Airing Now: Mike Melody’s “Think About It”
Alright readers, it’s time to become PatDollard.com Vloggers. This is a new Contest Feature encouraging everyone to participate actively as a creative contributor to the PatDollard.com community. I’d like anyone and everyone who has something to express, in words, pictures, music, whatever…to make a video, upload it to youtube and pop me a notifying email. I’ll check it out for posting here on the front page. I will hold a vote on the last two days of the month, and the winner will receive $100.00 and a Jihadikiller t-shirt.
Thanks for posting the video, Pat. It means a lot to me and my son’s.
Mike

September 18th, 2007 at 9:45 am5 stars! Excellent!!
September 18th, 2007 at 10:02 amI never go to military sites but a co-worker sent this video to me a few minutes ago and I cried my eyes out. My boss thought there was something wrong with me. He saw it too and loved it. I read the message about going to youtube to read the message. I still have goose bumps on my arms. My husband will want to see this because he was in Vietnam in 1968. Thank you for such an uplifting experience. I agree FIVE STARS!
September 18th, 2007 at 12:16 pmIncredible. This really hits home.
September 18th, 2007 at 12:19 pmGreat theme, great music, fantastic sentiment. One problem I had was being able to read all the text because the color of the letters blended too well with the background. Could be because I’m viewing on a CRT monitor rather than a nice flatscreen. I’ll look at it again when I get home tonight.
Well done.

September 19th, 2007 at 2:40 amandre thanks for your comments.
There are some great organizations that do so much for our military. One that my family and I are currently receiving the benefit of incredible generosity since 22 August is, The Fisher House at Ft Bragg.
I could go on for hours about how wonderful these folks are!

God bless your family and especially your soldier.
What is your loved one’s name so I, we, could include it in our prayers?
Steve in NC
P.S. Excellent vid, remember there are many more than you know who appreciate the sacrifices being made by our brave troops.

September 20th, 2007 at 1:53 pmIt’s hard to get our civilian friends to really understand what we go through as a military family. I sent this video to my husband in Iraq. I know it was incredibly touching and meaningful to me, thank you!
September 21st, 2007 at 6:54 amFantastic I love it, thank you for making this video. God bless our troops and keep them safe.
September 21st, 2007 at 10:42 pmMike,
Excellent job! This slide show really hits home. I hope you don’t mind, but I posted this on myspace in hopes that the message you have portrayed will bring more compassion and understanding to those here at home about the sacrifices our men and women make every single day while fighting for our country. My son has been “in country” for approximately 14 months, stationed in Ramadi, Iraq and this video pulled at my heart strings. . . made me cry. We all need spread the word that not only do our service men and women deserve compassion and understanding, but they deserve our support and a heart felt “welcome home.” These brave men and women have given up their freedoms and their liberties, so that we may have ours. True heroes! So, when you all see our military personnel, please take the time to welcome them home.
September 22nd, 2007 at 6:56 amInspirational, moving. Thank you guys for all you do. More people appreciate what you are doing than you know.
September 23rd, 2007 at 12:01 pmMy youngest son just went to Iraq on 9/11/07.God Bless all our Men in uniform. Vietnam 68-69
September 23rd, 2007 at 6:00 pmJust beautiful. God Bless them all. I recently spoke with one of our heros at home. He is a member of The U.S. Air Force Auxiliary. What a special person. He was so happy to tell about all the good he, his wife and two sons, all do in sevice to this country and humanity. The reward for him was doing good and helping people. We can only aim in that direction with their example. And Hell, it’s so easy to love these folks. If you want to hear more about Mike and The Auxiliary check my blog.
September 25th, 2007 at 6:05 pmWhat a great video!!!
Good Job Dollard and whoever sent that in obviously knows what he’s editing.
There’s nothing like sleeping on the hood of a humvee on a hot Iraqi night.
September 27th, 2007 at 6:01 pmKudoes, Mike!
And the only thing harder than being a soldier … is being a patient and loyal civilian FOR the soldiers and their mission. Seems some civilians are falling way short these days.
G-d bless our troops and their CIC.
September 30th, 2007 at 6:50 pmOught to be shown in High School classrooms everywhere.
Well done, God Bless.
October 3rd, 2007 at 9:56 amGood job. Thank you.
October 5th, 2007 at 12:55 pmGreat video. I’ve been longing for some perspective of troops who have returned home.
October 7th, 2007 at 5:05 pmSaw this with another song someplace. I love it, and here is another good charity for patriots. www.homesforourtroops.org they make homes for disabled soldiers. I think it’s true about having compassion for them. To all vets and soldiers
October 11th, 2007 at 12:46 pmThanks for posting this video. Very poignant and meaningful.
October 21st, 2007 at 10:25 amTears roll down my face as I watch. I know full well how it feels as I fought in Desert Storm 1 and now burried a dear friend as he was killed in northern Bagdad. Soldiers you are to be saluted…I salute you and give thanks for your sacrifice every minute of every day!
