What I find funny is that the union’s are such complete sold out whores for the d’rats, Many of these illegals are taking skill jobs that usually would go to union labor, so instead of employing an American citizen at a wage that he/she can then enjoy a middle class life & raise a family, contractors are hiring illegals at far lower wages. I would rather pay union scale and get a professional who has gone through apprenticeship and years of skill development and also has an investment in the community he works in. Or for a few bucks less you can get someone who is here with unproven skills and little concern for the quality of work he does since he has no loyalty to our community, and sends his earnings out of this country.

And what of the loss of revenue from wage taxes from the employer and the illegal?

So who is the bigger fool? the contractor who hires illegals, the illegals themselves, or the unemployed union members who vote for the d’rats believing they have them in their best interest?

Not all the jobs taken are very low wage field labor.

The more I read about our government the less I understand it. Bottom line for me is this. If our leaders are more concerned with the illegal immigrants, why don’t they just pack up and move to Mexico. Like many of you, I’ve worked hard to make ends meet only to have it taken away from me and given to those that want a free ride. What happened to my civil liberties? Why is it that I don’t matter anymore? If the good people from Mexico truly want to make a difference for their families they must take responsibility for their actions and obey the law! Man up or move on.

Good post Mike, Its really important to keep the truth on this subject out there. Our “congress” thinks they can wear us out on this issue and the democrats are trying wear the Republicans out. They keep feeding us this horse crap like “they are doing jobs Americans wont do” and “This country would be in trouble without them”. The democrats just know they would gain about 20 million more voters which would more than likely lead to a one party system. I say send them home and lock the border

Well, it is ironic that my nephew, a National Merit scholar and one of the smartest kids I know, is sweating out how to pay for college. He lives on the east coast, but is looking at California colleges. He would pay a higher tuition rate than an illegal from Mexico (who attended HS in Cal. at my taxpayer expense). I didn’t bring this up with his liberal parents, because frankly, I didn’t want to ruin a perfectly nice family visit.

When was the last time you were ion the produce section of the supermarket? Apples for a buck, pear for a buck and a half, a head of lettuce for over $2?

The “cheap lettuce” theory is a bunch of nonsense.
