Musharraf Arrests Four Officials For Treason, Face Death Sentence
KARACHI, Pakistan (AP) - Three politicians and a union activist were charged with treason for making anti-government speeches in the southern port city of Karachi, a court official said Thursday.
The men were the first to be reported charged with treason since President Gen. Pervez Musharraf declared a state of emergency on Saturday and suspended Pakistan’s constitution.
The four were arrested Monday and were interrogated by police before being formally charged Wednesday, said a court official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media.
If convicted, the charge carries a maximum sentence of death.
Hm, can we arrange to have Ted, Nancy, and Harry go on a speaking tour there?

November 8th, 2007 at 2:33 amThe Bush administration is just like Musharraf in taking away our freedoms.
Oh! Wait a minute we can bash our government and even call President Bush Hitler and a neo-Nazi without being charge for treason. Of course its not as nice in the states as it would be in Cuba with the love and understanding of Castro. I don’t care what the liberals say it is great living in the USA today.
What about Bhutto? She should be locked up too. She is not cool and is as corrupt as Saddam…wake up and read the history of this corruptocrat Bhutto, easy to find here: http://www.samsloan.com/benazir.htm
