LA Times Sends Thank You Note To Al Qaeda For Suicide Bombing

Lately, I’ve been watching the MSM do everything they can to spin that the surge has been enough of a failure to merit Congress cutting off funding for the troops - - just as they did to force our withdrawal from Vietnam. Their holy grail right now would be to report that the success in Al Anbar is failing apart even before Peetraus delivers his September report. One example is from the LA Times today, who took a single assasination and turned it into the “shattering” of the turnaround in Al Anbar. “10 die in mosque bombing in Iraq. The suicide attack in Anbar province shatters a relative calm there.” Milking it hard in the text of the story: “The blast underscored the persistent violence gripping Iraq despite the recent U.S. troop buildup and a fresh pledge by contentious Iraqi government officials to work together.” Crazy. It was a single-hit assasination of a notorious anti-Al Qaeda imam, Abdul Sattar al-Jumaili, who Al Qaeda has been trying to kill for some time now. And it only took one hit man, not a resurgent mass of Al Qaeda warriors, to kill him. It was not a sign of a turnaround of Al Qaeda’s defeat in Al Anbar. It was not an uptick of the primarily defunct Al Qaeda insurgency there. It did not require Al Qaeda to have reestablished a network of functioning terror cells in Fallujah, were the imam lived and was killed. It required a single assasin with a suicide belt to get close to him. It was an easy hit, and the imam, who sat prominently on an Al Qaeda death list, knew it would be. Which is why he spent much of his time in Syria. When he was blown up in his mosque after services yesterday, he had just returned home the day before. When he finished preaching, a vested suicide bomber detonated himself, killing the imam and 9 other people, including two of his sons. That’s the story. ( The LA Times deleted the fact that Al Qaeda had been trying to kill him for awhile, and provided no context or analyisis other than the anti-victory sensationalism repeated above ) And on the heels of yesterday’s report from the Times of London, in which a Sunni Baathist insurgent group currently working with us allegedly has signed a deal with Al Qaeda guaranteeing them a base from which to plan future attacks on the US, the real story is that today, as much or more than always, we have every reason to remain in Iraq strictly as a matter of self defense.

No LA Times, I’m sorry, but its most definitely not the story that the insurgency has once again risen in Al Anbar, as you sick bastardes hope and pray for every day.

All they know is that they want us out of Iraq, no matter the cost, until it’s time to pay up of course.

At Camp Fallujah last week, everything was calm and peaceful. The marines that I talked with said that they haven’t been attacked in months. One marine said that Ramadi is like Disneyland now compared to when they first arrived in Anbar. Kids are playing everywhere, construction is booming, they’ve hired people to clean up all of the debris. Flying over Fallujah, I was amazed at how much vehicle traffic I saw below me, and how many lights were on. The media lies.

The L.A. Times is just another in a long, long line of leftist media here in the U.S. that is willing to lie for their fucked up liberal agenda.

I’ve always wondered if they’ll be happy when they turn this great country into another Cuba or a socialist totalitarian state where there is no freedom of the press.

Fuck them! Let’s start the civil war here to save the USA! I’ve had it with these conniving underhanded lefty lowlifes that say they’re proud Americans and support the troops when it’s just a huge lie by a bunch of neurotic assholes.

You know, any reporter or editor found to be releasing untrue stories that helps our enemies causes should be beheaded with front page coverage in their own preferred medium.

I have a sharp knife and lots of good sharpening stones :)

    Bob USMC,

    You nailed it.

These traitors are neurotic kooks that live in a paranoid conspiracy theory filled world. If you spend anytime talking to these wackjobs, you find that they are so filled with logical contradictions that they are completely incapable of making sane conclusions. To them, fact and fantasy are completely interchangeable as long as it supports their relativistic, self-loathing world view.

Anything to sell bias sensational News! Thats all right for the L.A. Time has lost a lot of readers and subscribers in the last 2 years! If this keeps up the socialist newspaper will be bankrupt! You won’t see me shed a tear for them when that happens…

Objective journalism is a thing of the past. LA Times has been a BS rag for the last 20 years anyway. It’s a crying shame that people in this country believe half the crap they see/read on/in the news.

  8. Dan (The Infidel)

Most people that I know…including Dems don’t trust the MSM media anymore. These people want the news…without the biased views of MSM reporters.

They’re really tired of MSM newspeople attempting to explain events, when the people themselves are perfectly able to make up their own minds.

Some of these same people take the “Joe Friday” approach to the MSM: “Just the facts man, just the facts”. We can reach our own conclusions…they say…

People are smart enough to give more cred and weight to the troops doing the fighting than to some paperweight sitting in a hotel in the Green zone or in LA.

The lid is off the kettle…the surge IS working. MSM media spin however is not working as well….

Joe and Jane six-pack are far more astute on current events than the MSM gives them credit for being.

L.A. Times Cancellation Number 1-800-252-9141 even their Sports Page sucks now.
