Exclusive Interview With The Red Mosque’s Remaining Leader
Abdul Aziz, the one remaining leader of the Red Mosque insurrection in Islamabad, gave an exclusive interview this morning to Associated Press of Pakistan. In it, he made the following claims, taken directly from the APPs report, in their language:
Abdul Aziz said that he had no intention to surrender rather he was trying to get out of the situation secretly. ( Dollard note: This morning the Pakistan Observer reported that he had offered to surrender through a 3rd party, but the government rejected that. The surrender deadline then passed, and firefights were reported to have erupted shortly thereafter. )
While denying the reports about the presences of heavy weapons in the premises he said some students might have developed some bottle bombs as a pressure tactics for their defence but there is no stock of large scale destructive weapons. ( Dollard note: The Times of Pakistan reported finding many large explosives and shells used as mines and booby traps and stored on the compound )
While admitting that there are around 13-15 Kalashnikovs with students of seminary he said some of these are licensed while some have been gifted from the friends for defence purpose. ( Dollard note: Yeah, right )
He said that approximately there were around 250 male and 600-800 female students remaining on the premises of Lal Masjid by this time adding however he can not tell the exact number.
To a question he said that some female teachers of Jamia Hafsa stopped the girls who wanted to leave the premisses adding he has no role in this connection.
He said Pakistan was made in the name of Islam but Islamic value were not visible in the society.
To another question he said that announcement regarding Jihad were made by some individuals and the administration of the seminary had no knowledge about that.
“We have the relationship of love and sincerity with the Jihadi organizations”, he said adding but there were no elements of these organization present in the seminary.
He said the seminary was of course cultivating spirit of Jihad among the female students but they were by no means being used as human shield.
Complete report.
they were by no means being used as a human shield, huh?
hmm.. should we take a fanatics word for it?
no doubt some have been prevented from leaving, the parents of these girls should be shot for lying about their quest to educate their child in school run by ignoramus muslim clerics(i know , it s redundant)or they should be shot for being stupid. (that sums up the jihadi mentality as a whole)
hopefully they dont have gas masks and we can tear gas their unwashed asses out of there.

This reminds me a lot of the Indian assault on the big Goldenn Temple in Armitsar in 1984, when they killed the Sikh militant Bindranwale (among several hundred others).
The guys inside have forefeited their lives at this point. Oh, well.
