AP: Osama Can Only Recruit “A Few” Muslims

I guess the wars in Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Somalia, Algeria, etc. will all be over soon, then.

From the AP’s main Osama Video story today:

“Whether the video will resonate on the Arab or Muslim street is not at all clear…most people voiced disgust with bin Laden’s latest message.

“This man (Osama) has nothing to do with religion,” Saad Ubo Mustafa, a local resident in Baghdad, told AP television news. “He is killing Sunnis, Shiites, Kurds, Christians, Jews and foreign people. Islam has got nothing to do with such kinds of people.”

Added another man, Abu Basheer: “This man lives in prehistoric times. No one should pay attention or listen to him.”

But even if the tape produces outrage or revulsion in most people, history shows that some will listen to what bin Laden has to say, and a few may even be moved to join him.”

So don’t be thinking many Muslims would join the Jihad, okay now?

I actually agree with the AP on this one. The War in Iraq has shown the “Arab street” just what the face of terrorism is. As long as it was Israeli, US, Western, or even Muslims in far flung lands that were feeling the effects of terrorism up close it was OK. But the Terrorist in Iraq have driven home to the average Arab just what terrorism is and why they must be defeated.

The horrors and needless slaughter of fellow Muslims for no purpose but to make the Infidel morning news blip by AQ after 5yrs could fill volumes of books. Everyone in Iraq Sunni, Kurd, Shia, Christian, all have one shared aspect that they have all felt or have family maimed, killed, terrorized by AQ.

The US may not be winning hearts and minds in the ME after all we will always be Infidels, but AQ has lost the hearts and minds so much that even the Infidels are starting to look not so bad. When Aljizz started running articles proclaiming AQ & Zarkawi specifically were Mossad or CIA plants back in late 05′ I knew AQ was in trouble.

I think we’ve killed most of the crazy ones. All that’s left are the dumb ones. And the Democratic Party of course.

Unfortunately the right radical at the right time can produce catastrophic results.

Sooner or later Osama, even God will tire of you.

Just picked this dilly up. Check it out.

“…the Shafi’i school of Islamic jurisprudence forbids men and women to dye their hair black “except when the intention is jihad…as a show of strength to unbelievers” (’Umdat al-Salik e.4.4). OBL is not a member of the Shafi’i school; the Wahhabis adhere to the Hanbali school, and the Deobandis (the dominant sect among the Taliban) are Hanafis. But this is not just a Shafi’i view: Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, in his internationally influential The Lawful and the Prohibited in Islam, says essentially the same thing: “Some of the early Muslims, including some sahabah [companions of Muhammad] such as Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas, ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Amr, al-Hassan, al-Hussein, Jarir, and others permitted the use of black dye. Some scholars, on the other hand, do not consider the use of black dye as permissible except during time of war, when the enemy might be impressed by the fact that all the soldiers of the Muslim army look young.”

Does Osama’s dye job mean that he is going to participate personally in jihad warfare? Not necessarily. But it could be another signal that an attack is imminent.

Meanwhile, the TV talking heads will continue to tut-tut about Osama’s vanity, and remain utterly clueless about what is most likely really going on here.

One more. “There Are No Taxes In Islam”. Oh really?

“There are no taxes in Islam, but rather there is a limited Zakaat [alms] totaling 2.5 percent. So beware of the deception of those with the capital. And with your earnest reading about Islam from its pristine sources, you will arrive at an important truth, which is that the religion of all of the Prophets (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them) is one, and that its essence is submission to the orders of Allah Alone in all aspects of life, even if their Shari’ahs [Laws] differ.” — from the speech of Osama Bin Laden

In the crazy hodge-podge that makes up his Invitation to Islam (to be followed by an Invitation to a Beheading) Osama Bin Laden has decided to appeal to the low-tax voters, liberatarians, ronpaulites, admirers of dinesh d’souza. Bizarre, of course.

Muslims traditionally have lived off the non-Muslims in the lands they conquered. Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians, Hindus paid the Jizyah. In India after tens of millions of Hindus had been killed, the Mughal rulers ceased to engage in such wholesale slaughter. And also, once they had a sufficient local population of Hindus who had been forcibly converted — out of fear, out of a desire to avoid the miserable condition of dhimmi (or zimmi) — they allowed the Hindus to be treated as if they were People of the Book, and remain alive so long as they fulfilled the duties of a dhimmi. In that way the Muslim rulers could continue to live on the Jizyah paid by these “zimmis.” “

Nice take on that Dan (the infidel)
Back in the Golden Age of Islamic conquest, they used the same tactic of minimal taxes after besieging a Western city of village. Of course the first option was resist and you will be slaughtered, or covert and we will tax you minimally, if at all. Since most of Europe was of a medieval nature and the state, with its tax collectors most in a uniform version of poverty, ie serfs of the state, many of the lands in the east and southern Europe gave up without a fight to the numerically inferior Muslim forces. In fact in some locations, so many Christians disapeared that the Muslim administrators were complaining of lack of revenues (parasitic historical nature of Mohammed) to be extracted from infidels (who took the brunt of the taxation). So the carrot offered by Bin Laden, the 2% tax was thought by many to be a comical tibit is in fact a tactic of historical reference that worked so well in the past. Funny how history repeats itself. The Europeans cut and ran once before, and seem to be doing so again.

    By Scott Ott (2007-09-07)

Just hours after the release of al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden’s latest video message inviting all Americans to convert to Islam, U.S. President George said he would “seriously consider the offer, because it sure would simplify the war in Iraq.”

“If I convert to Islam and order all of our troops to do the same,” said Mr. Bush, “we can stay in Iraq indefinitely, drop the restrictive rules of engagement, save a lot of money by using cheap, unguided bombs, clear neighborhoods flat out, blow up mosques with impunity and still go to heaven — not to mention that I’d get more favorable coverage from the U.S. news media.”

The president added that he might convert to Islam just to “find out what it’s like to be a man who wears a dress and a bonnet and dyes his hair like a girl.”

Osama is right, aside from zakkat which is taken willingly from muslims, the jizya “tax” exacted on non-muslims, isnt a tax at all. Rather, it is extortion. Coupled with this the unbeliever is discriminated against and abused frequently but always given the opportunity to “convert” in order to have his human rights restored.

this extortion is contained in the veiled threat made by muhammed to the meccans before he slaughtered them: “Just say , that there is no God But Allah and that I am his prophet and you will have peace” meaning :

if you become a muslim , i wont kill you nor will I abuse you and force you to pay me extra “taxes” er , money…

YOu know who used this method in the early days of the US and likely before it back in their home country?

The Mafia, in this case the Italian mafia, they would go to local business and threaten death or a sever beating if they didnt pay them a certain amount of “protection”. this is why they refer to the Jizya as the “protective” tax.

who are you protected from? why, the muslims of course. If you break their agreement which heavily disfavors the unbeliever , then your life and property are free to be taken by the believers. isnt this special?
