Uh, Your Bride Needs A Shave: Busted Baghdad Wedding Convoy Are Terrorists
BAGHDAD — Soldiers manning a checkpoint near Baghdad stopped a wedding convoy to find that the purported bride and groom were wanted terror suspects, an Iraqi Defense Ministry official said Monday.
The Army set up the checkpoint last week in the Taji area, about 12 miles (20 kilometers) north of Baghdad.
The soldiers became suspicious of the convoy because its members — save the “bride” — were all male and because one of the cars in the convoy did not heed orders to stop, the official said.
Also, soldiers said, the people in the car seemed nervous and the groom refused to lift his bride’s veil when soldiers asked him to, according to the official.
Soldiers ordered everyone out of the car, the official said.
Upon inspecting the convoy, soldiers found a stubbly-faced man, Haider al-Bahadli, decked out in a white bride’s dress and veil.
Bahadli was wanted on terror-related charges, as was his groom, Abbas al-Dobbi, the official said.
Two other terror-related suspects were detained as well.

Awwww! … Makes a real pur-tee bride, eh, Jim Bob?
Anybody else having that final scene in “The African Queen” running through their head where, just before they were to be hanged for trying to sink the German warship the Louisa, Rose and Charlie Allnut asked the German captain to marry them …?
November 26th, 2007 at 4:07 pmAww, how nice, Adam and Steve going public…Send them to Iran and they can be the “the first couple”
November 26th, 2007 at 4:07 pmAs funny as all of this is, doesn’t it seem as though the bride has had an image PhotoShopped into the veil? It just looks odd to me, especially considering the lighting on “her” face is so different than the lighting on “her” groom. The line down the center of the picture could very well be a fold or an unwanted special effect. OK. Too analytical. I’ll suspend my disbelief and just say “BUSTED!”.

November 26th, 2007 at 4:53 pmWe are insurgents trying to escape, we are not gay. Why was I bending over? Well it had to look real. I didnt enjoy it, it was just part of the escape plan. Your sending me to prision? An all man prision? Cool, , I’ll be the bride.
November 26th, 2007 at 5:32 pmSend them to a prison in Afghanistan. The Talibani prisoners there are real fond of men wearing dresses. LOL.
Or..send them to Iran. There is no gay problem in Iran according to Stinky Ahmedisadickhead. I’m sure the Iraniacs could arrange a nice reception for the bride and groom…including a nice crane for their honeymoon send-off to Paradise Lost.
Almost forgot…nice job Iraqis.
November 26th, 2007 at 6:24 pmlest we forget: I distinctly remember a controversial bombing on the border of syria, where the iraqi’s(likely the terrorists, the MSM never makes a distinction)said we bombed a wedding party. i remmeber liberals shouting : “how could you” “oh, the injustice” and our military said we killed a bunch of terrorists. Then a couple days later the terrorrists showed us pictures of the dead wedding party: (it takes a couple days to dig up the appropriate bodies)
Perhaps, this example is just one of many that were never caught.
Too bad the terrrorists didnt play up the Gay thing. You know: camping out with guys for years having not seen a woman in a longtime, people get that prisoner syndrom where osama bin jerkin off is looking awfully cute in his pajamas.

November 26th, 2007 at 9:01 pmJewish Odysseus, now that was hilarious. I can’t determine which is funnier. The fact that the Iraqi’s had to lower the guys dress to show he had no boobs to prove to themselves he was a guy, or the fact that the guy got caught in a dress.
Personally I think they should have implemented their vaunted honor killing when they though he was a women and then said oops… Guess he was a guy, our bad.
