I found this to be very interesting…
My first thoughts, once I got past my nausea of seeing the Murderess from Arkansas, was “What? Rudy has a whole field of Republican contenders he needs to address before he spends any money on a Presidential ad…
Then I realized what a brilliant move on the part of Giuliani’s campaign this was. He has pulled off a hat trick, a trifecta:
1. Showed he can slam the shit out of the Wicked Witch of the Midwest.
2. Showed tremendous support for Petraeus and the troops, slamming MoveOn.org and causing us troop-supporters to say “Nice one, Rudy, thanks.”

A soldier’s job is to follow the orders of his or her superior. Why then, should they be expecting any apologies from a discussion that they are not at all a part of? It’s one thing if she was criticizing them by saying they were doing a bad job, but for her to disagree with the General, that’s between the two of them.
Eric, the General or the Soldiers are not expecting any apologies. Rudy just believes she should apologize. Just for the record, the General didn’t come to DC to debate the war or analyze the war. He came to DC to deliver a report.

Yes she supported Petraues’ appointment to the top job. Does this mean she must give him her undying support no matter what he does? Of course not! They used the hearings to defame and degrade the US Military, President Bush, and General Petraues. She has stated and by association with that website (what’s it’s name …. sorry my fingers won’t type it) that Gen. Patraeus wrote a fictional report. A report that comprises the toils and sacrafices of SOLDIERS (aka troops). If his report is being accused of being fiction then she is saying all the work and accomplishments of the US military are fiction also.
Is that clear enough for you?
Maybe I should use an analogy that liberals can understand; You are a student at Berkley. You work real hard in college and you are doing very well. A couple of years into your academic career the dean and faculty ask to review your accomplishments. So your academic advisor shows them your progress. The dean and some of the staff think you are doing great and let you know. Some of the staff, including Prof. Clinton, say your GPA and all your progress is fiction and that your academic advisor is lying and altered your GPA. The slight majority of the staff want you to be thrown out of school. Now, given that you have actually been doing well, how would you feel … would you want an appolgy?
