Bush may not be the most eloquent speaker, and he may support some half-baked ideas, but his steadfast resolve in the face of evil, and his two nominations to the supreme court, help me to remember why I voted for him.

Keep up the good fight Mr. president, and whack the bastards wherever they pop up, including the traitors in our own country.

Leaders know how to hang tough when wussies want to cut and run. Presidents can’t afford to make a major security decision and then suddenly decide…oops I made a mistake.

No. No matter what anyone thinks of the war, this is not the time to cut and run. Iran is just waiting, along with OBL and his demons to swallow Iraq and the entire Gulf region, if we lose heart.

Hang tough Mr President. You know how to “ruck up”. Now, teach Congress to do likewise. While you are at it, flip the MSM the bird for me.

Why doesn’t Bush do more of this? He’s got the Bully’s Pulpit. He just needs to use it to keep hammering the defeatist traitors in the Dumbacrap party and MSM that think that losing a war is a great way to win short term political battles.

I agree, he needs to speak about this every day… make the MSM print what he says and hold them accountable for aiding the enemy when they do.

All the Republicans need to rally behind General Petraus and REALLY show the troops support and will them to victory.

& yes, we do need prayer because if the Democrats get their way, expect 1,000,000 or more to be murdered within a short time of our withdrawal.

this decision is very big to me. if we turn tail and run, our democracy will decline into anarchy. I grew up believing in the underdog and rooting for him. some might say the underdog is our enemy but i would say the underdog is courage. Courage and fortitude are something our country has taken for granted during these years of peace and prosperity. if our resolve is weakened then we will not have the courage to sustain this current drive. if however our resolve , personified in a defiant president, strengthens we will prevail and continue to be the strong leader in the free world.

bush thus far ha s become our FDR, deciding to take the fight to the enemy in order to weaken their resolve. victory comes to those with patience, resolve, committment and mostly courage!

Has the American public become so soft that they cannot determine the real threat to their own well being? From where I sit in Baghdad, one would believe, through the MSM media collusion with the dark side, that the US is infested by a bunch of weak, scared pussies all chanting the same mantra - “If we leave, everyone will love us.” How naive. Did it stop when we left Beirut? NO. Did it stop when we left the Mog? NO. Will it stop if we leave Iraq? HELL NO. Our lack of follow though, especially under Clinton, has emboldened our enemies to where we are today. This is like no war we, as a nation, has ever faced before. It is a war of cultures and ideas. This war will last for decades and our great grand children will be fighting it if we are not allowed to take the fight to the enemy - on our terms. Therein lies the problem. The American public is horrified by the scenes they see everyday presented by the MSM of body parts and car bombings. Guess what people? War is hell - get used to it. We are up against an enemy like no other. They believe in the sactity of death and we believe the opposite. Therefore, we MUST be allowed to assist them in their quest - anytime, anywhere, by any means and damn the public peception. War has no place for political correctness. If not, just remember that the sun rises in the east so you will know which direction to kneel. Out.

I watched President Bush’s speech and I felt a thousand times better even after seeing all the bad news on the media. If he remains tough, and I’m now sure he will, then the troops will win, the Iraqi people will rise, and the terrorists will be defeated.

Bush should’ve had a Reagan moment by simply saying:

“I heard a lot about talk of pulling out of Iraq. Here is my response; we are fighting a global war and we will continue fighting this global war until the war is won.”

Instead of trying to quantifying every thought and making most people think; “Get to the point!”
