I used to be a fan of DePalma’s movies. Now it’s become apparent that his father should have stained the sheets instead of society.
However Bash, this is another brilliant, witty, and HILARIOUS submission on your part.
On a side note…I was the first caller on Chandler’s Watch. Nice talkin’ to you and keep it up.
September 19th, 2007 at 11:03 pmWell Bash, that piece of shit is officialy on my “Beat the fuck out of on first sight” list.
I can’t understand why this shit is being tolerated!
Turning on those that give their lives to protect us is THE worst thing an American can do, if you can even call fucks like him and those in congress Americans. These people are true cowards, they all need to deliver their “anti-troop” and “The war is lost” speaches infront of the very troops they are doing a great disservice to.
My anger grows by the day and I am looking forward to the concervative backlash that has to be soon to come.
To hell with all those who slander the troops!!!
There will be a special place in heaven for those that give their lives for the good of this Christian nation.
Thanks for the fuel for the fight Bash!
September 19th, 2007 at 11:33 pmVery good video, Bashman.
what a scumbag that De Palma is. Even admits he’s lying. Despicable…
September 19th, 2007 at 11:53 pmIt is obvious to me that the leftists (from top to bottom) are attacking the troops without consequence.
I only hope that fair minded Amercians see this as plain treason, that is exactly what it is.
Thanks for putting this piece of work into context Bash, good work.
September 20th, 2007 at 5:59 amGood vid. De Palma, like many artists, likes to straddle that fine line between art and propaganda as a matter of convenience. Deride his films and he will remind you that it is just art immitating reality. Applaud his films and he will quickly agree they (his films) are reality in the form of art.
September 20th, 2007 at 6:11 amExcellent video. Should be shown in all public and private schools, churches, Congress, the White House, brothels, internet cafes, movie theaters and public restrooms. (Tapping my foot in anticipation.)
September 20th, 2007 at 6:13 amYour best one so far Bash. sadly, nothging weill be done about treasonous bastards like DePalma. We can only wish that a long, drawn out cancer will afflict them so that they suffer relentlessly for their deeds.
September 20th, 2007 at 6:24 amOutstanding once again Bash !
September 20th, 2007 at 6:40 amWhen I first read of this & posted here on Pat’s site
That is the first thing that came to my mind
TREASON !!! Piece of shite ! I will never go see another one of his films again ,,I suggest we all do the same
DePalma is evil, no doubt. Just don’t forget about Mark Cuban who put up the money to make this treasonous “artistic” statement. Mark owns the Dallas Mavericks and a chain of movie theaters, I believe the Landmark Theater chain. If I am wrong someone please correct me.
September 20th, 2007 at 6:41 amGreat job Bash!! Let me know what you need to get things rolling.
Depalma is a joke
September 20th, 2007 at 7:35 amThanks Bash - I will never again see a De Palma film, wish I could do vids like this, but I cannot control the expletives that would race from my mouth. Say hey to Louie for me.
September 20th, 2007 at 8:52 amGreat vid Bash, got the point across perfectly, it seems pretty clear to me just like adam gaddahn this cunt should be tryed for exactly the reasons you quoted in article3, even though i’m not an American i know about that shit.!!
September 20th, 2007 at 8:53 amNo diiference between the 2 when it comes to what the enemy gains from their vids, hang em.!!
ok maybe another Cheers.!!
This is by far your best vid yet. What bugs me is how come most of us in here see this pig-fucker Depalma and Cuban for what they really are…and the libturds still keep making excuses for them?
These two traitors are playing the old Lt. Calley game that John Kerry played in VN. The end result will be the same if we don’t stop them now.
September 20th, 2007 at 9:03 amBASH YOU ROCK!!!! Very accurate presentation for the treasonist act by traitor (”someone who betrays his country by committing treason)DePalma. Per Wikipedia “The film is scheduled for a limited release in the U.S. in November 2007 and another limited release in the U.S. in late 2007. The producers feel it may be more successful in Europe than the United States.” Hummm… wonder why that is???
September 20th, 2007 at 9:05 amCheers Bash,
September 20th, 2007 at 9:18 amAfter watching your vid I will make a point of not seeing this rubbish by De Palma.
As you said a crime was committed, there is no doubt.
The men reponsible have been punished in law very severely.
So thats it…finish.
I question the REAL motivation behind the “write to your congressman” bullshit and DePalma’s muckraking here.
Same as the other idiot,Moore.
Another masterpiece Bash! This guy is nothing but a propagandist who takes elements of truth and spins them make our troops look like monsters. This man is truly a traitor and should be treated as such.
September 20th, 2007 at 9:23 amHey Drone…good to see you here. At least a person doesn’t have to contend with the BS and the keyboard Jihadists here like one does at LL.
September 20th, 2007 at 9:28 amPeople like Dipalma are oppertunists. They use the worst situation to line their pockets. They only see the 2% negative and exlpoit it. This will be one movie not see.
September 20th, 2007 at 10:11 amSadly, what DePalma is also exploiting is that Hanoi Jane didn’t get prosecuted for treason for posing on that gun. Bad precedent….
September 20th, 2007 at 12:15 pmBash. I have not seen the film yet. Anyone have a link? However, I will say this; I would like for someone to say to my face that I am a war criminal or a baby killer. The pussies that raped that little Iraqi girl then killed her and her family should have been executed immediatley. They were not soldiers, rather scum of the earth.
September 20th, 2007 at 12:57 pmthe very last quote of DePalma’s made my skin crawl. that is the same mentality of “my neighbor is a phedopile that diddles little boys, why shouldn’t I?” it’s too bad that were he is from, hollywood, there are so many liberal fucks that they will jump on this asshats bandwagon. I can already see Sean Penn on his knees.
as for the one bullet 3 subject question. can I line them all up and go for a triple head shot? Kinda like a kill two birds with one stone type thing
September 20th, 2007 at 1:06 pm@Samuel!
Hey bro. I haven’t seen the film, it isn’t really out yet except for some film festivals, but you’ll notice I only really addressed De Palma’s COMMENTS ABOUT THE FILM.
He stated everything I needed to know:
1. That he had criticized the troops with this film (1:21). And given his track record, it’s completely on the mark to call him anti-troop.
2. That his intention in making this film was to spur people to action, politically (1:54-2:14). Out and out declaration that this film is political propaganda.
So I only addressed what he SAID (and he IS the filmmaker) about his film.
Samuel, he would spit on you without even trying to find out where you stood politically, simply because you put on a uniform, bro.
September 20th, 2007 at 1:15 pmNicely done. Lucky for me, I can watch films of all types and always realize the eye of the camera belongs to someone with an opinion. Don’t know if I’d have wanted to see the film anyway. DePalma (and Stone, for that matter),deal in “over the top” images that often make for visceral, yet at the same time, strangely emotionally empty film experiences.
September 20th, 2007 at 1:38 pmI used to love both of ‘em. Now I think the only one of that class staying relevant appears to be Scorcese.
Speaking of technical film making….this to me by far is your best. The quick cut audio during the subtitles was a particularly good touch.
Peace….Mickee.
brian dudpalma truly the asswipe of asswipes, mark cuban does own the landmark theatre chain but i can’t figure him out as he started the fallen patriot fund, paul greengrass is another liberal buttwad who has his own agenda aswell
September 20th, 2007 at 2:18 pmBased on his anti America stance i’d be willing to bet theres an Oscar in his future, that seems to be the trend.
September 20th, 2007 at 2:45 pmNailed ‘em Bash! The motives of DePalma and Cuban are vile. Fits the definition of treason for me. I really would like to see something done about it.
September 20th, 2007 at 3:51 pmAhhh! The Tourette’s syndrome that is Hollywood.
Phil Spector is on trial for murder … I guess, using DePalma’s reasoning, THAT IS the REALITY of what is going on in Hollywood. …
Wait … It just might be …
September 20th, 2007 at 4:12 pmgood vid bro, keep up the good work i always love your vids.
September 20th, 2007 at 4:38 pmNo “Fincklesteen shit kid” Sonofabitch Great vid Bash
September 20th, 2007 at 4:58 pmHey nice vid! I seached the movie you were talking about. I couldnt find it. Send me a link if you can. Yeah Ive seen some documentaries that kinda do the same thing putting a propaganda like message. Loose Change is one.
September 20th, 2007 at 6:01 pmhttp://doctor-horsefeathers.com/archives2/cat_culture.php
“As a Navy psychiatrist during the Vietnam war, one of his weekly duties was interviewing and assessing potential draftees who were seeking to avoid service by claiming mental illness. Many of these were recent Ivy League graduates, students of the humanities, who were active protesters of what they insisted was an immoral war.”
“I realized I was observing cowardice masquerading as idealism”

September 20th, 2007 at 6:11 pmAwww don’t hold back, say what you feel seriously, I have never seen an of his movies, adn now I NEVER will. I was shocked, when I heard of that case, but I was so glad they got punished. The majority of our soldiers are truly decent people, which is boring, which is why they do not make the news. A variation of if it bleeds it leads I want any soldiers on this site to know that I support them fully
September 20th, 2007 at 6:37 pmHey Bash,..sorry it took so long to get back with ya,..man brother you are so spot on with this,..God Bless all you troops that might read this,..I personally support you guys with all my heart!!Stay safe and come home all of you!!When the time is right,..and not anytime sooner or later,..but when
September 20th, 2007 at 7:43 pmmission completed!! I salute you all,..from an old soldier myself! I don’t know much about this producer,.but he sounds like he is using the shock and grab make a quick profit off of our troops by dissing them,..its bad enough when common people make internet vids about this kind of action,..but a complete movie,..this is way out of line! Thanks for calling this scum out!,.hopefully the big movie executives will see this too,..and put aside the money ,..and see the damage this will cause,…..Rock on Bud!! I always love your vids man,..true and well presented facts,..Thanks and Post On brother!! I don’t remember if I said it already,..but that was a great radio interview too,..peace Bash!! And Pat,..thanks for your cool site too,and service!!..rock on guys!! Peace KingL
Bashman…
You don’t makeum up…just callum like you see it!
Spot On!
Peace!
September 20th, 2007 at 8:24 pmDan2
Vietnam veterans will recognize what DePalma was doing. The only difference between DePalma’s attack on our troops and F’n Kerry’s testimony about the so-called atrocities being routinely committed by our troops, is that Kerry was testifying under oath before a set-up Senate Committee and DePalma made a movie. Both aid the enemy in a time of war and thereby hurt our troops. DePalma also made the exact same movie about Vietnam, called Casualties of War. Hopefully, “Redacted” will be just as effective. Self-respecting Americans will shun this movie like the plague for the enemy propaganda film that it is.
September 20th, 2007 at 9:18 pmExcellent work BAshman. Finally someone puts together a piece that spells it out for the Treasonous left. Now if the lefties could only remove their collective head from their fat posterior’s then they might comprehend the simple poetic virtues of the message that you are trying to convey.
September 20th, 2007 at 9:28 pmHey Bashman! Whats up? For the record, almost everthing this guy makes nuasiates me. Besides, isn’t it a little late to get your Congressman to vote against the war? Oh well. You know Bashman, THIS is the price for freedom. That is, we have to put up with bullshit like this.
September 21st, 2007 at 12:01 amGod help us all if these people get their way. They’ll look back at their mistakes on the way to their local MOSQUE. That is, if they haven’t benn shot by the very people they defend with their behavior.
Later,
Philo
P.s. I’ll be checking pat Dollard out on a regular basis now, Thanx.
Let’s see, someone else lied so now I can lie. What’s that old saw about two wrongs, or something? The guy is a sociopath.
September 22nd, 2007 at 11:29 amBashman great video like always now I’m even more pissed off at that damn fool.
September 23rd, 2007 at 1:18 amWell let’s see, there’s wheezing neo-marxist sticksmokers ala De Palma with his elitist sycophants of Hollywood…And then there’s real honest to God American men & women putting their lives on the line every day busily eliminating the latest iteration of fascism to ooze out of the old world.
Somehow I suspect the leftist pricks will end up ‘redacting’ themselves…With a little help from our friends.
http://www.militarytimes.com/multimedia/video/rpg_surgery/
September 23rd, 2007 at 2:09 amWhat a scumbag putting that out in time of war.Hell putting it out anytime. They should deffinately get his ass for treason. That’s some great research there Bash,I knew nothing of this guy now I’ll remember his name, and fuck him.
September 23rd, 2007 at 8:24 amSo what happened to louie?Did he taste good.lol
September 23rd, 2007 at 8:28 amKeep up the good work Bashman! Let us keep the heat on these morons, like DePalma and Penn!
September 23rd, 2007 at 2:42 pmTypical Hollywood bullshit. When you don’t have a story or a moral point to make, you resort to…COURAGE!
“Courage” in Hollywood isn’t putting your life on the line, not even your reputation. You just drop a crucifix in a jar of piss and you got ART. Make a chocolate Jesus and you’re in the museum of fine art. Piss off and offend a bunch of people who don’t resort to murder, and it’s all okay.
Just don’t offend the fucking Muzzies.
But, by all means, insult and offend the 82nd Airborne or the Marines, because we all know they aren’t allowed to come after your worthless ass and blow you away.
DePalma is a worthless piece of cowardly dogshit. May he die of pancreatic cancer beneath the wheels of a garbage truck.
This movie will tank. Count on it.
October 23rd, 2007 at 7:14 pmI have read all you’re comments and …. interesting is all I can really say. I wish you guys would actually watch the movie, maybe then you would see that it shows all sides of the problem. The movie made sure not to depict soldiers as shitbags. I know because I was there on set. So were a whole handful of U.S. Military advisors. I also did my tour 04-05 and going back 07-08. Actually, I wouldn’t have made that movie if it spoke about soldiers that way. The title itself means to edit. Like the 9/11 reports were edited with a black line through certain names and dates. Brian IS FOR the soldiers, hands down. He is NOT FOR the war and all the BULLSHIT MEDIA that surrounds it. I’m not a liberal or a leftist. I’m a Staff SGT of the US ARMY who has a brother in the 2/8 Marine corp., who’s family has been doin this for a very long time. I hate to tell ya, there are a lot of soldiers who are writing books about this war and all the things that are going on. You can pick them up or see them on TV soon. Soldiers against the war, Recon Marines against the war, Rangers, Seals, Spec Ops, list is going on and on….. maybe we should take another look at that movie because I promise you, I would never let them degrade the U.S. Troops. But I do thank you for standing by your brothers against supposed threats. Thanks for letting me say something.
November 2nd, 2007 at 2:57 amThis is an interesting video.
I don’t think the question is wether this movie is an act of treason or not though (it may very well be), but wether or not this act of treason is justified by the course of events that is taking place in Iraq.
Now I haven’t seen the film, but here’s what I guess the reaction of people oustide America will be once they have seen it. (I’m not American by the way). You’re saying “they will feel justified in taking up arms and seeking vengeance”. Well you may be right. But the tragedy is MOST OF THE WORLD ALREADY HATES AMERICA ! And the jihadist radicals won’t wait to see this movie to be willing to harm innocent Americans as well as American soldiers. And the anti-America Europeans won’t take up arms, they will only say “I wish the Americans stop this war” and go back to their every-day lives.
Now why does most of the world hate you ? (Before I g on, let me insure you I have absolutely nothing against America. I mean you saved my continent from Hitler, your country and mine share the very same values. Our ways of life are not different at all. It wouldn’t make sense to despise you.) But those people feel as if you were hegemonic bastards (forgive the word) trying to impose their will on the whole world.
That’s the way they see things, and Brian de Palma can make whatever movies he wants, that won’t change anything.
If Brian de Palma had made a pro-war film, those people would have said : “this is not what is happening in Iraq”.
I’m quite pessimistic about the ability movies have to change the world.
Oh and by the way, by the definition you give of “propaganda”, you’re making propaganda too
November 3rd, 2007 at 3:32 pmTo Pierre, You may be right about the propogada, but you must admit, burying your head in the sand and let groups that want to destroy you as a European or Canadian or Isreali is exactly what Chamberlain did before WWII. DePalma would not have made this film if a Democrat was in office, because his side can do no wrong. His side complains of losing the right to free speech, I have never heard anything as vile and repulsive as I have heard from the left in the last six years, with no let up or loss of his or anyone elses civil liberties on the left.
November 6th, 2007 at 9:14 pmAny stanch conservative speaking on college campuses are drowned out by brainwashed liberals. ON MOST CAMPUSES ONLY HATE FILLED, ANTI-AMERICANS are allowed to give lectures , or invited guests like the President of Iran are invited.
There is only on reason that this going on,GW Bush is president and the left hates it so much, that they are willing to take this country down to take control.
Well now we know the leftists quacks monitor this site, its a shame they havent learned anything from it yet though. Read the posts and let them sink in, we’re going to win this war.
Great video as always Bash, you making it on the Redacted site has now made you my hero
November 7th, 2007 at 6:45 amI am an american soldier, and I swear to God I love this country more than anything else, and would gladly give my life in its defense……but I have to ask myself why I do what I continue to do and have done so for going on 8 years now when it is starting to seem like the majority of america hates us……..I hope the makers of this film and everyone that had anything remotely to do with it come down with a severe case of herpes, and get a one way ticket to iraq or afghanistan…..i dont care which. Since they hate this country so much, maybe they would be happier over there.
November 12th, 2007 at 5:47 pmPERFECT BASH!!! THAT FUCKING DIRT BALL DE PALMA SHOULD BE SENT TO HELL ALONG WITH MARK G.BOTH SLIMEBALL THAT ARE TAKING UP PRECIOUS SPACE ON OUR EARTH.
November 12th, 2007 at 6:28 pmHOPE THEY BOTH ROT IN HELL !!!! BTW..I’D FAN THE FLAME’S !
OUR TROOP’S ARE DIEING FOR LOWLIFE PRICK’S LIKE THIS SO THEY CAN SPEW THEIR HATE FOR OUR COUNTRY.!!! “BRAVO ” BASH !!
I won’t judge a film I haven’t seen.
But…
If it is slanted to generate hatred of the troops I will stand up and walk out of it, loudly demanding my money back and making a scene.
I support the Troops. I listen to them too.
Scroll back and read the post of Mike Figgzz.
So far everyone has ignored him.
Is the real Message ’support the troops only as long as they agree with us?’
November 15th, 2007 at 9:34 amYour argument was reasonable at the beginning of your video and turned pathetic when you explained your reason for De Palma committing treason.
November 16th, 2007 at 12:34 amgreat vid man. that old fuck is a total douche bag. Ive already signed up to boycot the film. i would love to see our government go after that old fart and tear him up in court for treason.
November 16th, 2007 at 3:04 amTo Dave,
We won’t forget our history (Chamberlain and Munich), please don’t forget yours (Vietnam). And speaking of the risk for Israel and our civilisation to be attacked (or destroyed), please don’t forget that our biggest ennemy is Iran, and it’s getting stronger and stronger as Iraq weakens. (That’s why Iran gives weapons to terrorists in Iraq).
Now your army is THE BEST in the world, and there is absolutely NO DOUBT about that. And if it were only about winning on the battlefield, your soldiers would probably already back home. But you don’t fight an ideology with weapons (especially when this ideology feeds on hatred). You can’t solve a religious and economical crisis militarily.
The question is not wether or not it was right to invade Iraq (it has had very good consequences, such as destituting Sadam Hussein). The question is : what are you going to do now ? You know it will take months (possibly years) before Iraq is stable. And as much as I hope Iraq gets there, I’m convinced this war will be over BEFORE you win. (Blame the democrates if you want, but they’re not the only ones that are guilty - the fact is your president thought he could leave the troops there till a democratic government was up and running, which shows very little understanding of the situation in the region).
Now, about freedom of speech, I think it is extremely important for you to have a discussion such as the one Redacted seems to trigger. The question being : is what you’re doing worth it ? Is the war going to save Iraq or destroy its people ? What image of America is this war giving ?
Finally, I have to admit you’re right about freedom of speech. It’s true we don’t hear many Republicans outside hit television show 24. Movies seem to be more and more anti-war. But you had your chance with movies like The 300, and I hear your political shows and analysis are held by Republicans. I don’t know. (I’m not American).
