Al Qaeda’s Anti-Cop Offensive Hits Kurdistan

Kirkuk, Sept 26, (VOI)- An Iraqi police officer was killed and three policemen wounded on Wednesday as roadside bomb exploded near their patrol near Kirkuk, a police source said.

“A police officer was killed and three policemen were wounded as a roadside bomb detonated near their patrol vehicle in Hawija district on Wednesday evening,” the source, who requested anonymity, told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).

Hawija district is 70 km southwest of Kirkuk city which lies 250 km northeast of Baghdad.
