Three Muslims Jailed For Inciting Murder In London Cartoon Protests

Three men were jailed for six years each Wednesday for inciting murder during protests by Muslims angered by Danish cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed.

Mizanur Rahman, 24, Umran Javed, 27 and Abdul Muhid, 25 had already been convicted at the Old Bailey after taking part in protests outside the Danish embassy in February last year.

A fourth man, 32-year-old Abdul Saleem, was jailed for four years after being cleared of soliciting murder at his trial but convicted of inciting race hate.

London was the scene of a string of large protests after some European newspapers, led by Jyllands-Posten in Denmark in September 2005, printed cartoons satirising the Prophet Mohammed.

    6 years seems a bit easy for inciting riots/murder/property destruction. Good thing Clinton isn’t in office, he’d be stepping in to reduce it to 6 months. Just like he interfered with the little American vandal in Singapore. They should give these guys Islamic Justice like in Saudi. Crime on Wednesday, Court on Thursday, Execution on Friday. Just a thought.

    All of these people in the world immigrate to different countries looking for something better than what they have. Problem is, they want to change the country into exactly what they left. I say move your ass back to the Middle East if you don’t like the Danish Press. If I incited murder everytime someone pissed me off, there would be alot of bodies laying around. Hell, I’d be dead myself. This one-way freedom of speech has got to change. I’m 35, white, male,heterosexual,middle-class, christian, German, Irish,college-educated, Republican. I do not fit in ANY category for affirmative action legistlation. I could care less about any jokes, comments, or statements you make about my demographics. But you better be prepared to be as equally thick-skinned.

    It is beyond me how the double standards are allowed to go unchallenged on a regular basis in every arena. I believe it is the result mostly of the leftist lack of desire for standards and principle.

    It is good to see these radicals got called on their crap — in Europe of all places. There is hope. It’s just too bad it takes so much effort with such small result.

    these guys go in front of the jewish embassy and shout allahu akbar and other nasty things. for those of you who dont know allahu akbar is the calling card of terrorrists who say it before and after a murder, this phrase should be deemed hate speech and incitement and dealt with accordingly. :idea:

    OK, CAIR is a Islamic radical front group, which has financially supported terrorist groups like Hamas. They are named as “un-indicted co-conspirators” in case filed by feds involving funding of Hamas by US groups.

    CAIR and the dummacrats have two things in common:

    1. “we are victims”
    2. The fault lies with anyone but themselves. They can’t make a decision or have a belief and stand behind it.

    Religion and Politics do not mix. Hence, the seperation of church and state.

    CAIR, Black Panthers and KKK all fall in the same category.

    Deists are not so bad. They believe in God but just that he doesn’t control every single aspect of life, and they did not ascribe too heavily to organized religion. Honestly I would have to put myself in this group if I am totally honest. I pray, I believe God can do anything, I believe in fate, but I don’t beleive God takes the time to decide if my car gets knicked or not. And I think many ppl are loyal to the church too much. Here is my allegiance: God, Family, Country, Race, Religion

    if anything has convinced me that religion and state should not be mixed it is Islam. My only contention in a pluralistic society, even though dan is correct in saying it was founded by christians , on christian principles with an appeal to God for our rights, is that when you put church hierarchical structure in charge of domestic affairs as well, they have a tendency to infringe on the rights of those who dont share their faith. On the other hand, this doesnt give more rights to atheists to nit pick and exclude religious people from the the same rights as others as happens with the ACLU and cair etc. It is a delicate balance.

    the problem with Islam, politically, is the religion deems itself superior to all else and has laws in place that discriminate against other religions , which is not consonant with the principles of a liberal democracy.

    God is good, but people arent always. If God wants to govern ourlives by force , lets let him do it himself, afterall,he is all powerful, he doesnt need us! :wink:

    Islamic justice in S. Arabia is even swifter than you’d think. Crime on Wednesday; trial and execution on Thursday (Friday is a their holy day, no executions then). A hand for a first offense, a head for a second. It is worth noting that petty crime in Saudi is virtually non-existent. I don’t mention that in praise of their system of “justice” but to say that Islamic notions of peace-keeping can be as swift as they are final.
