Member of U.S.-Allied 1920’s Brigade guards two Al Qaeda prisoners in Diyala
Diala, Oct 6, (VOI) – A joint U.S.-Iraqi force arrested two suspected leaders of al-Qaeda during a military operation on Saturday morning, while U.S. aircrafts shelled several al-Qaeda strongholds in Diala’s Baldroz district, a local police chief said.
“With the participation of Multi-national Force (MNF) personnel, a Baldroz police force launched a military operation in the district and arrested two leading members of al-Qaeda,” Colonel Farid Radi al-Omiri told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).
No further details were given by the colonel.
Meanwhile, U.S. military aircrafts bombed several al-Qaeda positions in Baldroz villages, but no casualties have been reported thus far, Col. al-Omiri added.
No comment was available from the U.S. army on the incident.
Baaquba, the capital city of Diala province, lies 57 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
The 1920’s brigades are some mean motherfuckers. These clowns that were arrested will be lucky if they make it to prison alive with body parts intact.
