Latest Poll Shows Growing Support For Iraq War Policy
USA TODAY’s Susan Page reports that President Bush is making some headway in arguing that the increase in U.S. troops in Iraq is showing military progress.
In the latest USA TODAY/Gallup Poll, taken Friday through Sunday, the proportion of those who said the additional troops are “making the situation better” rose to 31% from 22% a month ago. Those who said it was “not making much difference” dropped to 41% from 51%.
About the same number said it was making things worse: 24% now, 25% a month ago.
As evidenced by Juan Williams on Fox yesterday, the dems know it’s working and they are scrambling to come up with something else to bitch about. Their next tack will be trying to explain that even though the MILITARY aspect of the operation has improved, the GOVERNMENT will never be able to stand on their feet alone and it’s all our fault. I’m tired of all the Chicken Little’s in the demorcatic party ranting and raving. It used to be funny, now it’s just annoying.
Face it people: there is a God, HE is in charge, and he’s NOT a democrat.
August 6th, 2007 at 10:48 amOf course the polls are going up. This is what America has wanted to see since the beginning of the war. - To end the war through victory.
August 6th, 2007 at 11:14 amThe why in this is simple, true Americans play to win.
Bush has the majority of Americans in his corner on this, whatever the polls may say. I bet many are turning to support because we are coming out fighting after having a rough spot last year.
This quote from the movie Patton comes to mind:
“Americans traditionally love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle. When you were kids, you all admired the champion marble shooter, the fastest runner, big league ball players, the toughest boxers. Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser. Americans play to win all the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why Americans have never lost, and will never lose a war… because the very thought of losing is hateful to Americans.”
And also there is this guy named David Howell Petraeus.
GODSPEED
August 6th, 2007 at 11:15 amWell Damn.. That’s gonna cause a problem for the ole Libs.
Being the spineless cowards that they are and knowing that they use polls to determine what they believe in, this must be torture. How wonderful.
So how long before the surge was “Their idea”.

August 6th, 2007 at 12:12 pmMy advice for anyone who doesnt think the surge is working.
August 6th, 2007 at 1:51 pmChoice 1) Pull your head out of your ass (or)
Choice 2) Install a glass stomach so you can at least see out
I posted several links pointing this out. So what else is new. The slumber party is up shits creek come September.
Damn the polls. I’m not sure what to make of them anymore. They are so skewed in the Dems favor, that they have pretty much lost their significance.
However, polls are one of the tools that Dufurscrats use to make their points off of. So, even their own skewed polls are running against them.
But be advised Rhino Warner and Sen Wimpy Lugar are up to their old tricks again, and are attempting to put more benchmarks in the next Defense spending bill.
These fuckers just don’t get it…
Can’t wait to watch the scowls on the faces of Jackass Murtha, and his whore Nanski Peloski in September.
Are you ready for some (political) football??????? :twisted
August 6th, 2007 at 3:57 pmDoes this mean I can kick Harry Reid in the balls?
August 6th, 2007 at 4:15 pmWell . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TF3z-j8o39I
August 6th, 2007 at 4:54 pmWhee!! This is great news!!
August 6th, 2007 at 5:18 pmWell everyone knows, REAL AMERICANS will not accept defeat.
August 6th, 2007 at 7:29 pmPeople are basically stupid. And by basically, I mean people who do not follow the news, and of course, liberals. The 9% or so who suddenly now believe we may win this thing, learned it from the New York Times article that came out last week. They eat what they are fed. Anyone who really gives a damn about their country would have a genuine interest in the war–because it is in fact, for our survival–and they would be frequenters of soldier blogs and websites like Pat’s. And they would know the truth, because it would be staring them in the eyes. They would also learn very quickly that the truth is the exact opposite of what they’re seeing or reading in the MSM.
The liberal press is reporting the shift, not because it has started to work but because it has been working for quite a while. When their readers are confronted with undeniable facts all of a sudden, they won’t have time to react. They have to run damage control… because what’s good for America is bad for them.
August 6th, 2007 at 10:12 pm“There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat. And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures.”
Go, King Daoud!
August 6th, 2007 at 10:51 pmHEY POOLEESCORE! The only problem about kicking Harry Reid in the balls is finding some balls to kick. May God’s speed be with you on this journey!
August 6th, 2007 at 11:04 pmlmao drillanwr..for awhile i was giving up on the republicans, thinking about not even voting..all politicans are a pile of shit, all they care about is power, money, and numbers, and we’re doomed..so be it..if the republicans didnt have the balls to stand up to these traitors, why should I stand up for them..when the left goes down in 2008, God willing, happy days are here again
