Good video!
July 27th, 2007 at 4:50 amIraqis are bearing the brunt of the casualties in this war. And they risk far more than we do. We can “cut and run” if we want to. They, on the other hand cannot. We don’t have to worry about our families getting killed because of our membership in the military. They on the other hand do not have that luxury. And despite the risks, and the high casulaties, the Iraqis keep comming back for more. If a 100 die in combat 200 want to take their place.
Brave men, deserve a fighting chance to win. Cowards like Murtha and his butt buddy Hairy Weed deserve only disdain.
July 27th, 2007 at 6:06 amBrave men indeed, these guys are being murdered for th emere act of enlisting, The smears against them by our surrender lobby are shameful at best.
July 27th, 2007 at 6:39 amHi,

I posted your video here and used most of your comment. I hope this is ok…if not…please post here and I will remove it.
Now, I am just trying to give other people in the world at bit of a different perspective on the same subject matter. Not trying to big a ‘dig head’…everyone should be able to voice a little different ‘take’ on something.
Sometimes…we just can’t preach to our own congeration…

I enjoyed the slideshow, I like the song even though it always struck me as an 60’s anti-war song. A feeling that hit me while I was watching it was a sense of pride in the display of the Iraqi flag. It is beginning to have the connotation of freedom instead of oppression at the hands of a dictator. We are creating an ally in the region. God bless our US forces and God bless the Iraqis
July 27th, 2007 at 8:52 amExcellent Andrew!
July 27th, 2007 at 9:56 amBTW the song did become associated with the anti-Vietnam protest movement but wasn’t actually written for it.
It’s been my experience that using an anti-war song or artist as background to a pro-military or WoT video has the effect of unhinging the tinfoil brigade faster than anything I’ve yet seen. It’s such a delicious irony!
July 27th, 2007 at 10:02 amI like that he turned an anti-war song on its fuckin’ head. Good work, kid.

July 27th, 2007 at 9:38 pmIt’s also a tribute to the Afghani service members.
July 27th, 2007 at 9:41 pmi’m Andrew’s brother, he made a great video about the other side of the patriots, its more then just American troops that die. there allies also play a major role of the war on terror. i hope +200 years Iraq and Afghanistan will look like America.

July 27th, 2007 at 10:28 pmIT’s cool but the music selection is quite out of date. This Vietnam era stuff has got to go. Different war different time. Get over it and get up to date.
July 28th, 2007 at 1:04 amA great vid to get the message out: we have allies that are fighting alongside us, and are GETTING KILT at a rate much higher (4-5X) than our troops are…Yet they constantly overflow the recruitment centers in-country.
Not to mention that their families are also threatened (and often murdered) by the jihadi savages.
They’ve got a lot of courage, and that’s REQUIREMENT #1 to crush our deranged mutual enemies.

Egfrow,
I just think we have more than enough attempts and misunderstandings about parallels imagined and fabricated between Vietnam and Iraq. My comment was aimed at this regard. Even Ted Kennedy slipped up and called Iraq ‘Vietnam’ on international TV. I all about getting the left unhinged as the next person. I’m just annoyed at the constant barrage of comparisons between two different conflicts.
Maybe, we should just start calling Iraq our Vietnam that we win just to unhinge them more. Perhaps we should ebrace this war as our second Vietnam and then win it to shove i down their throats. I might not be ready for that by maybe soon.
July 28th, 2007 at 8:57 pmYoutube’s view counter only counts views from their site. It doesn’t count views from when the video is played on other sites like this. So there’s more than 644 views.

Well said Dan.
Thank you for this great vid Andrew!
It did throw me for a loop at first, but it is fitting to see a pro mil vid with a classic Anti-American song paired to smack the socialists and defeatocrats in the head.
