These are great vehicles. The survivability rate in an IED attack is phenominal. Not counting Buffaloes, the last I checked no one has yet been killed by an IED in an MRAP.
The MRAP was designed to take a massive hit from an IED and still keep the crew alive. Coupled with the new gun mounts
…I forget who makes them….the MRAP will protect not only the crew but the gunner as well.
Anything that brings back soldiers and Marines alive and can give them a high degree of protection from IED’s is an outstanding use of taxpayer monies.
October 13th, 2007 at 2:59 amDan(The Infidel), the MRAP’s are produced by Force Protection and BAE. They truly are the best protection offered for the money.
October 13th, 2007 at 6:31 amThats great I hope my Son gets one of these vehicles. All they got is the upgraded armor Humvees. Those cannot survived the new Iranian shape charge IEDs!
