July 4th, 2007 at 10:16 amAnd so what? How will you police an ant heap like London anyway for every eventuality? Being more afraid today than you were yesterday does not really help you a lot here. And no-one here quite cares what the official threat level is anyhow, we’re all scared well’n'good already. You gotta go to work, you gotta take the tube, you gotta change trains, you have to pass through one of the ‘hotspots’. And what is the actual probability that you die to a terrorist attack in London? Far far lower than getting sick and dying from MRSA you caught in the filth havens we call NHS hospitals here, or being otherwise robbed/maimed/killed whilst encountering our local ‘cultural enrichers’ in their more desperate moments.
So, that is why we Londoners just don’t care, because if we did we’d be going insane with paranoia.
