Axis Of Evil: Syria And North Korea Hold Summit

September 21st, 2007 Posted By Pat Dollard.

No, they’re not working together on a Nuke program. Kim Jong Il’s immediate and out of the blue condemnation of Israel’s raid into Syria, before anyone said anything about North Korea being involved with Syria, and charges that North Korea is giving nuclear material to Syria, and now this summit, are all just a series of coincidences, and have nothing to do with Korea handing off whatever it can of its nuclear material and technology before it shuts its program down. No way, why would that be happening? Nah.

Report:

North Korea and Syria held high-level talks Friday in Pyongyang, the North’s state media reported, amid suspicions that the two countries might be cooperating on a nuclear weapons program.

The talks took place between Choe Tae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the North’s ruling Workers’ Party, and Saaeed Eleia Dawood, director of the organizational department of Syria’s Baath Arab Socialist Party, the official Korean Central News Agency reported.

The talks were aimed at the vague and undefined goal of “strengthening ties”. Beyond that the two countries only further added, “we discusssed friendship and cooperation”.

Coincidentally their meeting came amid suspicions that North Korea may be providing nuclear assistance to Syria, a charge both Pyongyang and Damascus deny.

The allegations arose after an alleged Israeli air raid earlier this month on unknown Syrian targets possibly connected to a weapons program.

Andrew Semmel, acting US deputy assistant secretary of state for nuclear nonproliferation policy, said last week that North Koreans were in Syria, and that Syria may have had contacts with “secret suppliers” to obtain nuclear equipment.

He said that North Koreans were in Syria and that he could not exclude the possibility that the network run by the disgraced Pakistan nuclear scientist AQ Khan may have been involved.

No doubt AQ Khan is somewhere near abouts; wandering between the worker’s paradise that is NK (cough) and the Islamic worker’s paradise that is Syria and Iran(cough).

Syria is palying with fire. No way Israel is going to let them have nukes. Too late to dig bunkers Ass-ad.

Love the NK pronouncements. The hits just never stop from the “Dear Leader” do they (cough, cough)?

  2. Bashman

They aren’t meeting about nukes. Nukes aren’t on their agenda. Nope. Iran didn’t promise Syria a billion dollars in military spending aid and all the help they needed in getting their nuke program up and running if they simply refused to enter into peace talks with Israel.

    Nope.

E-mail me if you are interested in buyinig the Golden Gate Bridge. I have decided to finally sell…cheap, too.

Perhaps the AQ Khan network is helping Syria with starting a weapons program and since Dear Leader is now playing ball amid the six-party talks, what is to say they are not arranging a transfer of material NK didn’t disclose to the IAEA. No reason to waste a good centrifuge! I’d keep a sharp eye on any shipment originating in NK for the foreseeable future. Dirty Cognac Drinking Midget.

perhaps the explosion we read about at a Syrian missile facility that killed officers and dozens of iranian “scientists” was really the aftermath of the Israeli airstrike.

A summit, I’m supposed to take that seriously
