Brave Of The Home
Like Haystack, I am not at all a fan of chain e-mails.
But look at this picture carefully, then read what is below.

We have a long list of good friends whose husbands are deploying to Iraq next month. One of the wives sent me this. We feel compelled to send it on. Your prayers are deeply appreciated. These guys deserve our love, our hugs and most powerfully, our prayers.
Prayer Request:
I understand that life in Iraq is very difficult to bear right now. Our troops need our prayers for strength, endurance and safety.
Send this on after a short prayer; please don’t break it:
“Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need… Amen.”
When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops around the world.
There’s nothing attached; just send this to all in your address book. Do not let it stop with you, please — of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine deployed in harm’s way, prayer is the very best!!!
Consider it sent.
October 30th, 2007 at 9:18 pmDamn…I’m not ashamed to say that picture makes my eyes wet. I remember this picture and the story behind it. That young man makes me proud. God bless the family and I thank them for their sacrifice.
October 30th, 2007 at 9:44 pmI don’t know the story behind this picture, but I wish I did. It should give pause to all the “patriots” like Murtha, Reid and Kerry who recklessly say our Marines “murdered in cold blood,” or say “the war is lost,” before the fight is over, or say our soldiers “terrorized Iraqis in the middle of the night, raped them or murdered them.” Seeing this, it should make them shut up forever.
October 30th, 2007 at 9:54 pmI wish I could agree with you Lamp but we’ve all seen enough of liberals to know what they’d do with it. They’d flop and say they were never against the Marines. It would become a war of semantics as hairs were split distinguishing between Marines, things specific marines did, the administration that ordered marines into battle, the chain of command, etc.
Compare this to the outrageous fusion of man and action in the case of gays. If you disapprove of homosexuality, you obviously hate gays themselves.
Liberals say what they have to in order to destroy their opponents and then hope that people forget how many times they’ve waffled on the issues.
The mentality which Liberals share is utterly wicked and corrupt. The only unifying factor is profound self-interest. If they ever appear to care about an issue (blacks, gays, etc.) it is because of the power it will give them.

October 30th, 2007 at 11:02 pmI have to agree with you here. It’s like we see things in a completely different spectrum from the one the liberals see in. In this picture we see a child, filled with grief, trying to be as brave as the hero he mourns. They see another victim that they can co-opt and use to increase their political advantage.
What a powerful image it is!

This pic always makes me cry alittle I wish I knew how to help that kid.
October 31st, 2007 at 3:46 amMindy: Vote Republican, forever. And no RINOs either. Also, enlist. Just some ideas.
October 31st, 2007 at 6:08 amThanks, Brian. Sure enough, some libs did try to use the image to promote their “cause.” The boy’s father, SGT Marcus Golczynski was a patriot and lived and died for something he believed in, which is more than can be said for many people. I am sure little Christian Golczynski’s life will be that much better because of his father’s noble, heroic service. I hope his family and friends are able to help the kid, and I’m sure they will step up. Mindy: support your country, support veterans causes, take in a foster kid/adopt (this kid has a family, but many kids don’t). Just some thoughts.
October 31st, 2007 at 9:26 amYou can’t sacrifice more than this. A prayer is a very small payment.
October 31st, 2007 at 10:28 amI see a strength and destiny in that boy’s eyes and face. His Daddy is alive and thriving inside him.
G-d bless him …
October 31st, 2007 at 11:40 amHis father named him rightly and lived it.
