July 26th, 2007 at 12:52 amWell done Bashman!!
July 26th, 2007 at 1:49 amFantastic Bashman! No doubt everyone reports or writes with bias. The weird thing is how so many liberals gravitate to the media industry. I guess it’s a good thing that Fox kicks all their asses in ratings. Which is strange too because I think their programming sucks.
Oh well, I guess some people can handle the truth, especially that schitzo girl. Even she has more of a handle on it than some people.
July 26th, 2007 at 2:13 amLoved it! Somewhere buried in there I got a slight hint of a little Mothers of Invention influence. I still watch the news, but only for it’s entertainment value (okay, so I’m easily entertained). I lost respect for TV news years ago. I sometimes go to newspapers24.com just to get some semblance of what is going on in Iraq. By the time I finish perusing a crap load of the world’s newspapers, read several articles in various magazines as well as a plethora of other resources everything has changed and I have to start all over again. The media has an agenda and unbiased reporting just doesn’t seem to pay their salaries.
July 26th, 2007 at 2:32 amWhat about fox news? They are the most watch news channel. The surge isnt going to work because they are using the same tactics just with more people. Same shit happen to vietnam, that just added more people, You can’t fight a guerrilla war with conventional tactics. When the reports can get of the green zone with body armour ,thats when you know the surge is working.
July 26th, 2007 at 4:23 amSup Bash? I hear ya man, I hear ya. Liked your presentation mucho grande!
July 26th, 2007 at 4:56 amLoved the new vid Bash! Not enough time to comment this a.m. I will have to come back tonight. I want to watch this one again anyway
July 26th, 2007 at 5:02 amGreat job Bashman! The links to the MSNBC stories about the liberal bias are below:
For any of our politicians or anyone for that matter to state that the war is “lost” or that the surge has failed shows that they are one of two possible things: 1) Blatantly lying to achieve a political objective 2) Ignorant in their understanding of the “surge plan” that The Great General Petraeus and our troops are currently executing.
This also includes members of our left leaning media who are supposed to be un-biased in their news reporting. According to a recent story on MSNBC 90% of journalists in print, TV, and Radio all support democrats with campaign contributions Click here to read MSNBC Article 1…Click here to read MSNBC Article 2….
Do you honestly think you are getting a fair and balanced perspective from a media that 90% supports the democrats and their political agenda? If you are giving money to a specific candidate or party you can’t help yourself from slanting the news to further their cause.
That is why I like most Americans do not trust the mainstream media. The truth about this war is out there and the ones I trust to give me the truth is the Generals, experts, and troops prosecuting this war. The milblogs are a front line perspective of what is actually happening on the ground.
I trust a guy who is risking his life everyday to give me the real story. Not some candi-ass reporter sitting in an Ivory tower in New York with a political agenda.
According to Michael Yon there were only 9 reporters embedded with the military in all of Iraq at the end of this May. I am talking about reporters from the entire world! I’m not talking about when Brian Williams flies in for 3 day and spends most of his time in the Green Zone. I am talking about ridding in the back of an armored personnel carrier risking getting blow up along with our troops and actually meeting the Iraqi people face to face on a daily basis for months at a time. They are begging us not to leave. That is also what Brian Williams saw earlier this year the one time he did venture beyond the green zone on his brief visit.
On the right hand side you will see links to the blogs I have found that are the most updated and accurate. Don’t take my word. Take the time to click and read them yourselves. Make up your own mind. The truth is here and on the sites listed to the right. Click and learn my friend.
As far as the surge strategy goes, there is no better person to explain the surge than one of the world’s foremost experts on counterinsurgency, one of the authors of the current strategy, one of The Great General Petraeus’s closest advisors, and one of the most brilliant thinkers in counterinsurgency strategy alive today.
His name is Dr. Dave Kilcullen and below is the link to his extremely detailed explanation of the surge. After you read it you can then make up your own mind about the level of ignorance, incompetence, and deviousness of our politicians in DC.
The new democratic leaders of the house and senate in their blind hatred of President George W. Bush are trying to pass one useless form of legislation after another. What a great way to spend our tax dollars!
I however believe the truth always triumphs as the success of the surge and the Iraqi people’s desire to take their own country back is starting to get thru in the mainstream media. Thank god for the internet! Another reason why the main stream media’s market share continues to plummet.
Here is Dr. Dave Kilcullen’s article Understanding Current Operations In Iraq…
Here is an online audio interview he did for Pajamas Media…
July 26th, 2007 at 5:54 amI disagree with you here, Matt. The key to waging successful guerilla warfare is to have the support of the local population. This enables you to hide, supply, organise and rest.
The VC had the support of the locals, at least half anyway. In addition to this, they could also hide in the jungles. As you might know, Iraq is slightly lacking in dense foliage to hide in. Also, AQ have done a bang up job of pissing off the people who were sheltering them. This has lead to some former Sunni insurgency groups help the Coalition forces combat AQ. The local Iraqi population had their taste of what life would be like under AQ and didn’t find it to their liking.
Check up Pat’s posts from about a week or two ago. This was a primary theme of them.
July 26th, 2007 at 6:11 amFinnally, been waiting a month for this video.Another great one, those news guys I just don’t get it.I don’t get the people that are watching it and believing all the shit that they see.At this day and age it seems like the american people would know it’s all BS but they still watch,And if you seen one news story on a perticular channle you’ve seen them all, they all report the same shit just spew it a little different.
July 26th, 2007 at 6:12 amThanks for all the good words, folks.
Hmmm, Matt… “The Surge is not going to work because they are using the same tactics.”
Please, Matt…get help. Rehab worked for Lohan, it will work for you too.
But seriously…they are NOT using the same tactics…you’ve been watching Keith O again, haven’t you?
July 26th, 2007 at 6:39 amNice! Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing. You kinda got a little Silent Bob thing goin’ on.
July 26th, 2007 at 6:58 amMatt, I can explain this to you very easily.
1. Take either, or both, of your hands and hold them up in front of you.
2. Make a fist.
3. Punch youself in the face until you come to your senses.
** take a deep breath, it may take a while.
Great vid Bash. Let ‘em rip.
July 26th, 2007 at 7:22 amHey Bash. Another good one.
Unfortunately for Matt, rehab probably will work just like Lohan, because he is leaning to the left. Not too long before he relapses back to the left.
July 26th, 2007 at 7:43 amI also wanted to comment on Pat’s new site…
Great look, Patrick. Simple, easy to navigate, easy to comment, kudos to the design team, and all of our friends at Burger King!
July 26th, 2007 at 7:52 amstinking outstanding,
July 26th, 2007 at 8:04 ambest piece of work yet. period
you seem to have said it all in this one piece
I find it ironic that reporters today complain that they can’t report everything in Iraq because it’s “too dangerous”, yet they were able to report everything that happened in Kosovo, Sarajevo, and all throughout the Balkans in the 90s. They were able to go out into the countryside while there was an actual genocide going on and were able to photograph the mass graves and report what was going on all the while there were Serbian soldiers in tanks and helicopters combing through the area. Yet now they can’t go out and report the full story of what’s going on in Iraq even though they have body armor and armed escorts. The more I think about it, it seems not so much that it’s too dangerous for them to go out and find the stories, it’s that they just don’t want to, because god forbid the American public find out there’s something positive going on in Iraq.
July 26th, 2007 at 8:18 am@Iggy…that is a classic response, I’ll have to remember that one for the haters at LiveLeak, LOL.
@LadyAngler, LOL, you wouldn’t believe how many people brought up Silent Bob when I first started doing Bashman a few months ago…good Gawd. I would say “I was wearing my hat like this before Silent Bob was a wet dream in Smith’s mind.” heh heh
Then I just got used to it, LOL.
Thanks for all the good words, guys.
And yeah, Daniel, methinks you’re right.
July 26th, 2007 at 8:36 amGreat job Bash. The Liberals all suck…
July 26th, 2007 at 9:10 amWell done, very funny Bashman. Have you been on Letterman or Leno yet? You are more entertaining than most of the “wits” they have on. I don’t like all the cursing, but it gets to a point I don’t even notice it. That Jack Nicholson (one of my favorites) clip at the beginning is priceless–it should be replayed for the masses on the evening news every night.
July 26th, 2007 at 9:17 amThe sad part is liberals are too ignorant to realize one of the main reasons jihadists hate America is “LIBERALISM”
July 26th, 2007 at 9:52 amThey’ve stated it countless times , but liberals still dont get it . If and when the homeland is attacked again you can almost bank on it being in a liberal urban area . I wonder if they’ll then continue to think the war on terror is just a bumper sticker ..
Awesome, Bash, knew it would be!
3/4 of the American people were for invading Iraq and that was the wrong decision…
Now, 3/4 of the American people want us out of Iraq A.S.A.P. and somehow, in only four short years, they’ve gained the knowledge and capability to make the right decision…
The irony is over-bearing!
July 26th, 2007 at 10:13 amPLEASE someone inform me of the new tactics they are using.
July 26th, 2007 at 10:31 amGreat video Bash! I knew of the media bias, but I never knew the statistics on it. I can’t believe that the democrats are the ones complaining and wanting the fairness doctrine as if THEY are being treated unfairly!
July 26th, 2007 at 10:37 amCouldn’t have said it better. Go Bashman!
July 26th, 2007 at 11:59 amAnother quality Bashman production. Informative and entertaining. Right on the money as well.
July 26th, 2007 at 12:51 pmGreat video Bashman!
July 26th, 2007 at 2:06 pmYou the man! Dead on as always Bashman!
July 26th, 2007 at 2:10 pmfantastic bashman!the king,informative and as always entertaining.
July 26th, 2007 at 2:19 pmbravo Mr bashman encore encore
July 26th, 2007 at 4:37 pmTelling it the way it is, first rate work, Bashman! That moonbat at the beginning was representative of maybe 25% of this country and/or 50% of the democratic electorate. Scary.
July 26th, 2007 at 4:46 pmWell Bashman I watched it several more times because I could not stop laughing. The opening scene with Jack Nicholson’s movie clip was SO appropriate and true. It has always been one of my favorite scenes. (How the Leftist Defeatocrats do not get it is beyond me to this day.)
Excellent points made throughout. The bias of the media is core to the problems of getting the truth out.
I also love the fact that the reporters say it is too dangerous for them to go out there and get the story and yet Michael Yon and Pat Dollard, who was seriously injured and nearly killed like the solldiers he was with when he was there before - is back there AGAIN to get the story out no matter what. Put his whole life and finances up to do it too. Also, there are Iraqi children who are going to school there . . . but reporters cannot report the truth, very interesting isn’t it. The made up stories from the left are the most disturbing. I am sure our guys would just love to have them visit again.
Keep up the excellent work you do!
July 26th, 2007 at 5:46 pmmatt
PLEASE someone inform me of the new tactics they are using.
It’s called gathering the harvest. 3 solid years of intelligence gathering and making allies among the people followed by an increase in man and fire power and the lightening up on Rules of Engagement. We send allot less jihadis to Guantanamo if you get my drift.
Like Iggy said. You are pretty dense and probably need a good beat down or fast more time in the school yard.
July 26th, 2007 at 7:24 pmmatt
“..Same shit happen to vietnam, that just added more people,…”
Your comparisons to Vietnam are way off base. You would get a severe beat down for saying that kind of thing near a Vietnam Vet.
1. Vietnam didn’t have the proxy antagonists politically and economically pinned down like we do now. Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria. Russia and China were involved with that one directly and we were fighting the proxies via Cold war style, which was just pure BS and nothing much.
2. We were not as effective as we are now in getting to the communities for support. Bad lines of communication and poor logistics due to dense jungle and pure abject poverty among the entire population. This is not the case in Iraq at all we have strong logistics and have a major influence on communications.
3. Not one single leader during the conflict exhibited sound resolute postures like Bush does. This makes all the difference, You know… Commander in Chief now really means something again.
4. The General population, thanks to sites like this one, no longer buys the main stream media’s bullshit anymore and has a true distrust of their agendas and bias. Vietnam had a media black out as far as video was concerned. Now, we have embedded really getting out the truth and is heard over the loud child like rantings of the MSM.
5. If Americans knew back in vietnam what we know now. We would have one that war and crushed the Russians at the same time. Again we had no leadership for this type of fortitude because they were people more like you.
July 26th, 2007 at 7:54 pmawesome video!!! I love the quick credit flash at the end, funny stuff. Keep passing the word along, I’ve shown alot of people this video and they’ve all loved, now if only the damn liberals would grow the fuck up and understand…
July 26th, 2007 at 9:46 pmLet me shed some light on a typical newsroom (even local newsrooms)
I’ve worked for 2 local stations for 6 months a piece, (I enjoy production but the content and bullshit gets to me after a while). The problem with reporters and liberals is group think. Ever since the wire service for news was invented it took a lot of the work out of reporting - I would look at our local anchors and laugh to myself because the tried to make it look like they were really hard writing scripts for the teleprompters, but everything they got came from one convenient source - it was like writing a research paper by copying the dictionary, and in this case the dictionary was controlled by liberal minded group thinkers. Plus the fact that most reporters feel as though they are making a difference so you take one AP or Reuters story and repeat it for every television market and on across all three networks and cable companies . . . no one thinks for themselves, and when you do begin to think for yourself you begin to realize that you are part of the problem, and it’s quite an Orwellian problem.
Beware Group Think
great vid Bashman, you’re reference videos amaze me (it takes work to track that shit down) Oh and what’s up with the psycho girl?
July 26th, 2007 at 9:55 pmDuh- Camels don’t wear shoes!
Sorry, lost my mind for a second there but it was under the couch….
July 26th, 2007 at 10:07 pmYou rawk out loud! Ahhh that’s more like it.
Great video Bash.
July 26th, 2007 at 10:47 pmYet again Bash you are correct! Now if we could only get everyone else to stop denying it and start listening!
July 27th, 2007 at 1:00 amBash
I’m pretty new to Pat’s Place and even newer to you. SandyK hit the nail. In between my dart throws at Hairless Reids picture, you made me laugh my ass off. Thanks. I needed that.
Kill ‘em early, kill ‘em often, kill ‘em THERE!
July 27th, 2007 at 1:33 amTHE BASHMAN ROCKS!!!!!!
July 27th, 2007 at 8:37 amWell done ,,, I think I’ve sent this link & video to everyone I know,, Keep Up The Great Work !!
I wana hang out with this guy!
July 27th, 2007 at 4:04 pmAnother quality Bashman video ! Liberals are killing this country !
July 27th, 2007 at 4:09 pmI wish like hell I could post this on myspace so more people could se it.
July 27th, 2007 at 4:15 pmhmm.. no real details on the new tactics by the troop surge.
Saying I’ll get beat down for questioning our military is as un-American as you can get.
July 27th, 2007 at 4:27 pmWow! I need to up my skills in vid making for sure. Simply amazing! Loved it!
July 27th, 2007 at 4:39 pmI finally made it here to check out you stuff bashman. Looks great. I love the fact that your concentrating on liberal bias. It is becoming the thorn in americas side. Good job. hmatley1
July 27th, 2007 at 5:06 pm“matt
PLEASE someone inform me of the new tactics they are using.
July 26th, 2007 at 10:31 am”
Google: FM 3-24
MCWP 3-33.5
You’re welcome.
July 27th, 2007 at 6:20 pm@ Matt aka mattrd
Yo, dude, lay off the surp…
Study some more weapons manuals.
See your local Aremd Forces recruiter. Buy a weed eater and a blower. Try to pass the ASVAB with a high enough score to work as a gardener at your local Army base.
Then follow Iggy’s instructions, again , and again, and again.
July 27th, 2007 at 6:43 pmSpot on vid Bashman!
July 27th, 2007 at 7:25 pmI look forward to many more.
matt,
Sir, you are as dumb as a brick. You are comparing two wars that have nothing in common at all. If you had any real clue about what was at stake at all, you would not being making such ignorant and blanket statements about something you obviously can’t properly and objectively evaluate’t. You are looking through your Liberal reality distortion lenses and using standard communist talking points that have been used to slander our troops for over 30 years. Iraq is not Vietnam.
As far as new tactics are concerned, they are not new in the sense that we just invented some revolutionary new tactic never thought of before ever ever.
They have been used during WWII and more not merely tactics but a strategy, tactics are just the details use to implement a strategy. Much of it is common sense allot is not. War is not a recipe for baking a cake. There is no scientific and repeatable list of ingredients. Needless to say, the soldiers and commanders are exercising allot more autonomy in the way they operate their individual sectors and have concentrated on allying with the local leaderships in each of them in a different way unique to them. It’s all being scaled up to cover more territory.
You are allowed to say what you want. You get to sleep under the blanket of protection the blood of many of your country men has provided before you and even know. You have the luxury to spit on the mechanism of freedoms survival. Sleep well.
July 28th, 2007 at 1:00 amWe have plenty of tactics against the living enemy but What if they don’t make it to paradise. We have to come up with new tactics to deal with that problem.

July 28th, 2007 at 1:27 amWell done. I im new to this site but I feel like i found home. Great site pat please keep it comin. By the way bash they arent even creative enough to make up their stories all the time. While thyre at the hotel pisn their panties they watch al jezeera and others of that ilk. thats where they get their notes.
peace thru strength.
djv
July 28th, 2007 at 1:29 pmA allowishes…
wow, I had forgotten that phrase:
“Peace through strength”
Remids me of Ronnie’s:
“Trust…but verified.” heh heh…Reagan…boy, do we need someone like him right now.
July 28th, 2007 at 1:50 pmBash,
Why sell ourselves short. Let’s get someone better. Like John Bolton doing this beautiful Smack down of a BBC Socialist.
July 28th, 2007 at 9:03 pmOK, Matt. Tactics: see LTC David Galula’s Counterinsurgency Manual (he was French, so you probably will trust him more than say, a US soldier’s writings) about his experience in Algeria. Same tactics being exercised by Gen. Petraus in Iraq and reaping positive results. Note Sunni tribal cooperation against AQI, executions and bombinhg down dramatically in Bagdad, Maliki ticked off at Petraus for not kissing up to him, forcing him to take certain actions he doesn’t want to. Note Sadr ticked off at Maliki for taking out his commanders, forcing him to run back to Iran. Note FOB’s having UAV’s tracking activity, then using tools available to destroy enemy–not one story about this in the MSM, yet all FOB’s appear to have them. Matt, stop relying on MSM for your info–you are being kept totally in the dark and fed BS. Seek and ye shall find, as the scriptures say.
July 29th, 2007 at 9:42 pmWell done. As someone strongly against the war, I think that have a point.
Seems to me, however, that premise of the war, fighting terrorism -which is a tactic, poor diplomacy, poor execution, and false promises will be considered the failure in this war.
Someone smarter than I said, you don’t take an army to war, you take a nation to war. We all bought tickets, but Bush never took us along.
July 29th, 2007 at 10:31 pmRighteous!
July 31st, 2007 at 11:55 amfinally had some time to get over to this site. great stuff. thanks for the link. as always, great vids you make bashman.

August 2nd, 2007 at 9:57 am@Budwhysure…
I swear, there’s a whole group of em, they’re like groupies. They started a thread at the bottom of the Your Say page last night entitled “RHG’s and Bashman’s Vids Going Downhill”…
I posted on there that I was going to keep bumping that thread to the top of the list because any publicity is good.
