Video: C-Ram Jam
C-Ram surprises cameraman by suddenly opening up on incoming indirect fire. Used to shoot down incoming rockets, artillery rounds, and mortars. Camera guy seems to be standing by KBR trucks.

great footage!
the c-ram on land does not use uranium tips, they actually use self destructing shells that reduce collateral damage when used on land
it is a land based phalanx system
you can hear the shells self destructing near the end of the clip, lots of small pops, like a firework shell finishing
man we make great toys

Those two loud groans (perhaps the second one was an echo of the first)… Are those actually from the C-RAMS, or perhaps a base warning siren?
That sound would have scared the crap out of me. I’m more audio sensitive than visual.
