Marines Waste Al Qaeda Team In Fallujah
Baghdad, Aug 31, (VOI) – U.S. forces in Falluja killed 12 members of al-Qaeda Organization in Iraq and destroyed two vehicles on Wednesday, the U.S. army said on Friday.
“Marines from Regimental Combat Team 6 observed and engaged an armed group of al-Qaeda in Iraq terrorists, killing 12 and destroying two vehicles near the town of Karmah Aug. 29,” according to a U.S. army statement received by the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).
“A group of three men was seen loading objects into a cargo truck from a nearby growth of weeds, 11 kilometers northeast of Fallujah, in an area known to be a historical weapons cache site. A second group of four men arrived in another bongo truck, followed by a third group of six men on foot through the reeds.”
“A team of Marines was dispatched to better observe the scene and a third cargo truck carrying three men waving weapons and wearing ski masks approached the group a few moments later,” the statement added.
“The Marines called for air support and a section of AV-8B Harrier jets dropped two precision-guided bombs, destroying the initial two cargo trucks. Marines called for artillery fire on the dismounted enemy personnel immediately following the air attack,” according to the U.S. statement.
“Twelve members of al-Qaeda were found dead upon investigation of the scene…
Numerous weapons and roadside bomb making materials were also found.
All unexploded ordnance was removed from the scene and transported to a Coalition base for investigation and disposal.”

August 31st, 2007 at 7:06 amJust a heads up to everyone. Brian De Palma, the hollywood director, has made a new film about how aweful the American fighting man is and how we kill innocent civilians for sport. He screened it in Europe, of course. He used the story of a 14 year old Iraqi girls gang rape and murder to condem all of the men and women fighting for freedom. I for one will never see another one of his films. Here is a link to the story from Reuters:

Wouldn’t it have been more fun and more sporting to shoot them?
August 31st, 2007 at 9:36 amJust askin’.
Shooting them is too slow…It’s like Mc Donalds, they want their 72 Virgins fast. Why not blow them to bits and fugetaboutit…? Seems like the quickest solution.
August 31st, 2007 at 10:20 amThats great news. There clearly is a momentum change here. Less IED’s and more bombs on terrorists.
Good job!
August 31st, 2007 at 10:49 amNow thats how you do it.
Mike in Dallas — I knew it was a matter of time before somebody made a movie about exactly that.
August 31st, 2007 at 12:46 pmIn a general sense Hollywood blows. Easy… not you, Dollard.
August 31st, 2007 at 3:11 pmRegarding that film of De Palma’s:
The level of animus that the elite, rich, white left has for the country that has paid for their elite rich lifestyle staggers the imagination.
Of all the stories that could be told on a movie budget about Iraq, DePalma decided on this one. “I knew I had a story.”
Does he have the right to tell it? Yes. Hundreds of thousands have died for his right to express his hatred of his country from his air conditioned mansion.
I would even be ok with such a story being told, were it in some kind of context.
THE VAST MAJORITY OF OUR SOLDIERS HAVE MORE DECENCY AND GOODNESS IN THEIR LITTLE FINGERS THAN OUR ENEMIES CONTAIN IN THEIR MULTITUDES.
I do not know -and barely care- about the details of this story. Because it is the exception, not the rule.
And DePalma and toupee wearing Ben Affleck and the millionaire “power-to-the-People” idiots lilke Arrianna Huffington will make and laud this film because they will contend that IT IS THE NORM AND NOT THE EXCEPTION.
Therein lies the rub. There are people murdered and raped every day all over the world. When the murderer is clever with media manipulation he may become a pet of the left, such as Toukee Williams or Mumia Abu Jamal. So killing and raping alone are not particularly offensive to them.
In Iraq, if this happens, this is shown to be a sort of symptom of a deeper sickness that works its way up the chain of command from the rapists, through Rumsfeld right on up to President Bush. He, they are to blame. Indeed, the rapists can assert that they were told to rape by commanders and the left will swallow that. (Otherwise, they are not very interested in listening or talking to soldiers.)
That we have such great people out there, taking the hits, fighting the enemy, still believing they can win even as our elite, pampered, toupeed, manicured, back-rubbed, pompous, rich, narcicisstic left wing elites bash the war, our president and then applaud their own bravery for so doing is amazing.
Are there rapists out there in the military? Yes. It happens. We live in an imperfect world. But if Juannitta Broadrick and four “Jane Does” are to be believed, then a former US President is a rapist. (Funny how some rapes are more interesting to feminists than others.)
But for God’s sake, look at the bravery, the sacrifice, the optimism, the guts, the glory that is our armed forces in 2007. Most could be working high paying jobs in our current 4.0 growth economy.
They go out, risk their lives and fight against the bad guys.
And Hollywood needs a more obvious bad guy?
EFFING Al Queda published a handbook or torture. It included breaking arms, drilling through hands with power drills, horrible, evil tortures that are designed to inflict maximum pain and then kill. They blow up children. They kill women for wearing lipstick. They kill if they think you’re gay. They blow up Buddhists, Christians (well, the left probably thinks the left deserves it…wait…the pres. candidatees are all very religious…I’m confused on that one…) Hindus, Jews and atheists. Oh and animists in Africa. They demand women cover up from head to toe, they outlaw books, they hate music, sports…hell, THEY HATE KITE FLYING.
Could Dr. Seuss have created a more obvious, more despicable crew of bad guys than Al Queda?
But with these people we need to learn more about their wants, needs and become more sensitive to them. Reach out to them. Because we’re “creating” them. Got it?
But DePalma “knew he had a story.” Yep.
And now on the HUGE SCREEN we shall see American soldiers raping and killing Iraqi citizens. In a documentary style.
How many people will be bright enough to discern that the story is not a doc but a pseudo-doc?
Let’s hear it for Hollywood. Living in their multiple mansions, with armed security and private jets, living in all white neighborhoods (See, ’cause they’re sooo concerned about minorities…right?) and botoxing, plastic-surgeoning and toupee-ing their aging faces they
HAVE THE COURAGE! to stand up to the fascistic nation and gov’t they are living under and bravely tell the story that the nation does not want to hear.
DePalma’s intentions are borne of anti-American hatred and Bush hatred. That is the “root cause” of this film. The final irony is that women being raped and killed in Iraq are otherwise of no interest. Odai and Kusai did it daily when Daddy Saddam was in power. It was a national policy for the Baathists. Did DePalma have an interest then?
Well, I doubt it. I do know that when Europe and Saddam did the sixty-nine position with the Oil-For-Food theft, that this was the system that we were supposed to respect in lieu of invasion and regime change. It led to the deaths of tens of thousands of Iraqi children.
From the foundations of freedom and luxury afforded them by the nation of the US, built on the blood of American dead, our media elite launch their salvos in the media against our troops, our president and gov’t. From the Hamptons to Malibu, from Georgetown to Marin county, these pompous, self-loving, America-hating, self-important hyenas abound.
Chris Mathews, Keith Olbermann, Countess Arrianna, the Kennedys, Matt Damon, Babs…they litter the tv horizon with their make up, their surgery and their intellects.
We have a great country in spite of them.
God, Pat. Release your film already.
August 31st, 2007 at 4:16 pmI ‘m glad I sent a check in. Hope I helped pay for one of those precision-guided bombs
