Let me be clear: If these guys had tried this just a few months ago, they would have all been slaughtered on videotape within 72 hours. Bodyguards and all. There was no such thing as a Westerner walking around anywhere in either city, outside of on a military patrol, let alone maintaining an office in them. And on patrols, you usually bounded in order to avoid being sniped. Both Ramadi and Diayal were the operational centers, the capitals if you will, of Al Qaeda in Iraq right up till this Spring and Summer.

So just how does a U.S. wireless company open and staff offices in both of these places if, as the Dems assured us, the war was lost months ago?

PALM BEACH, FL (RUSHPRNEWS) October 3, 2007 - Dr. Gerald ( Gerry) Waterson, CEO of Barger Corporation of Palm Beach, Florida has announced the establishment of field offices in Ramadi, Anbar and Baqubah, Diyala. The contracts call for the establishment of wireless data voice, and video networks for those areas of Iraq.

Dr. Waterson stated that ” the steadily improving conditions in these provinces, once considered Al-Quaeda strongholds, has made this venture possible. The cooperation of the tribal leaders has been a real boost to our endeavors.”

Equipment to be set up in the areas will consist of satellite dishes, cellular towers, offices, and video production studios. Training facilities will also be established. Similar operations were established in the Kurdish reqions earlier this year.

Might make it also easier to monitor terrorists communications. You know the terrorists will use the same network. All-in-all this is more progress. Semd a copy of this news to Hairy Weed. Talk about someone who needs a “slamming”…

This is very encouraging news. When businesses start to flourish it proves the progress being made in ways they will be hard pressed to deny.
