Could someone who knows how these things work provide the Who, What, Why, Where, When commentary for these videos? It’d help those of us who aren’t experts to understand exactly what we’re looking at, though obviously some bad guys got a quick trip to Allah.
Thanks

November 5th, 2007 at 2:10 pmWhat just happened there is actually very plain to see. An aircraft, be it fixed wing helo or UAV, caught bad guys in the open preparing an IED (Improvised Explosive Device/Carbomb). And then they took Gen. Patton’s advice and gave the enemy the opportunity to die for his country……wait these dumbasses don’t fight for a country do they? Ok the crew of the airship just helped them get laid by 72 virgins….if the virgins did not find their burned and disfigured bodies too grotesque!
Howie, far be it from me to accuse you of being a leftist, but the first sentence of your comment I think needs addressing. Ever see leftists answering a question and they start off with, “it’s so painfully obvious, and I will demean myself by answering those of you that aren’t as intelligent as I”. When someone, as you did, says “actually very plain to see” you’re doing the same thing. I’m sure Greg isn’t stupid. Even I’m not stupid. Things that are very familiar to some isn’t seen by others. In ancient times each platoon had one starlight scope. Today, everyone has a miniaturized version mounted to their helmet. Today they go to war with laptops and all those bells and whistles that to those of us during ancient times thought were so futuristic. Today you have a front seat all the way to the target. In ancient times everyone had to take cover when artillery was needed because they were good, but, shit happens. I hate it when they’re a little short or long and I’m under short or long.
November 6th, 2007 at 6:05 amToday with, I think with 20 digit grid coordinates, and global positioning satellites, the first round is put into the square inch they wanted it to go. I did five years in the RA and ten in the Guard which ended in ‘94 and sometimes I have to say, “somebody ‘xplain that to me” in this whole new world. Now, since I’m smarter than Greg, I didn’t need ‘xplaining on this one (kidding, kidding). I know you didn’t mean to come off with a condescending attitude, but, your choice of words gives one that impression.
