Eventually, I learned the joys of killing. But I’m skipping ahead of myself. I landed in Iraq in November 2004 armed with a video camera instead of a weapon...

This is absoluteely perfect...If we have, and I know we
have, infiltrated some of these smaller groups (hell we have groups "we created" years ago  ) we'll be vacuumed into greater portions of the terrorist network. As they take over these groups they will absorb the sleeper secret infedels. This looks like it could be the beginning of the end.

Kadafi is an ally? I must have been sleeping for a few years.
If the Dems were to win in 08, how many troops would quit the military and how soon then would Dems have to start the draft.

Iggy Semper Fi Brother,
Yes you are on O and I was an E but God bless ya!!!
I met you vicariously through Pat and "Living with Snipers".
I hate to correct you, but you missed one thing. From everything that I have read, with Jim Webb's bill it will not reduce troop numbers up front. And correct me if I am wrong, but there are Marine Corps units that have not been to Iraq or Afghanistan because they are not properly rained in the mission at hand. What Jim "Squidly" Webb's bill would do is make every Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine unit deply equally. Regarless of training. Thus helping the bad guy kill more Americans. Sir, if I am mistaken please correct this L/Cpl and I will do the prescribed number of push ups, mounain climbers, fluter kicks or whatever Iggy says is necessary to properly pay for my ignorance.
Webb's bill is ignorant. Murtha should be turned away from because he is no brother of mine (note that your brother started with "B" and Murtha's did not).
Tell me what I can do to help, give me a mission sir and it will be accomplished.
Thank you for everything that you have done and keep the vids coming.

The vote in 2008 will come down to whether or not one wishes to vote for a traitor or a patriot. After failing to distance themselves from the moveon.org ad...I can no longer believe that the dems have any patriots left in their leadership..And any dem still following their party line is not for this country anymore.

It is a sad state of affairs indeed that the party of Jack Kennedy and FDR has turned into a ship of fools...hell bent on destroying this country.

The threat posed by islamofacism is too big to ignor or to
go back to Sept 10 policies and thinking.

The last time Islamofacism was this much of a threat was Sep 11, 1683. It took a war to defeat it. It wasn't a whack-a-mole operation either. It was a no-rules knock-out-winner-take-all fight.

You'd think the Dems would study history and learn from it? But no, they're too busy studying Howard Zinn and his ilk.
Mulims good, Bushitler bad?

Neville Chamberlain lives in Dhimi HQ and at Moveon and CodeFink and the EU. What's it going to take to wake the world up? A nuclear strike? Probably IMHO.

Good vid Iggy.

Howie,

Webb's plan would start the next rotation after it is passed, so soon enough to make us scramble. Also, as far as our beloved Corps goes, when have we EVER not been trained enough to not go somewhere and kick someone's ass! We have never been withheld from deployment because of training. But, we have gone through great lengths to streamline our manpower so that all Marines who deploy get specific training, as a unit, prior to deploying - and the effects are seen on the battlefield. It was, and is, the right thing to do. The bill would not make all services deploy for the same time, but they would have the same requirement to meet the ratio of deployment to dwell time. Believe it or not, the Corps has something similar in the works. We are always ahead of the game.

Thanks for posting. And don't worry, this O was an E five years ago.

Semper Fi,
Iggy

Webb doesn't have the votes to override a veto. His shit is flaky. I don't care what the papers or the rest of the lame stream media says...it ain't going to pass with sufficient numbers.

Webb ought to stick to writing his child-molestor novels. He isn't good at much else. BTW, there use to be a term in the Army for guys like Webb: We called 'em slicky boys. Those with Korea experience know what I'm talking about.

Dan,

I think the world is in a far more dire situation than in 1683, at that time leaders of the Western world understood what they were facing and there were no rules of engagement. The object of war and how to prosecute said war was clearly understood. The only rule was to win.

Today our politicians and sadly some Americans are more concerned about wether or not a koran was flushed down the toilet than they are about facing and acknowledging the threat. I believe they are blinding by arrogance and fear. It’s remarkable to me how many in government are more concerned with offending islamic groups in America, even though they make up less than 1% of our society, than are about offending Christians. Christians are fair game for anything, including outright discrimination but islam is actually promoted at some public schools.

I have serious doubts about the long term survival of Western civilization as we know it. There is a strong undercurrent of almost suicidal guilt that drives so many liberals and this leads to all the PC thinking and laws that we hamstring ourselves with. There are millions of liberals who giggle inside with glee when bad things happen to America. Little do they understand about freedom and liberty.

BTW, I didn’t capitalize islam and koran on purpose, neither deserve the respect implied with capitalization. Trivial? Maybe, but it’s the closest thing I can get at this point to spitting on them.

Bill:

Well said. The Battle of Vienna was the turning point for Muslim expansion into Europe. King John III didn't play with the 15,000 Turks that opposed him. There was no limited war game-playing. He kicked their ass and saved Eastern Europe in the process as Charles Martel did in the West.

That's what it is going take to beat these irhabis again.
Unfortunately, the west hasn't the stomach or political will to fight such a war.

No doubt there will be many more 9-11's before this chapter in Muslim jihadi expansionism is closed.
