Video: Hillary Plays Gender Card While Explaining She Doesn’t Use It
Campbell Brown asked Hillary Clinton about her “boys club” comment that got her accused of playing the gender card.
Brown wanted to know if Hillary is using the gender card. Clinton, unsurprisingly said “I’m not exploiting anything at all” and “I’m not using the gender card.” Clinton then quipped “People aren’t attacking me because I’m a woman, they’re attacking me because I’m ahead.” One minute later, she said: “I am thrilled to be running to be the first woman president ever.” Click image to watch:
Hillary’s answer wasn’t good enough for Campbell and she followed it up asking her to elaborate on the term “boys club.” Hillary gave one of those “Oh, Campbell, you silly girl, why whatever could you mean” type of responses. And then she played the gender card. Here’s what Hillary learned at Wellesley “I think it is clear from woman’s experiences from time to time there may be some impediments.” Gender card, schmender card.
