I never really believed that America would START a war against Iran because the political blowback would hamper us against the Jihadist wars that will still be going on for decades. I believe that Bush weighed two options, either let Iran have a first strike or hand the fuse to Israel. The first option would be signalled by simply doing nothing. The second option has now been signalled by a clear diplomatic message. It will be down to Israel to start the war in what can then be understood by the West as a necessary act of self preservation. This formally hands the baton to Israel. I never really believed

All the saber rattling, threatening to impeach this, bomb that, and I'll be damned if a "new report" shows up, and son of a bitch, all is well, all OK! no problemo! (a little mexican lingo). Those ol'e spy vs.spy boy's--they are good!, saved the day again! All thanks be to the mysterious senior official who used the old "vigorous scrub" of all the trade craft available.
