Tribes Battle Al Qaeda Near Haditha
Haditha, Aug 31, (VOI)- A total of nine persons, including six gunmen, were killed on Friday in an armed attack in al-Haqlaniya region west of Haditha, a police source said.
“Tribes in al-Haqlaniya region, west of Haditha, clashed with a group of gunmen, believed to be elements of Al Qaeda,” the source, who preferred not to be named, told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).
“Six gunmen and three tribals were killed in the attack, while the gunmen fled to unknown place,” he also said.
“Elements of the Al Qaeda group Islamic State in Iraq had threatened through leaflets, distributed in the past days, to launch an attack on the tribes in the region to kill all of them,” the source added.
Haditha, Anbar province, is 250 km west of Baghdad.
Keep up the pressure Tribes, haji can’t handle a restive population. He may claim to want to die for jihad, what he really means is he wants to make you die for jihad. He’s really a chickenshit at heart. Really good at killing unarmed women and children…But ain’t shit otherwise.
