I really find this guy Clarke to be disingenuous cretin. At the time his book was released there were rumors that the only reason he spoke out and wrote his book was because he was passed over for a promotion. True or not to smear him or not I really doubt his books came out of honorable intentions.
If Clarke were so concerned about this proverbial storm on the horizon in the Summer of 2001 he should have yelled and screamed it to everyone who would listen. The climate was rife for it, the loony left and the press hated Bush from the start and he would have had a receptive audience.
