Politico:

Just a week after wife Hillary’s tour de force of all five major Sunday talk shows, former President Bill Clinton returns to the spotlight Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and ABC’s “This Week.”

Clinton is on a press tour promoting his Global Initiative and has not been shy in taking on Republicans critical of his wife, who’s seeking to bring him back to the White House.

Just how much news will he make?

“Meet the Press” host Tim Russert also leads a political round table on the week’s events with The Washington Post’s Dan Balz, Republican pundit Pat Buchanan, NBC’s David Gregory and PBS’ Tavis Smiley.

On “This Week,” it’ll be an old-fashioned White House reunion, with Clinton sitting down with his former adviser, host George Stephanopoulos.

And for the other side, Stephanopoulos turns to Clinton’s old nemesis, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.).

Gingrich, who has been flirting with a presidential run of his own, has made it clear that he must raise $30 million by Oct. 21 to even consider entering the race.

Will he use his Sunday appearance to blast the Clintons, or appeal for donations? Or both?

Finally, Stephanopoulos leads a political roundtable with ABC’s Torie Clark, Donna Brazile and columnist George Will.

“Fox News Sunday” leads with a face-off over children’s health care here at home and the war in Iraq, featuring two of the Senate’s smoothest operators, Democrat Charles Schumer of New York and Republican Trent Lott of Mississippi.

CNN’s “Late Edition” anchors its show with a discussion on the Iraq war with Missouri Sen. Kit Bond, the top Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee, and Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), another committee member.

Host Wolf Blitzer also interviews Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.

Moving next door to discuss Iran, Blitzer also welcomes journalist Seymour Hersh of The New Yorker, who has written extensively about the war in Iraq – and broader regional issues.

Will the muckraker offer a sneak peek at his next expose?

Finally, C-SPAN’s “Newsmakers” rounds out the morning with an interview of the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Zalmay Khalilzad.

Khalilzad, who was the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, will dissect a busy week at the United Nations, which featured a summit on climate change and a visit from Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The ambassador will be questioned by Gerard Baker of The Times of London and Warren Strobel of McClatchy Newspapers.

Does he seriously have arthritis? If not, at very least it looks like what I always imagined Death’s hands to look like. A bit early for Halloween….

John Gotti, rest his soul, has nothing on that Clingon Criminal Willy Bly’e. So far as I know Gotti never sold State Secrets to an enemy army.

If it isn’t him, it’s her!!
It’s enough to make the worse atheist get out to church on Sunday rather than spend another morning with the Clenises!
