Bush , Brown: Time For Tougher Sanctions
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said Monday he and U.S. President George W. Bush agreed that they will seek tougher sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program.
Brown made the remark during a joint press conference with Bush after their summit talks in Camp David, Maryland.
“On Iran, we’re in agreement that sanctions are working and the next stage we are ready to move towards is to toughen the sanctions with a further U.N. resolution,” Brown said.
The two leaders affirmed common ground in dealing with a variety of issues, Bush said.
“Everybody’s wondering whether or not the prime minister and I were able to find common ground, to get along, to have a meaningful discussion. And the answer is absolutely,” Bush told reporters.
Brown said, “I’ve told President Bush that it’s in Britain’s national interest that with all our energies we work together to address all the great challenges that we face, also together.”
The Camp David talks represent Brown’s first meeting with Bush since Brown became prime minister in June to succeed Tony Blair.
Brown expressed his intention to work together with Bush in addressing ways to stabilize Iraq, the Middle East peace process, the human rights crisis in Darfur in western Sudan and climate change.
Sanctions… sanctions… sanctions… is that ALL you got?
This is why no one fears or respects the US or the UK anymore. We let ignorant fucks like the midget in Iran get away with everything.

It’s not like UN resolutions *mean* anything, after all.
July 30th, 2007 at 1:57 pmIm telling you what, the world FEARED the USA after 9/11 back when Bush was handing out ass whoopins left and right and now because of Moveon.org and their sympathizers ie; the Democratic party, we have become a paper tiger. I certainly wont suggest putting boots on the ground in Iran, not my job but we could at least start with a missile strike
July 30th, 2007 at 3:29 pmUN sanctions really hurt Saddam after 10 years, eh?
What a fuggin’ waste of time. If the UN doesn’t get on the stick, Israel will be forced to act.
July 30th, 2007 at 3:43 pmImposing sanctions on a nation is like getting a bunch of two-year-olds to pound the nation’s collective leg. It’s only an annoyance.
July 30th, 2007 at 5:20 pm“Climate Change” You asshat liberal dollies, the fuckin’ Iranians are building nukes and swearing to eliminate Israel. Kill someone, dear leaders of the free world, get in Iran’s ugly stupid face, in uncertain terms assure them the end of their civilization in the near future if they don’t learn to behave like members of the human race.
