“you shouldn’t be allowed to lie on the air”…Translation: “You shouldn’t be allowed to spout conservative ideas because Liberalism is the Truth”

Kinda funny how morally relativistic liberals can suddenly subscribe to an idea of Truth. For a “lie” to exist, a version of “truth” must also exist. If there were no “truth,” a lie would simply be one person’s subjective reality. By claiming that anyone can “lie,” Franken claims that there is such a thing as objective truth (it would have to be objective in order to “fairly” govern the “marketplace of ideas”).

All I can say is that Franken has put his foot in his mouth and shoved it all the way into his stomach.

Humble Jano - well put :beer:nazdrowie!.. The lib’s indeed have no clue about the market. To them there’s nothing “fair” about competition ergo all the Big Gov’t “you-can’t-make-it-w/out-us” crap that’s come down the pike since the 60’s .Nature abhors a vacuum, so does the market. People listen, or don’t listen as is the case w/Air America. They can’t compete, so they complain. Common sense trumps liberal-bleeding-heartology..If they start fucking around with any amendments remember the 2nd!…That’s why it’s there..

If anyone wants to see the face of facism in this country, just go to any University and try and deliver a conservative speech. Better still tune in to what’s left of Air America or NPR. Or listen to Noam Chomsky or Howard Zinn sometime. These useful idiots with their infantile minds do Hitler and Stalin proud every day.
