57 Al Qaeda Captured In Kurdistan
Kurdish soldiers
According to several Iraq sources, including Voices Of Iraq and Aswat Aliraq, 57 Al Qaeda members who ran from the U.S. assault into Diyala, were arrested in a massive security sweep in Kirkuk. Five of them were high value targets. It is extremely difficult for the Sunni Al Qaeda terrorists to hide and function in non-Sunni areas such as Kirkuk. And unfortunately for Al Qaeda, they have been forced out of most Sunni areas, and are left with very little options, as far as friendly areas go.
“The raid was carried out by a joint force from the Iraqi police emergency division and the Kirkuk security forces in the neighborhoods of al-Wasti and al-Mualimeen, southern Kirkuk, arresting 57 suspects,” the source told the independent news agency voices of Iraq (VOI).
“The suspects were from Diala who had entered Kirkuk illegally,” the source added.
Kirkuk is 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
Also today, according to the same sources, four Al Qaeda were arrested in a far northern neighborhood of Ramadi.
The cockroaches have run out of dark corners to run to

August 20th, 2007 at 10:20 amThis is good news… Though I got this sick feeling in the near future the Iraqis will start “releasing” prisoners in mass.
Better to shoot these guys when you find em then bar them up, piss them off more then let them go later.
August 20th, 2007 at 11:26 amif they are not iraqis they should be publicly strung up
