Clashes As Anti-Victory Protesters Use Iraq War Dead As Poltical Tools
WASHINGTON - Thousands of opponents and supporters of the U.S. presence in Iraq converged Saturday in Washington for a day of demonstrations.
Things often came close to blows as paricipants in the Gathering of Eagles demonstration taunted anti-war protesters wearing bloody military uniforms and mimicking dead soldiers.
The anti-war ANSWER Coalition held a rally at Lafayette Square holding signs and wearing t-shirts bearing slogans that made their message clear. One man was wearing a shirt with only one bold word on it, “Impeach.”
“End the war now,’’ declared the signs of placard-toting protesters. “Peace Now,’’ chanted some. And still others stood silent by a flag-draped coffin, with combat boots atop it.
The American flag above the casket, flying upside down, flapped in the stiff breeze of the most spectacular fall-like day the capital has seen in this fifth September of the war in Iraq.
The large crowd was shouting, “The people united will end this war.”
“The arrogant policies of the surge are trespassing and illegal as the war itself,” a speaker atop the rally platform in Lafayette Square told a crowd toting various signs reading, “End the War Now… Troops Out Now and Impeach Bush… The World Can’t Wait… Drive out the Bush Regime.’’
The protesters spoke of the war as something other than the ideological struggle of the 21st Century.
“End the occupation, bring the troops home now,’’ a rally spokesman said. “Keep the faith. Keep up the struggle.’’
The mass of protesters filled most of Lafayette Park, and spilled into Pennsylvania Avenue in front of from the White House.
At the rally anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan said that protesting was no longer enough, saying that those against the war should shut down college campuses and federal buildings in order to get their opinions heard.
Former U.S. Attorney Ramsey Clark echoed the sentiments of some of the signs and t-shirts being displayed at the rally by calling for the impeachment of both the president and the vice president.
Former Presidential candidate Ralph Nader blasted congress for not cutting off the war funding, calling them “spineless” and “gutless.”
As the protesters made their way to the Capitol the counter-protesters lined the streets taunting the protesters as they made their way for their planned “die-in.” Several of the marching protesters were disguised as caricatures of the president and vice president.
At least seven protesters were arrested in the first wave of demonstrators who marched to the Capitol demanding an end to the Iraq war.
U.S. Capitol Police arrested the protesters after they jumped a waist-high barricade near the base of the Capitol. Nearly 100 officers are standing guard — some in riot gear. The protesters were arrested without a struggle.
The counter-protesters held their own rally several blocks away near the Washington Monument. The two rallies remained relatively peaceful, with the exception of some shoving between the two groups that was quickly taken care of by the police.
The counter-protesters called their rally The Gathering of the Eagles, and was comprised of many Vietnam War veterans.
“We just want to remind people that freedom of speech is not really free, and that people had to pay to protect that right,” said one man at the counter-protest. “And were here to show that there is another point of view.”
Congressman Duncan Hunter, a GOP presidential hopeful, made a surprise visit to the counter-protest. He said “it’s for this generation that we will win this war on terror.”
WTOP and The Associated Press.
How about a T-shirt or banner that says “THE 60s ARE OVER! GET YOU ASS BACK TO SCHOOL! GET A REAL FUCKING JOB! GET OUT OF YOUR PARENTS’ BASEMENT!” and “WHY PRETEND TO GET YOUR POINT ACROSS? REALLY DIE!”
These idiots are too thick inside their own skull mush to realize this ain’t gonna work on the American people:
1) learned from the Vietnam protests how ugly these types were/are
2) saw what it did to our troops coming home and will not let that shit happen again
3) inside, most level-headed Americans KNOW the terrorist threat
4) the American public WILL NOT put up with radical bullshit on college campuses and federal properties … NOT ON OUR FUCKING DOLLAR!
Bombs away, Dream Babies!
September 15th, 2007 at 4:51 pmYou see, the point is, Cindy Sheehan- we can’t help but hear your opinions since you and your ilk have the old media in thrall. The trick is that your opinion is ill-informed so we have no interest in what you say. Your way is the path to dhimmitude and we don’t want to go there- either for ourselves or our children.
To propose to close college campuses down to get your point heard serves to define what an archaiac dinosaur you and your cronies are: no one on college campuses cares. There isn’t a draft for cowards like you and your buddies to run from so there is no passion on college campuses to ignite. They don’t care about you, other burned-out acid heads from the 60’s or the loons from MoveOn or Daily Kos. Your era is over: take your Social Security check, get your Medicare card, sit on the porch, and be quiet! Let us get on with the job at hand: defeating Islamic Fascism…the real enemy, you doofus.
September 15th, 2007 at 4:53 pmBoy they sure do enjoy their freedom of speech….
September 15th, 2007 at 4:54 pmdid anyone see the march of the thousands of troops in the field??? or the millions of family members marching to work??? or the millions of iraqis in funeral processions for their loved ones slaughtered by the democrats of alqueda?? or the 22,000 new recruits marching into and out of recruiting offices last month??? proof that the national guard are poorly trained when only 4 were killed at kent state,,,
September 15th, 2007 at 5:03 pmI love free speech, but I hope they realise who is protecting their free speech, and it ain’t moveon.org.
September 15th, 2007 at 5:08 pmdad 3/7 -
Did you know that a very large number of those who protested that May day at Kent State University were … wait for it … BUSSED IN, from the east coast and the west coast?!?! They weren’t even university students!!! They were fucking commie groups invading the campus. The agerave person who doesn’t digest the news, but only nibbles on it thinks this was done by the KSU student population in total … And this is what is happening today in D.C. … Professional protesters. They have NO OTHER purpose in life than this shit. They don’t produce anything. They don’t contribute anything. They just tear down and disrupt. Cockroaches have a higher purpose on this planet.
September 15th, 2007 at 5:16 pmi live in a small college town,, in ‘70 when i came back fm viet nam there was this big demonstration on campus and through the town. it made me sick to my stomach and a true hatred towards them people started to fester.. then a couple of years ago there was another demonstration on campus and through the town.. i stood with a small group of college kids that were in the national guard just before they deployed.. the anti troop group were the same people.. i couldn’t believe it…carrying the same signs(they must have saved them for 33yrs)..1 came up to me and tried to hand me a flier and i knocked it out of his hand and went off on him,, he turned me into the police and i got talked to by my best friend that is a police capt.. the next week there were 3 cop cars near us as the assholes did there walk to VETERANS PARK, no less… we walked down to the park and took it back fm em.. the ran off…proud dad of 2OIF vets with one still in combat zone..
September 15th, 2007 at 5:33 pmG-d bless, dad … and Your sons too.
September 15th, 2007 at 5:40 pmI guess in a way, you have to feel sorry for them since this is the best their life has to offer… How sad…
September 15th, 2007 at 5:46 pmIt is not a question of war or peace… it is a question of war or slavery. The world of Islam has been emboldened by nearly 30-years of neglect and they thing that is their devine right to rule us. George Bush was the first president with the balls to fight them… will there ever be another?

September 15th, 2007 at 6:01 pmThe jackals are out again “speaking martian” and doing absolutely nothing for their cause (like they have a cause). Verbal beratement is their weopen of choice with sarcasm flowing freely from the peanut gallery.
What ever happened to “You can catch more flys with honey than you can with vinegar”
The problem is…Its an I hate bush party under the guise of an anti-war protest…With that in mind you can see why they can’t get their message across, watching it from afar is like hearing an out of tune guitar
That whole fucked up group would make more sence if they did nothing else but march holding their middle finger in the air…but instead you have a smorgashborg of fools who just have to vent with no idea on how the issues really effect them…. shhh, that is because its nothing more than a dumbacrat rally
September 15th, 2007 at 6:02 pmI got a old hippie protester story for you. In 1972, our school would invite special speakers to come in and talk to the seniors in my HS. Motivational stuff mostly, but political stuff also. Two of the speakers that year were John Kerry and John O’Neil both of whom delivered speeches to our entire school at assembly. Afterwards both were invited to speak to the seniors one-on-one. O’Neil declined, and sent a substitute(he sucked) and Kerry showed up by himself. I got 5 friends of mine to refuse to go into the classroom to hear Kerry. When Kerry heard that, he pusuaded them one by one to go into the classroom, leading them like little sheep into the slaughterhouse. Then he tried that shit with me. I slapped his hand away and he asked me why? I told him because he lied to the Congress, and you’re a mother-fucking traitor.
Not too shabby for a 17-yr old kid huh? John Kerry still thinks he’s smarter than everyone else. But a 17-yr old kid
figured out he was a liar and called him out in front of the entire senior class.
Homey don’t play that anti-war shit. And Kerry is still a dumbshit.
September 15th, 2007 at 6:04 pmAnd PS. Some of the guys and gals from “Dollard Nation” are there. Kudos to them.
September 15th, 2007 at 6:06 pmThey look like a circus. They need to do something better with their lives

September 15th, 2007 at 6:11 pmDan- who was there? We want pictures!
If I had gone I’d of ended up in jail seeing the flag upside down. Crap I should’ve called off work to go, we wanted to!
September 15th, 2007 at 6:18 pmDan you were ahead of your time brother, and at that time it was a cultural statement to be anti-war. It gained most of its popularity because of its association with sex and drugs, go figure.
September 15th, 2007 at 6:21 pmI was very little but I remember the “Make love not war” and “Turn on, tune in, drop out”. That generation did more to fuck us up than the generation they were fighting against.

These are pics from todays rally. If you want to see some bigtime freaks, but there are some of our own pictured there too. Scroll down through the pics and take note of the commie signs.

September 15th, 2007 at 6:43 pmI am a military veteran and a democrat. I tire of Republican yuppies who think they have a monopoloy on “The Troops”. If there was a draft, the young cowardly Republican yuppies would become the hippies of today. You lead your pampered sheltered lives with mommy and daddy paying your way through college however few of you actually have the guts to sign up and put your money where your mouth is. I wish they would start a draft just to see how quickly this war would be brought to a screeching halt once young Republican Yuppy Cowards would be put in harm’s way. Just look at your leaders, all Chicken Hawks (Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld)… give me a break. And when some of you republican’s do serve you are usually in the tops spots(officers) out of harms way while letting the poor enlisted folks like myself do the real work.
September 15th, 2007 at 6:58 pmInfidel:
Notice the names missing here tonight? Some of them are at the rally. No doubt they will be filling us in with their reports in the AM or Monday. Can’t wait to hear them. My only question is did they get to talk to Michele Malkin.
Jim: All I had when I was 17 was a love of country and the ability to smell out a liar even if he was on TV. Some of my best friends were hippies at the time. I got along with them…but I did not share their politics. And Thanks.
September 15th, 2007 at 7:16 pmI really do wish those anti-Military scum protesters would DIE!!!!
September 15th, 2007 at 7:27 pmThose moronic anti-victory freaks are so mindless. They just dont get the fact that freedom isnt free. Our boys are dying to defend their freedom to be idiots. Thankless bastards. They are such cowards. I truly wish our domestic insurgents could join forces with their friends the head loppers so we would never have to hear from them again.
September 15th, 2007 at 7:32 pmMaddening that Marxist political necrophiliac orgs like A.N.S.W.E.R., Daily Kos, et al can still find large quantities of Americans that are so overwrought by the burden of freedom that they will allow themselves to be led around by the nose like this.
September 15th, 2007 at 7:40 pmFucking pussies.
“Things often came close to blows…”
That is no understatement. I was along the route, and watched the metal barricades inch their way out into the street from the weight of Eagles leaning against them. I think its safe to say that there were a lot of patriots in DC who wanted blood today.
Watching these braindead, bin Laden-supporting dumb shits stream by, it struck me that their “arguments” against the war were mostly political. They stressed impeaching Bush more than anything. It is clear to me (as if it weren’t before) that these assholes are only interested in short-term political gains associated with failure, and they really either haven’t though about the cost in terms of American and Iraqi lives or they just don’t care.
They are the Decadent Class in this country; unbelievably petty and so wrapped up in their own protected, oil-soaked lives that they just plain don’t function on the same world as the rest of us. I am proud beyond words of the ladies and gents who stood up to these decadent degenerates today!
September 15th, 2007 at 7:48 pmwhat these people don’t seem to (or want to) realize is when our boys come home from Iraq, the war won’t be over, the war on terriosim will continue, whether they like it or not.
September 15th, 2007 at 8:23 pmDan the Infidel– thanks, yeah after you mention it there are some names missing. But thankfully yours is not. I’m often short on time but tune in for your take. Question: How did you ever wash the slime off your hand after touching John Friggin Kerry? LOL
September 15th, 2007 at 8:39 pmGood for you Q-Mech, I wish we could’ve been there. I would’ve LMAO.

September 15th, 2007 at 9:03 pmThose people disgust me. If you can’t stand behind the troops then they should stand in front of them.
I am very anxious to see the pics and hear the stories that come back with our buddies at Dollard Nation!
I am sure they will be making some cool videos with the footage as well. Glad to know that some made it there.
September 15th, 2007 at 9:16 pmmaybe…just maybe….people are protesting for the simple reason that dying is bad..mmkay? i know alot of people think that war is needed. but humans evolve, evolution evolves. do you not agree that at some point in time humans will no longer need to fight? why not try and get to that point in OUR lifetimes. when we can talk to each other and settle our differences peacefully, only then can we move on united. there are going to be differences that will require sacrifice from BOTH ends in order to achieve stability. Equality among all peoples must be achieved. would you not rather sacrifice a portion of your lavish lifestyle in order for those less fortunate to become more fortunate, or would you rather risk your life, and achieve nothing? As long as we have something that others dont, there will be conflict.
Has this armed conflict directly affected you positively? is there any positive concrete thing that has been achieved by this or any war. When people say that a war was required to stay free, they do not realize that a country at war is not free. they are slaves to war. america has become a slave to war. america needs war. imagine if there was no war for america? so many companies would go bankrupt, so many jobs lost. america has made war a requirement to its survival. therefor america needs a soldier to die. if there are not dying soldiers there is no war. every so often a dead soldier is needed to be converted to money. imagine what could be gained if both sides of the political aisle would together to achieve concrete results. it is hard to help citizens with health care, education, etc when so much is being spent on war. its not hard to understand.
wanting it all without sacrifice is a ever-losing battle.
September 15th, 2007 at 9:31 pmMake no mistake. If we pull out now, if the Marxists win the White House in 08, say good bye to the United States of America…
And say hello to Komrade Leader Klinton and the Peoples Democratic Republic of the Kollective States of Amerika.
By the way… just a thought… the next time the Marxists have a die in?… Listen up Gathering of Eagles!!!…
Have a Behead in. Yup, make it all gross and nasty, fake blood, screaming, the whole bit!!!!
September 15th, 2007 at 9:47 pmIt’s another demonstration of the one-sided jerkiness in the confrontations all the way from the street to the media to Congress. One side is freaked-out and wrong; the other is dignified and right. That’s what the public is seeing, even if only subliminally so far.
BTW, Pat, “Political” has 2 i’s, and “Assassination” has 4 s’s. Check your titles.
September 15th, 2007 at 10:03 pmFinally got my first ride on the Metro. Took it from Union Station to the Naval Memorial. Hung out there with GOE types and other like minded. There were many opportunities to do what I guess I can describe as an Abbott and Costello schtick with this guy who has a son over in Iraq. We played off of each other, he being Abbott and I being a considerably slimmed down Costello. Listening to their connection of dots as they compose their pictures was not unlike Abbott and Costello’s ‘who’s on first’ comedy routine. It’s tough to keep track of it. We had a lot of fun mocking and ridiculing everyone we possibly could. After about three hours I had to go to the bathroom at a Starbucks across Pennsylvania Avenue. Then we went to a restaurant a couple of doors away and had one beer. So we were off the carnival route for about a half an hour. When we came back out said carnival had passed. Crossing back over Pennsylvania Ave. we saw that they were about four blocks away. So we followed mocking and ridiculing at every opportunity. I felt sorriest for the young, like late teens, early twenties. I kept trying to find out the adults that did that to them so I could either choke that adult or at least report them to the police for child abuse. Some of their concepts of cause and effect. When we got to the grounds of the Capitol Building I got the chance to do something I’ve always wanted to do. But, first I asked this little crowd of gorillas in bags if they had gotten the word that slavery had been abolished one-hundred fifty years ago. Then the main question, ‘aren’t you hot in those things’. One thing that raises the heat in those things is all the seething that goes on in there. You should have seen the smoke that started to leak. I clued them in on our knowing we knew how to tell the difference between the males and females that wear those bags, the Leroys and Tyrones are the ones with the big feet. We worked our way to the ‘die-in’ and I gave a fake freak-out, ‘oh, my God, what happened, call 911, these people need help’. I was forced to let this little group of about six know that if they become anymore threatening I will have no problem using the pepper-spray I had to hold in my hand for about five minutes. I was quiet and discreet, not at all flashy. One asked me if I had ever used it before and I told them about the three times I had to use one back in the 70s because while driving the taxi on three ocassions people came after me with knives. I stopped them at about eight feet away. Their little crowd backed the fuck up to about six. We continued our conversation until we finally got bored with each other. Goddam kids. I made it back to Union Station about two hours earlier than the train I had a reservation. I got in the ticket line to see if I could leave earlier. Fifteen dollars to change the ticket. Same amount of money I could leave as originally planned and have a few beers. What to do? Managed to get down two and leave at the original reserved time of 7.20pm. Stopped at a store after getting back to Philadelphia and home by ten. Great day, but, my feet are killing me. Yea, and my cat was glad to see me, too.
September 16th, 2007 at 1:21 amfor you Cunnningham! I was there today as well.
It was great meeting Michelle Malkin and her cohort Brian, they are great patriots who do important work! Also briefly met Melanie Morgan, Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson, and many others there.
After the G.O.E. rally we lined up on both sides of Pennsylvania Ave and waited for the treasonista’s to begin their drama queen freakshow that we all knew was coming eventually. It didn’t take long for 4 or 5 Code Pinko fruitcake attention whores, including Medea Benjamin, to repeatedly parade from street corner to street corner at the intersection of 7th and Pennsylvania Ave. 30 minutes before the main event began. Many of us had a great chuckle on the sidewalk there when the banner they were flaunting got ripped from their grubby mitts and ripped by a great American, whoever he was. HAHAHA!!!!
When it started it was only a matter of time before it got hostile as the vets were not in the mood for pleasantries, and it did. If the police weren’t there and barricades put in front of us there would have been much violence, no doubt about it. I personally challenged at least 10 of those shitheads to a go and to meet me and my Marines at the Wall but they never showed. Sorry, but I wasn’t trying to keep my cool after they tried to actually burn my small U.S. flag while I held it out for them and viciously taunted them on their treason, but I’m very fast and they couldn’t come close to getting it. There was one particularly disgusting puke I challenged to a scrap and of course he was a wimp. He was dressed up as a wounded troop, with fake blood and camo fatigues. Here’s the pussy’s photo, he’s disgusting:
http://michellemalkin.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/themblood.jpg
I still want to let him taste his own REAL blood by my hand, plus I’ll cut his head on the guitar any day of the week too! PIG!
Bunch of drama queen retarded ass pussies! The dems should be ashamed of themselves for going to bed with these kind of useful idiots.
September 16th, 2007 at 2:17 amCunningham, I meant not a question mark, sorry. LOL.
Pat, it was great talking to you on the radio last Sunday Night. You be “Da Man”! I told a bunch of Marines about you today.
Semper Fidelis everybody!
September 16th, 2007 at 2:19 amBob USMC, yea, the question mark, but, good you clarified that. We probably passed each other a couple of times. The sun gradually was being blocked by the Archives Building so I moved to, it must have been 8th, steady sun. Thought of moving across Pennsylvania but would have had the sun in my eyes. Don’t want it too hot, don’t want it too cool, dam, getting fussy over the years. Anyway, I clicked your link and I got a Forbidden page.

How did I get the slime of Kerry off of my hands? I went to a three-day weekend seminar at Ft Jackson, S.C. Had a blast. Forgot all about dipshit Kerry.
September 16th, 2007 at 5:45 amWake up people, I am currently serving in the Army and our Army is broken Soldiers will get out of the Army in droves because of this war. The administration took their focus from Afghanastan and we are bogged down in Iraq preventing an all out civil war. The only way to stop us from getting out is to pull out of Iraq. We are tired, worn down and mentally devistated after four years of back to back deployments. If you don’t wake up and stop this war you will not have an Army. Officers are getting out because they no longer believe in this so called war.
September 16th, 2007 at 6:05 ama andeson
Get out, I’m wide awake and don’t know what that has to do with your plight. Don’t be a faggot ass mouth piece, just get out with your time served and be proud. I’m proud and thankful of you and what you have accomplished.

Oh, how sad for you. The neocommies gave you Dollard duty, huh? You poor shit. What’d you guys do … write down blog addies and then pull them out of a hat? Sheesh! Let me be the first to greet you here:
You are a fucking liar.
I’m pretty mild compared to the mud-hole stompin’ the rest are going to give you … So, if I wuz u I’d do what you neocommies do best … CUT AND RUN, mutthaaa fucker!
September 16th, 2007 at 7:00 ama andeson - first of all, IF you’re actually an American serviceman, thank you for your service. I say IF because fraudulent comments exactly like yours show up from time to time. I can understand that you’d be worn down from the heavy duty schedule, but don’t take it out on the others with whom you serve. Comments like that are literally broadcast around the world and can show up again to haunt you - notice the Osama bin Laden quoted an angry soldier in his recent speech. If you’ve had enough, then get out and we at home support you all the way and thank you for your service. But don’t screw up what you’ve done with an angry stomp on the keyboard.
Hey Bob USMC - yeah, how about those Code Pink fruitcakes providing the warm-up? That was rich. It was like being treated to the Code Pink Fashion Show, with a handful of Pepto-Hotties trolling the catwalk! They were modeling the latest in Surrenderwear. Ol’ Medea Benjamin, there - she usually wears a burqua but decided to taunt the boys with some skin! That saucy bird! I was chuckling to myself, picturing an announcer calling the show: “Her information card says she likes puppies, babies, long walks on the beach, and pleasuring herself to pictures of Osama bin Laden! Politics is the most important thing she can think of, and she is active in supporting Iraqi genocide in order to give her political masters more power! Ladies and gents, a big UP YOURS to Medea! These ladies are a bit past their prime. Heads may no longer turn, but they sure will roll!”
Wish I’d had a megaphone at that moment…!

Be DAMN glad they’ve developed drugs to get your ass out of bed in the morning. As fucking if all that was shown/seen in D.C. done by the antiwar communists/anarchists was so much more tame and civil than what I wrote. You are an ignorant ass.
BTW - Get another term for us … “Chickenhawks” are pedophiles … sexual deviants. Those are in your ranks … NOT ours.
September 16th, 2007 at 7:07 amAnderson’s not in the army. He’s just like all the faggots at the protest who wore uniforms that have never been in the military. The basic pedesrian and hackneyed nature of his talking points betray him. He knows his ranting is the usual kool-aid bullshit that no one will pay attention to, so like the coward he is he pretends to be more of a serious voice than he is. If you can’t argue for who you are, then you’ve got serious mental problems. As well as no spine.
September 16th, 2007 at 7:36 amWDRussell -
WOW! Went to your site … And I must tell you I read a heck of a lot of things that were … well, you really make my idea for a GOE banner, that you saw fit to complain about, look pretty damn tame in comparison to what you write.
Seems to me you are the one who needs to: “Be thankful you live in a country that allows you to go out in public”

But seriously…did anyone catch the videos on on Fox News? I did ya’ll really need to catch the reporter interviewing one of the “dead” at the “die in.”
It pissed me off enough to spend a goodly portion of my Sunday writing about it (since I can’t frickin walk due to a ruck march blister the size of my palm).
The text is below.
“Can I ask you why you are here…”
“I’m here standing here in solidarity with the American people. The majority. We the people who do not stand with the president and the congress because they will do nothing. They will do nothing, they will not listen to our opinion, that’s why I’m here because we represent the people, we all represent the people of this country.”
“Do feel that, the troops(sic)…are you for the veteran’s?”
“No I’m not.”
Her breathe shuddered before she spoke, her mind stumbled over a mental porridge of propaganda she’s been fed, she stumbles one moment, amid the distant echo of common sense, a dying gasp of life in something never ever instilled in her by family, or her educational system. Does the whisper of guilt hover over her corpse of patriotism?
“They are fighting against nothing. They are fighting for nothing. They are dying for nothing. This happened in America thirty…”
She stutters to practice public math.
“…forty years ago. This happened to the country when Nixon, when LBJ were in office.”
She didn’t say LBJ micromanaged the war and passed the problem to Nixon, nor did she show any remorse for a few million Cambodians.
“We are just experiencing history all over again, so I’m going to do exactly what I read in my history books…”
…History professors also interpret it. Few teach the lesson of following history to prevent making the same mistake. She is taught to relive history, to rejuvenate it so the professors can relive the sixties through her, as they try to steer us towards the same mistake they propagated.
…and what you were fed by whatever education has brought you to the point you are lying on the ground in D.C., covered in fake blood, talking to a reporter without ever opening your eyes, and blurting out what sounds like a semi-carefully scripted response to your fouled up reasoning, all the while, truly
TRULY
stating the left’s opinion of those in uniform.
“…and practice my first amendment.”
“Do you believe General Petreus is telling the truth?”
Here one needs keep two words in mind;
WORDS
and
ACTION.
Like saying, “put your money where your mouth is”. This woman has done nothing more with her life but loathe the country keeping her free from the bhurka
The limit of her experience is college, maybe social work. She has never embraced the suck, faced a physical, mental, and emotional adversary only to come out on top a better person; prouder, and imbued with a sense of accomplishment and integrity. She can only know definitions, and security through conversation, and discussion, and how she feels, and she is certain she must dictate how you must feel, because she has been told we are all humanist and should feel a certain way. Skewed philosophical reasoning and humanistic justification cannot equal Godliness.
She knows definitions; not the type in collegiate dictionaries, but rather interpretations based on the information given her within the limit of her experiences in life. Action. Words. She is words and definitions, philosophy, reasoning, and understanding in a cloak of secularism.
Despite effort to redefine the tenets that have made this country great, she remains self-reassuring that what she has been taught is true, their way is the right way, yet the wavering voice tells the truth…they are only words. Action is not what they have told you, the stories they had of the sixties. A real American? They want to be someone. They want to look back on life some day and know they did good, they contributed. Lying around a bunch of people in fake blood is not action. It is a play, it is the literal acting out of the meanings of words you have been taught. The best she can do is become a professor, follow in their footsteps and elbow her fellows some day, talking about what a grand year ‘07 was. They try to re-define patriotism as dissent. Integrity is skewed and “Honor”, they do not even try to explain.
If the rubber hit the road, her and those beside her would flee. The General, nor I, nor you, nor us would not.
She gives us her definitions:
“Do you believe that ad that General Petraus is a traitor.”
“General Petraus is a coward,” she says in her best elitist, informed voice. “He speaks for no one but himself and the people that want money with him…”
She trails off into making less sense…
“All the oil mongering, war mongering, all the…”
Shaking her head, the jumbled leftist thoughts fight, and crash in her mind like a train wreck, twisted metal, an overstuffed Ziploc of worms wriggling to find an orifice to burst from, it’s a crapshoot what verbiage will win.
“He’s not us, he does the, he does not speak us…”
With her last few words, she wrinkles her brow a bit.
“He is not our general…”
The strange money quote…
“We are our own general…”
Satisfied, she juts out her jaw, brow still furrowed. She juts it a further, and purses her lips to speak as though something more is chiseling the back of her teeth to escape, but perhaps she senses the reporter has relayed his last question and she rests her head back onto the body she is lying near.
I suspect the reporter wanted to say, “Well all-righty then,” but he chose differently.
He’s a coward…
He is not our general, we are our own general.
Words and action baby. Words and action…..
September 16th, 2007 at 10:29 amYou know what the funny part is. You look at all those leftist protesters, it’s like going to a carnival. Freaks everywhere. Wearing costumes that have nothing to do with anything, wild hair, tiedye, off the wall antics. It’s a freaking circus. Then you look at everybody from the Pro-Military marches and they are representative of your average american in this country, NORMAL!!!
September 16th, 2007 at 11:28 amI took the train down from NYC, got to the rally by the Washington monument a little late because I took directions from an idiot (although I’m probably just as stupid for not looking closer at the subway map), and then we went to Pennsylvania Ave. where we waited…and waited…and waited, for the moonbats to show up.
There were more than a few muj in the crowd, and not just the dopey white kids wearing kaffiyes (sp?). I offered to send them to their 72 Helen Thomases, but none of them took me up on the offer.
My chants of choice:
Soap! Water! Google it!
Where’s your burka?
Go get your head cut off!
@ the jihadis:
Death before dhimmitude! Preferrably yours!
@ the anarchists:
Show us your face! Wait, dont’ show us your face!
We made our way to a spot to the right of the capitol, a pathway between two stone walls (an easily defended position). I couldn’t really see the action on the lawn, just cops in riot gear coming down the steps and traitors in cuffs being dragged up.
Got hit on by a truly fugly Truther chick (she liked my “I am the infidel your mother warned you about). Told her to walk away before I did something she would regret. There is nothing worse than a Truther.
Eventually things petered out, and we made our way back to the (already dismantled) rally site, stopping at the foot of the lawn to heckle the moonbats a bit. Their response? “Suck on these nuts!” Classy. Then some guy came over and starting ranting about carbon fiber or something. Bored us to death, so we continued on our way.
Passed a bunch of passed out or OD’d hippies, including a girl who must’ve lost bowel control. Lovely. Two pieces of shit got in our faces, spouting the most vile crap, trying to get Chris Hill, one of the organizers, to throw a punch so they could sue. Me and a few others got right in their faces.
I told one I’d like to beat the shit out of him, but he’d enjoy it too much. He started saying that I just made a threat and that he’d sue my ass. I said the only ones suing me would be his next of kin, and walked away.
Hung out with a couple of guys, got our pictures taken by college chicks (one of the guys, who’s posted here, had Stars and Stripes facepaint), and made my way back to Union Station. Finally got back to NYC around midnight.
September 16th, 2007 at 11:49 amWD: You should be thankful you live in a country that won’t allow us to kill your misguided ass. Fuck off, lefty pig.
P.S.: Chickenhawks? Hardly. Most of us either are in the military, are about to go into the military, have military family members, or are veterans. The ones that don’t fit into any of the above are patriots with a good dose of common sense. You? You’re a fucking loon. I read your little waste of fuckin’ space you call a website. You stand for nothing. You perceive someone who won’t even attack you as the enemy, while giving a pass to and aiding those who would hack your fuckin’ head off. You are a fucking disgrace. You have no right to claim the title of U.S. citizen, you fuckin’ leech.
September 16th, 2007 at 12:58 pmticktickboom, you know Chris also?
September 16th, 2007 at 1:05 pmYa’ll seen the Fox video of the POS chick at the die-in being interviewed? I’ve got the video and analysis up “there” if you haven’t.
Got a call from a friend who’s an Apache pilot, he happened to be in D.C. Said it felt pretty good letting off steam yelling at the hippies and that the supporters outnumbered the leftards 2×1.
By the way, I have heard rumors that WERussel’s has a small penis, that’s why he is so angreeeeeeeey.

First, hope that damn blister clears up quick for you.
Second, thanks for the round up on the flop-tart at the protest. I’d started my retorts to her remarks, but read through yours and saw you’d said pretty much all I was going to.
Great job. You’re worth more than 100 of her.
September 16th, 2007 at 3:48 pm@John Cunningham
Not personally, but I knew who he was, and there was no way I would stand and do nothing while some subhuman tried to goad him into embarassing the GOE. I was hardly alone in getting right back into the two troublemakers’ faces.
The other freak was taunting him, saying that Chris had served to give him (the moonbat) the right to insult and denigrate everything we stand for. The guy I got into it with wasn’t as loud, but was even more vile.
This tells you something about the enemy. I taunted him, hoping he would attack me so I could pound him, legally. He taunted me, hoping I would pound him so he could sue me. Who do you want watching your back? Someone who wants to defeat the enemy, or someone who wants nothing more than to be beaten?
September 16th, 2007 at 6:15 pm“and mt cat was glad to see mee”
did he prepare your dinner ?
September 17th, 2007 at 12:55 amTicktickboom…
You should have had that cigar! I guess you’ll have to join us next time around on the mall right?
After you left the metro a few moonbats got on, saw us, and got right off again…
Talk about funny!
September 17th, 2007 at 4:18 pmI’ll be there if possible. Go to http://jillosophy.blogspot.com/2007/09/wahington-dc-patriot-counter-protest.html
