donkeys each shot in the neck. Al Qaeda had killed their livestock.
Al Qaeda often plants bombs inside the dead bodies of the animals and people they’ve killed. They have rigged children’s bodies with explosives.
Good God.
To deliberately kill children…Godspeed to our boys over there, and to Michael Yon. What Michael is doing is as crucial and courageous as the acts of the boys of the 1-12 CAV and the 5th IA.
Fucking animals.
July 1st, 2007 at 12:34 ameveryone in military is greatest of my generation. respect to no end. …I hope they Slaughter every last one of those sick fucks
July 1st, 2007 at 2:07 amSome are saying that the NATO troops knew there were children in the buildings that they blew up last week!
In Afghanistan.
Others are still denying it.
What is the latest?
July 1st, 2007 at 3:44 amJason Burke would have reported that the Americans did this in some twisted plot where he qoutes British senior officers
July 1st, 2007 at 4:32 amSins of omission by the MSM.
As much as I thank G-d everyday for our brave men and women, and pray for their victory and safety … I do so for Pat Dollard and Michael Yon also. They are troops armed with cameras, video recorders, pens, laptops and brains … Something the MSM is completely void of. They have our troops’ backs in this media war against them. When Dollard and Yon SAY they support the troops, they have tons of evidence to prove it.
As for the story and the pictures let us not forget the rational and reasoning of those who believe they are mental levels above you, me, and those who are fighting this war on all fronts:
“Faith or fear, that’s your choice … You can walk through life believing in the goodness of the world, or walk through life afraid of anyone who thinks different than you and trying to convert them to your way of thinking … get away from the fear … Don’t fear the terrorists. They’re mothers and fathers.” - Rosie O’Donnell
Oddly enough (and obviously lost on her) the idiot was expressing perfectly the philosophy of the Islamo-Fascist Jihadi Terrorists … Not us. (The idiot is a Freudian nightmare!) People such as her would see these pictures, or even the rotting bodies first hand, and still insist we are worse than those we are fighting … and that this was all our fault, and the terrorists whose hands are dripping with blood are completely innocent.
July 1st, 2007 at 5:00 amthe dirty bastards..what will it take to open the eyes of alot of americans..espcially our so called leaders..to realize what is knocking at the door..its in your face evil brutality..if we leave the good people of irag hanging, shame on america..does our elected so called leaders even see this shit?
July 1st, 2007 at 5:12 amIndeed, the real humanitarians are those brave Americans in uniform. In perhaps two years, I hope to start my tour as one.
July 1st, 2007 at 5:13 amThese sick phux are nothing short of pure evil on earth. They must be found and exterminated in the most gruesome manner imaginable so that no one would ever dare joining their ranks. Barbarism must be fought with a greater level of barbarism that will give the enemy pause.
July 1st, 2007 at 5:41 amNo doubt the Dhims will still be bitching about such mundane matters as Abu Gharib and Guantanamo. There’s just no perspective in their reporting.
I hope that this report hits the wires.
These motherfuckers are rabid dogs and should be put out of their misery at every opportunity.
One interesting note. I see in some ways things change, and in other ways they stay the same. The term Kit Carson scout was popular in another war 40 years ago,
The attrocities committed by the VC/NVA were just as horrid. And those attrocities got almost no attention in the media.
One of my compatriots in my Army days was attached to a Graves Registration unit tasked to recover US bodies.
On every mission he found some of US bodies buried, mutilated in red ant hills.
People who do these kinds of things, have forfeited their rights to live in this world and should be therefore shown the front door to the gates of hell.
Fucking scum.
July 1st, 2007 at 6:06 amthe killing of the livestock must be a cultural thing, the iraqi’s did this during their kuwait occupation in 91
this could very well be a sign that the bad guys are loosing ground, trying to have maximum insult on the iraqi’s
July 1st, 2007 at 6:15 amTheir not animals, animals don’t even treat their prey like this. When my cat eats a mouse, bird, lizard etc. he kills them quick and eats them. These people are monsters. I read this myself last night at Yon’s website and was horrified. He mentions they found the SEVERED HEADS or children, they beheaded children!!!! There are those in our society who say that there is no devil and demons and evil doesn’t really exist. Bad behavior is simply a result of bad upbringing or lack of education or some other PC BULLSHIT!!!!
We need to take the gloves off our soldiers so they can get dirty, nasty, ruthless and kill everyone of these monsters.
I agree with just posting, the military is made up of the finest people in America.
July 1st, 2007 at 6:16 amThese behaviors are signs of a desperate enemy.
July 1st, 2007 at 6:43 amThese bastards are doing exactly as the VC/NVA did 35 plus years ago, with the same apologists and enablers cheering for them .
I think that the Iraqis involved in this know who and what they are dealing with ,so, let the Iraqis handle whomever they capture.
I do hope the pacifists and peace now goblins enjoy spinning this one
July 1st, 2007 at 7:15 amAnd thanks to our other Ernie Pyle for always telling it like it is. Keep it up Michael. We don’t need the MSM any more. They’ve lved out their usefulness.
Good work. Keep your head down dude!!! Stay safe.
July 1st, 2007 at 7:38 am“FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RELEASE No. 20070630-12
June 30, 2007
Local tip leads Coalition Forces to mass grave
Multi National Force – West
CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – A local Iraqi citizen’s tip led Coalition Forces to the site of a mass grave late Friday evening outside Ferris, approximately 35 kilometers south of Fallujah.
Coalition Forces uncovered 35 to 40 bodies at the site. The remains were bound and had gunshot wounds.
This incident is currently under investigation.”
God bless Michael Yon, and God rest the souls of those poor innocents in that village. I have a post about it at my blog, too.
But why the hasn’t this story been sent out to every media outlet/milblog BY THE US MILITARY??!! We know they have some great cameramen, they have all the media contacts, and they have a goddamm freaking Iraqi Hue massacre on their hands…AND NO-ONE IN COMMAND SAYS ANYTHING ABOUT IT??!!
PEOPLE, A CRITICAL COMPONENT OF WINNING ANY WAR IS “PROPAGANDA!!” WE NEED TO GET INTO THE GAME.
I go to YT all the time, the mil has a GREAT spot there, but they post about 1 vid every 3weeks…WTF? We could, and SHOULD, be flooding it with 50% jihadis strafed/vaporized/waving white flags, 50% jihadi atrocities against Muslim Arabs, and 50% jihadi dropouts violently condemning their old comrades.
July 1st, 2007 at 7:52 amgatorbait:
Excellent perspective. Right on target.
July 1st, 2007 at 7:55 amBill:
You are correct sir. My apologies to the animal kingdom.
July 1st, 2007 at 7:58 amsuch the fools who belittle the Commander in Chief when he tells us of the ‘evildoers’
July 1st, 2007 at 8:02 amSometimes I get so mad at the barbarianism of AQ–other times I am just overwhelmed with sadness. The children are suffering so much. My husband is one of those tough guys with a heart of gold. He talks about the children he sees there a lot. It reminds him of our sons. He is like me I suppose–sometimes angry….sometimes sad. But always…always he is determined to give everything he’s got to make sure that our children can live in peace and security.
July 1st, 2007 at 8:11 amI really don’t know what the outcome will be–will we ever defeat this enenmy? Is is too late? I look around me and very few people seem alarmed. We are concerned about so many things…..did Paris Hilton eat in prison? Why did Kobe buy his wife another ring? Is Bradgelina pregnant? I know we have a lot on our collective minds. It just seems to me that this war and this threat to our nation should be a little higher on the list.
I think our country’s (and other’s) apathy is what scares the crap out of me. I feel like we are sheep who are so busy grazing on our nice green grass that we have no clue about the wolf that is lurking. Funny thing is…..if you told the sheep. “Hey there is a wolf!!!!”
He would just glance at you and say “Chill…the grass is so good here. The wolf will never bother us. Don’t be afraid of the wolf. See those sheepdogs over there–they are the real enemy…” Then of course the sheep would go back to munching on his grass. American’s are clueless. Our apathy will be our downfall.
I am so grateful for our fighting men and women who see the true danger and are defending even those who don’t realize all they are being defended against. I am so grateful that they sacrifice everything to keep this terrorism…this brutality off of our soil. They are stemming the tide of Islamo-facism. It is my prayer that they be able to crush it once and for all.
“Ski masks littered the area.”…But I don’t see any snow, do you?
What degenerates. I wonder when they’ll post the kid-beheadings on YT?
July 1st, 2007 at 8:13 amDenis:
NATO refutes the claim. No doubt another AQ counter-propaganda effort is the real story here. As usual the MSM is too busy counting deaths of US troops and “purported” civilian casualties while they focus on more mundane shit like her pissyness Ms Peloskis latest antics or the Steisand monster performing in Germany.
July 1st, 2007 at 8:37 amI wonder why pictures like this don’t make the front page of the New York Times, LA Times, San Francisco Chronicle, or other nightly newscasts? Oh wait then that would not show the US Military in a negative light and therefore expose these Jihadis as the barbaric savages they indeed are.
Yeah the editorial boards wouldn’t be be able to get the exclusive with Osama & Ayman when they are on their victory book tour.
July 1st, 2007 at 8:52 amMichael Yon, Bill Roggio, Michael Fumento, John F. Burns and Pat Dollard, INDISPENSABLE!!!
July 1st, 2007 at 9:12 amHeather: You express MY exact feelings. However, it is never to late and we MUST succeed in killing this enemy.
Can anyone imagine where we might be in this WOT if the MSM and the cheese eating surrender monkey’s were on OUR side?
July 1st, 2007 at 9:48 amThe captured perp of the child beheadings is on borrowed time. But, if the Iraqi had shot the perp the pic of it might get posted by the MSM out of context as that famous one of the ARVN Colonel executing a VC with his pistol, just after they executed all the Colonels family in about the same fashion described by Yon. All that people see of that old pic now is a brute ARVN officer “mistreating” a VC prisoner.
July 1st, 2007 at 10:07 amTanicacid:
Isn’t great that we have such perspective: in context. And that we are able to see through the ruse that the MSM media puts out?
And this is how we will defeat the Dhims. The jig is up this time. They lost their monopoly on reporting the news.
They failed to get it back with their BS version of the fairness doctrine.
No, not this time Ms Pissy Peloski and Clintoniski. We got their fucking number.
July 1st, 2007 at 10:25 amWhy don’t we hear about these things on the news?
I live in the netherlands, recently there was a whole debate about NATO killing to many civilians in Afghanistan…Why wasn’t this part of the discussion? Why doesn’t news like this contribute to my nations support for the war?
I think a lot of people are just hypocrite towards this war, especially because for Europeans it is sooooo easy to blame it all on the US.
I personally want to give the US troops a big Hurrah!!, they do not only talk, they take action, and commit themselves to it, no matter what! While in my nation, after the dead of less than a dozen servicemen the parliament is already planning to withdraw…But my guess is that if we don’t fight them there, they’ll come here and kill my family, and bury them, and then use MY house to attack those that fight for freedom…
Or i am just talking crap? Cos what do i have to fear over here in Holland?
July 1st, 2007 at 10:29 amBut even Holland, the liberal nation of drugs, sex, Tulips and wooden shoes has a history with muslim radicalism/agression…remember the Theo van Gogh murder, the surreal images of a military deployment in the Hague to capture 2/3 terrorists.. I must confess i am glad all the really bad shit is happening in their own countries instead of on my street..
Dan, you brought up the NVA, the communist Loation government/military is commiting atrocities like this against the Hmong people. The Hmongs helped sided with us during the Vietnam war and we essentially abandoned them.
Everyone should do a you tube search for “Hmong” and watch the video with the little boys face as the screenshot. It will make you sick to your stomach.
July 1st, 2007 at 11:18 amHolland:
You have good sense my friend. Welcome to the club. Nice to hear from Europeans who still have some real guts.
July 1st, 2007 at 11:19 amBill:
I’m familiar with the Hmong’s situation. Many of my old SF associates, loved those people…and still do.
Just goes to show that Communism, Marxism, Nazism, and Jihadism are one in the same.
The only way to confine them to the ash heap of history is to destoy them….by any means necessary.
Go back to JFK’s Innagural speech, Jan 20, 1961. Was he right or what?
July 1st, 2007 at 11:28 am[…] Al Qaeda slaughters families everywhere July 1st, 2007 — budsimmons An Email From Michael Yon […]
July 1st, 2007 at 11:28 amDan, I live near Fresno, recently local federal and state authorities arrested 10 - 12 Hmong men for plotting to overthrow the Loation government. They were raising money and where going to buy weapons in the Asiatic area to facilitate an overthrow. Their looking at hard prison time now when they should be getting no more than a scolding and told to be more discreet. Fresno has the largest Hmong population outside of Laos and its frustrating to watch these people who are trying to take matters into their own hands and do something to change the situation in Loas getting sent to prison with drug dealers and theives.
July 1st, 2007 at 11:49 amBill:
Yeah, the problem with our government seems to be that they seem to not know (at times) who their friends are and who their enemies are. It boggles my mind.
July 1st, 2007 at 12:42 pmRemember guys….Jesus said love your enemies & turn the other cheek.
Matthew 25(6) 2-4 “Do not drop bombs on your enemies”
July 1st, 2007 at 3:01 pmwww.antiwar.com is reporting 100 civilians killed in Afghanistan today in US airstrike!!!
July 1st, 2007 at 3:48 pmcheck this one out www.antiwar.com
Jesus also said he came to fulfill the law, not change it: Therefore, consider Ecclestiastes 3.
Quote: For everything there is a season….A time to love and a time to hate; A time for war and a time for peace.
This is the time for war. The time for peace is over. End of sermon.
July 1st, 2007 at 3:53 pmDenis:
Now why in the fuck would anyone in here bother to go to a link with the name antiwar.com in it?
July 1st, 2007 at 3:56 pmDenis:
thanks for the tip, did you get a hard on reading that article?
You would love it if it were true wouldn’t you? Bet you jerk off to pics of cindy sheehan too.
July 1st, 2007 at 4:31 pmThis is heartbreaking. I wish to fricking God they’d report it on CNN- at least! The media needs to show how barbaric and vicious al-Q is.
July 1st, 2007 at 4:56 pmWhere’s the UN war crimes tribunal when you need them?
July 1st, 2007 at 5:07 pmAsleep at the latte bar no doubt? Or is it the wine and cheese bar?
hey denis, you still arent aware that our enemy hides amongst civilians? that we cant possibly know if or how many civilians might be in an area we are about to bomb?
you would prefer everything be done door to door so that the american body count is bigger.
stop pretending to know or follow jesus. jesus never expected us to lay down and be dominated by anyone. though war is not sin in itself it is the consequence of it. we are fighting because we are sinners, we are not God. most dont have it in themselves to embrace terrorists.that is natural. we can pray for divine intervention but sometimes you have to do things for yourself. idont expect a leftist to understand this concept.
if you believe in any situation that you would not fight for your own life if attacked, then you can make this argument. few have been able to and i doubt you would too.
civilians will continue to die as long as their are tyrants living amongst them.
July 2nd, 2007 at 12:42 amTJ,
Kudos on a pacifist being fairly benign in a blog like this one. What is scary is when one slips through the screening or yeas and nayes of a Coroners Inquest jury. A buddy of mine had to go through one a few years ago for killing a violent drifter/intruder in his house. Even tho it was a clean shoot, that pacifist on the jury almost got his self defense shoot into a murder charge. Since in a Coroners Inquest, the jury can ask questions of the witnesses and this one gal was asking wild philosophical questions, most of them over our heads since this was a simple “us or him” equasion…that’s about the time I saw my buddy the defendent sweating…and then me too. Later in jury sequesture she refused to vote it as self defense. The jury foreman later told me they then asked her when she thought it was ok to take a life. She said “never, under any circumstance…even war”. He then called for an immediate vote before she could fowl things up further and it was 11 to 1 as self defense. Afterwards I saw the jury foreman on the steps of the court house chewing out the pacifist and the County Attorney for allowing her to sit in a Corners Inquest. At a Murder Trial OK, but not in a CI that only determines if it was self defense or murder.
So my friends, the pacifists that help balance this great countries conscience in questions of war can some times be something more personal…can kill you with love.
July 2nd, 2007 at 5:53 amMichael, You made the wires dude!!! Congrats.

July 2nd, 2007 at 6:54 amAlvin York was a pacifist too. Until he learned this passage: “Render unto Caesar’s the things that are Caesar’s and unto God…God’s”.
And what did this great pacifist do? Let’s put it this way: He won the Medal of Honor for his heroics in WWII.
Most know him as SGT York.
We should have more pacifists like Alvin York.
